Something To Add: Stomach Cancer

Okay, here is the BEST talk on stomach cancer I have seen in a LONG time! It's Rachel, from Rachel and Jun on YouTube (formerly the 'My Husband is Japanese' channel).

And here is my something to add, using the book All Is Well by Louise Hay and Mona Lisa Shulz MD

Chakra:  Yellow
Mantra:   I have a RIGHT to do, to act!

Represents: The third emotional center--digestive system, weight, adrenal glands, pancreas and addiction. It is all about an individual's sense of self and how they fulfill responsibilities to others.

Science: 'Let's look at an ulcer as an example. Scientists attribute ulcers to an overgrowth of the helicobacter pylori, a bacterium that occurs naturally in the stomach. This overgrowth is seen more often in people with heightened anxiety. This may be the result of an exaggerated immune system response in their digestive tracts, which makes their stomach and bowel lining more permeable to the bacteria. Stress and anxiety can come from a number of sources, but this is especially prevalent in highly competitive work environments. Studies have shown that people who have to deal with significant stress on a day-to-day basis have an increased incidence of ulcers. The same thing can be seen in animals. Studies found that when rodents are place in situations where they have to constantly compete for mates and resources, they experience digestive problems and ulcers.

Perfectionism is also closely associated with stomach and bowel problems. This personality trait leads to persistent feelings of not being good enough, and it lowers self-confidence. Studies have shown that knocks to our self-worth cause a drop in blood levels of somatostatin, a hormone that inhibits the production of a number of other hormones. If hormones are out of balance, the stomach and intestines don't function properly. This can result in ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome. Ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory disease of the bowels, is also associated with the need for perfection in some people.

People who feel hopeless and helpless to escape stressful situations have higher levels of stress hormones in their blood, and this sets the scene for digestive problems. One example of this can be seen in studies that have found a correlation between growing up in a home where there was physical abuse or constant conflict and the likelihood of developing ulcers or eating disorders as an adult.'

Healing Affirmation For Stomach Cancer:  Life agrees with me. I assimilate the new every moment of every day. All is well. I lovingly forgive and release all of the past. I choose to fill my world with joy. I love and approve of myself.

My two cent's worth: Rachel, with your idea to go kiss a Japanese, you are incorporating the very BEST healing that energy medicine has to offer! Stress relief, improved self-esteem, plus the Western h.pylori!!! Strong work! Way to go!! AWESOME!!!
