Trade Winds

This is a tree filled with wishes for the Tanabata Festival in Japan

Ross gave me an assignment today.
He wanted me to be present for our boy, and to enjoy my day with him.

I am on the computer a LOT...and Ross said to 'heal our own before you heal others online'.

So I did this.

I made breakfast instead of blogging and catching up online.

I took us to the indoor racetrack and let him have fun. He also made some friends there.

I just sat. I didn't eat lunch (all they had was hot dog and nachos). So at two thirty he wanted to do the mini golf.

We did that too.

(I almost titled this 'Holy Crap!' because he likes to watch Jeff Dunham Show--and he says this all the time, just like Walter. Even this annoyance I took in stride, except at Genki Sushi, where he said it very loud in public and I said, that's not so cool...LOL. Besides, it could be worse--his favorite could be Ahkmed.)

this is a beautiful wish from a stranger, and it includes you.

I realized he is his own person. And he was good at it and very excited to compete.  He was glowing with joy and contentment.

At the same time, my aura took a hit, a major hit. No activity for three HOURS! Being blasted with very loud music (It's a nice station, Island 98.5  http://www.island985.com/main.html Here's the link so you can listen online.)

Frankly, I was stunned when we left that place.

I see clearly what I need for my aura to be healthy:
  • nature--especially ocean!
  • spirit
  • high vibration food
  • sleep
  • healing others-being useful.

this wish for healing for a family is beautiful, isn't it? it's also from a stranger too.

I was so stressed in my energy system, we went to Genki Sushi where the food comes on a little conveyer belt. I was famished. But I held my temper in check, and was the better person when he wasted three things he didn't like.

I realize it is better to ignore unwanted behavior, and to reward desired behavior.

But when I stopped at the store after, I forgot to buy what was our main course!I bought everything BUT!  LOL. That's how frazzled I was. LOL.

I wonder if this person reads Doctors With Reiki?

When kids are young, we care for them and guide them. When they grow up, we allow them to care for us and guide us. --- Confucius

Family is everything.  It's the most important thing in the world.  My grandmother Lucille said this.

Ross:
I am here with you.
I am writing because you are family to us.
You are healers in our collective, and I urge you to explore within your hearts the connection that you read this, you are drawn to this, and that means you have a purpose as healers in this lifetime!

Not everyone needs certification or an advanced degree or a position in a healing profession to be a healer--although if you do that is wonderful and a building point for adding the energy healing component to your work, just like Carla.

A smile can be infinitely healing to someone in trouble and distress.
So can an extra five dollars when the money has run out.
Or a glass of milk and a sandwich to one who is hungry.

We help those who do not manifest desired things until they are on a more even footing.

We help them up.

That is the way of the Universe. One takes a look around, and when one knows in their heart the situation, instinct that comes from many incarnations (lifetimes) as healers comes to the fore, and without knowing it, you realize just the right thing to do.

Ask your angels for guidance on this. They will assist you on your path, on your awakening.

And for those of you 'lighting the path'?

I thank you most sincerely for your energy, your effort, and your Light.

I want you to think about your message that I give to you.

I would also like to share with you a song that is very special for Carla and myself:

Love of My Life -- Fiji

Carla, I can't get enough of you... <3

I will close for both of us today.

Thank you for your attention, for your opening your heart to the message I have to share.

That goes for everyone, not just my 'shorty'. : )

When You Remember What You'd Like To Forget

Today we are going to talk about something that not many people want to discuss.

Yet it affects all of us, and I predict is going to affect even more often in our day-to-day experience than it usually has. It will be on the rise.

It started today for me with a childbirth. It was a son born to a set of parents, and I was present and doing my work as today's anesthesiologist on call. It was a joyous occasion! The child was adorable, and everything went as well as it possibly could.

Until the end when I gave report.

I saw them looking at the baby.

And I had a flashback from me and Ross, with losing our infant boy at childbirth. (I was told he died, but really, he was taken from me and no one ever said a word about it to me for the rest of my life. The child lived and was taken to Europe, it was a political thing.)

Some people say, 'It only hurts because you let it.'

I'm sorry. I couldn't disagree with that more.

Pain is a normal response in an intelligent person who has healthy reactions to noxious stimuli--be it a burn on the stove ('it only hurts because you let it!'--what kind of compassion is that? ), an emotional wound, or perhaps something from a past life, like me.

If people can have scars and birthmarks in places where they died in another life--come 'through' on this one (medium Sylvia Browne wrote about this one), then why should we dismiss things that are painful to us in THIS life?

When we work it 'through' the pain will heal--but when we ignore it, or even worse--tell ourselves it's mind over matter--then the serious damage to the soul begins.

So what did I do?

I told myself 'That was then, this is now' and I was genuinely HAPPY for the couple and for the fact that for them things went right.

I also KNOW that given the circumstances Ross was in, if I was in his shoes I would have made the same terrible mistake against him that he made against me.

But it still hurts.

And I look at it and say, 'I don't want to go there God. Can we heal it?'

Healing comes in layers. Anyone who has had PTSD will know healing of this kind is like the layers of an onion--they come up when they are ready to be healed.

So I prayed.

I talked to God about what happened. And how I feel.

I also thanked him for not saying 'it should be like THIS' and for just listening to me. It helps my heart to talk.

He confessed to me that I was no picnic after that baby was stolen. I was a warm corpse as far as I was concerned. There was no life in me for anyone. My joy was taken from me. And I knew on a deep soul level what was up. So I fought back. I was relentless in my dealings with Ross...

I would put out my wrists to him and say, 'I want to be with our son. You know where he is. Take me to him.'

'I want to be with our son. Kill me. I don't want to live.' I said it calmly. Seriously. And I made it very clear to him how I felt.

Every time I saw him, every day, I would say something along those lines. I don't want to live.

Long story short, Ross and everyone else learned, 'you don't mess with a mother and her child.'
And further, one mistake on the part of a Twin can 'effectively kill' the other half of their soul.

As I spoke with God, I was surprised at how resolute I was in that lifetime. And I confided to him that there were lots of women who had been through worse things, I've seen it even here at work with still births, and I asked why I took it so hard?

God said, 'I love you for who you are' and I realized no one sees things like I do, and I 'call it like I see it'.  Then I realized who I am in the big picture and why I have my true name. You'll find this out in time. : )

God also showed me how I refused to reincarnate with Ross ever again (my own Twin Soul!). I picked as many different lives to be as far away from him as I could. And Ross never came back to Gaia, ever. He stayed up on Flight Crew the whole time. Like a movie, I could see Ross watching me and helping me, and in my darkest moments I tried my best to run from my pain, lifetime after lifetime after lifetime.

I asked how I was able to reconnect with Ross early on this year, and not remember any of the pain that was between us?

God tapped his head and says, 'The amnesia is GOOD!' In my heart I pondered all of the people here with their Twin Souls, and how are they going to navigate the damage and the pain, like us? I felt deep compassion for all of us here on Ground Crew...

He sent me to Ross.

Ross took me to tea at the Butchart Garden. It was just us. It was the first time I'd been there without my son. I realized as my boy gets older, he is going to have his interests...Ross wanted the flight of wine to go with the tea. I asked, 'Don't you know they are terrible?' and laughed. He didn't care. He ordered it for both of us.

Ross was happy and content. I asked him to eat my trifle because it makes me full. I also asked if he would eat my egg salad sandwich because I didn't like that one either. I watched carefully how he ate and how it didn't get all over his beard. I don't know anybody with one now, and so it was something new to experience, watching him eat and not make a mess. If I had a beard I would make a mess. Even now, if you lift up my plate at the end of a meal, there will be a ring of small crumbs around it. Ross has good manners too.

Ross was making eye contact, and was thoughtful. He ate them all. And as I talked and talked (I am a talker!) we both realized I was healing from our loss, naturally. He knew I didn't blame him, but that I hurt and I wanted to heal.

I had Bachelor Button tea, and Ross had Early Grey, 'a classic', he said. When we finished we ran down to the dock, and took a boat tour of the Tod Inlet. He held me close the whole time.

We are healing with each other.

This is a ten foot thick wall on the fort that is the bottom level of Alcatraz. No mortar, no cannon is going to get through that! You can see the window up and to the right, looking out.

How many of us have walls that thick on our emotions?

I also picked the first photo, the stained glass, because no matter how you try to see the world 'clearly' sometimes your view is affected by what 'pops up' from the past, and it changes your perception.

You see, last night I spoke at length with Flight Crew. I really think that they are not 'getting' something important about the human condition here in the illusion. They tell us 'death is an illusion' and it doesn't really 'click' with us here.

The human bond runs deep and it runs this way for survival. Parent to child. Child to parent. Child to doll. Spouses. Lovers. Brothers in battle. Family. WE need each other emotionally, mentally, physically to survive.

And even though some homes growing up are abusive, this need runs so deep that in custody situations one often hears that psychologically, 'a bad mom is better than NO mom'.

Further, it is this horror of loss that is the most typical motivator--any parent knows a child will respond to 'taking it away', whatever it is the child enjoys.

And it is this manipulation at the extreme of this horror of witnessing loss of life that makes MK Ultra possible, and makes that whole dark 'machine' of the Illuminati 'go'.

In this Illusion called Duality, Love is real. You know it when you feel it. And it's not just what they sell cards for on Valentine's Day. Love is the feeling you know in your heart when someone cares about you and you care about them.

Love is FOREVER. Love is never wasted. Love is the most important energy in the Universe. And it stays with you.

If you are hurting because of a loss of Love, although according to the Galactics, the Loss is Illusion, the pain is real. Take note of it, and don't let anyone make less of you for feeling it. Your feelings are important, and the pain is letting you know something that was important to you affects your caring heart which is of God, which is pure, and is whole, and very REAL. Ask for All Divine Assistance to take this pain from you and guide you on your healing path.

Whether you need to curl up with a sourdough Koala, or a Valentine's Ted, your spirit will guide you through the healing process.

Listen to it.

Honor it.

And know that it will get better because you are intending for it to heal.

Don't wait for the Light Box to begin the healing process. Ask for All Divine Assistance to be given to your heart, to help you heal, today.

Family

My family puts the FUN in dysfunctional.

It's messed up.

Today there was a get-together to say 'goodbye' to a cousin who is moving to the midwest, and I am humbled, deeply humbled by the whole process.

The system works!

God (and the Goddess) had this crazy idea to throw us into these family units--where we--many of us Lightworkers--were thrown into the 'Lion's Den' if you will, the very worst places on the planet, To Shed Light.

Today I saw how my cousins and uncles were older...the ones I used to see every Christmas Eve and at family functions. And I thought, 'God, you were so smart to give Cousins, so I can see what the road is like ahead of where I am.'

Today I saw how darkness transformed to Light...there were several people who had hurt one another in various ways, incest, physical abuse, alcohol, gambling, infidelity...who had found peace with each other and the abusers had healed!

I found out one incest abuser had actually paid the rent, bought groceries, and traded cars (taking over the car payments) of the one he had abused and her new husband for six months when they were starting out. They wouldn't have made it without him.

Another who had been a physical abuser and made his kids pass out in a pool of blood in the bathroom on a routine basis, had tenderly cared for the wife dying of cancer, and earned the love and respect of the children and the whole family. He'd changed, in his heart, mind, body and soul and had grown. He asked, casually, how he had been so lucky to marry her, the wife who was an angel, an earth angel, in every way...

The one who cheated on his wife, and left her for another woman, only to have his ex, the one we knew, die of ovarian cancer? He married the one he had the relationship with, and now she is family, and has found work for two of the deceased wife's kids at her work. I could see how sometimes relationships change, and both partners have to move on to keep up with their soul lessons; it really is not personal, although it is painful to experience when you are the one that is being left.

I found out a cure for leg cramps is V-8 juice, Tums and ibuprofen. Many of my relatives are very active. One rode a sixty-mile bike ride earlier in the day.

But most importantly, I saw my cousins who have been in the movie industry for their entire careers, and are NOT worshipping the devil, or any of those bad things that so many of them do. They are good, decent people who love God and are perhaps a little 'more religious' than others, as far as being Christian go, but not more so than others I know who are Christian extreme worshippers.

If you are from a not-so-good family, have hope!

The family unit was selected with pre-birth contracts and agreement of everyone involved . Why? For the learning of lessons. Some are teachers, some are learners, and together it all works out. There is the karma 'payback' as well as the love that remains between after all is said and done.

Why not take a little break every now and then, talk to your heart, and find out what lessons your family has been helping your heart learn with you?

Because behind all that, is the wisdom of Source, and it is all for your Highest Good.

It's always darkest before the dawn...but soon the sun will come up, and you will see your family with bright new eyes that see!

I couldn't believe how much higher the vibration was of our group today; there was love, laughter, and sharing. People are really doing things for their health, like quit artificial sweeteners, try organic, eat less meat, or whatever 'nudges' them to do. We have come a long ways as a family, and I am excited I had the chance to see it today.

I have to be honest with you. Today I really didn't want to go. I like staying at my house and relaxing on the weekends. I didn't want to get dressed and drive to go and see people I hardly ever see.

But I checked with pendulum.

It said, GO. It is for the highest good.

So I went.

It turns out my cousin's fiancee has a daughter with terrible neurological condition. And the shunt isn't working. So the surgeon is going to try switching from a ventriculoperitoneal (head to stomach drain for CSF) to a ventriculoatrial shunt (head to heart for CSF). He'd only done two, in his career, and was really worrying her.

I explained what I had seen, and I knew it works, and it's something doable, and not to worry.

She was visibly relieved! I hadn't seen her in eight years!

That's why Spirit wanted me to go.

On Reincarnation: The Borrowed Body In The Big Picture

Yesterday at a family gathering there was a spiritual surprise: my cousin's daughter stopped by with her cousin and my uncle to drop off old driver tests to my mother who is taking her renewal examination next month.

I hadn't seen L except once or twice, and at that, only briefly.

You see, this cousin, along with his brother, and my uncle, got upset how my father's parents put together their will; the inheritance was to be divided among the LIVING children only.

My aunt predeceased her mother by around six months.

As a result I did not see those cousins ever since. The exception was my uncle and his youngest son, my cousin Kenny.

My niece is my grandmother 'come back'. My nephew is her husband, my grandfather, 'come back'. My boy is my nanu Filippo 'come back'. (One of the kindest things I did for my son is to get him into swimming lessons early--my nanu  never learned how to swim and also regretted it).

I see the 'Lessons' continuing clear as day, and although the children are not aware of it, there is a closeness and 'connection' to their 'former selves'.

But my cousin's daughter?

I was the reason she was conceived!

No I was not in the bedroom! LOL. I am a 'good luck charm'! My sister was getting married. I could not sleep at my parent's house because they have a cat. My cousin and his wife let me have their guest room. It was a kindness they did not have to do.

When people extend to me such kindness, the kind that helps me deeply in so many ways--to save face, to feel loved and welcomed, to understand and lesson a burden in my life--guess what?

They have a baby.

They had been 'trying' for a long time with no luck. She was an older bride. But that morning, when I woke up, there was a long delay before breakfast and I could hear them in their bedroom. I could feel the energy of lovemaking. It was genuine and open in that room, healthy between a man and woman who were married. I lay there in my tiny bed, hungry, patiently waiting for them to finish. And their energy was way up as we ate. I was glad to be able to shower and go to the wedding. Always the bridesmaid but never the bride…that's my life! In more ways than one might think!

It's been that way for as long as I can remember, being a 'baby charm'. LOL. The lady who hired me one summer at the car rental place had an 'oops' (Sandy was really nice, even had a cake for me on my last day, and welcomed me back 'whenever I needed work'), teachers, coworkers, my cousin and his wife, I can't remember exactly all of them but you get the picture…

L was the spitting image of my Aunt Jean. Right down to the Vibration!

I am used to working with people 'on a soul level', and I could tell, in the subconscious, Aunt Jean 'knew I knew'. This time she is going for education, in college, and aiming to be a hospital administrator…

A big 'tip off' is that the 'borrowed bodies' tend to resemble the older bodies a LOT.

Same height, same build, same facial shape…Cayce studied it too…as well as some of his modern researchers: http://reikidoc.blogspot.com/2012/09/update-research-on-reincarnation.html
This article has pictures of how they look just like they did 'the last time around'…

David Wilcock is the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce, supposedly, too. David gets his spiritual connection in the form of dreams…prophetic ones. ; )

So this is enough to get you thinking about some pretty fascinating 'stuff'…

A Message From Our Lady 8.23.2013

Yesterday was a travel day from Paris back home to California.

On the plane from CDG, I got this message from Blessed Mother, to me:

Paris 20:10, Montreal 14:40

When you arrive in Montreal have no fear what will happen. Everything happens for the best. (she holds my chin in her right hand and looks me in the eyes, and says, NEVER FORGET THIS!)

You will be well and so will (names my son). You will be cared for tenderly, from all of us in the skies. Never be afraid. Not of anyone or anything.

Your flight will connect on time. You will arrive and everything will happen in the best of reasons, places and times.

I want for you to WRITE about it. Tonight or very, very early tomorrow morning.

(She signs it her special nickname, Mom-Incess)

----------------------------------------------

We land. We deplane. We go to 'US Connections' lines in YUL--Montreal. We go through security and customs. Then to the gate. We find the Maple Leaf Lounge--I suddenly realize I don't like American food. My boy is anxious to board the new plane. We go downstairs.

I am in a white shirt with long sleeves and navy blue stripes. A mother and son who look Arabic are immediately across from the gate seated while we stand 'in line' for there is no line yet, 'to be the first on the plane'. They wear matching navy with white stripes short sleeve tee shirts, and there is a daughter who is asleep. They stare.

It turns out the boy recognizes my son. They used to be on the swim team together (we stopped around a year ago). The boy asks his mom to ask me if my son is his old friend. We are indeed! So we 'catch up' for a few minutes thousands of miles away from home.

They had spent thirty days in Lebanon to see family. Both of her parents, both of her husband's, and all of the aunts, uncles, and cousins live there. She had been up since 04:00 a.m. Lebanon time, traveled with the kids to Geneva, waited two hours, flown here, and waited for a flight to LAX. We would be on the same plane home! Her husband was going to come get them.

I asked, 'How was it being home? Was it absolutely wonderful to have the family together where all the kids could get to know their cousins and play?'

Her reply was chilling, 'It was not like that. What surprised me was that every day I was there, there was constant stress. It affected me a lot. There are political problems there, and it is felt in the way everyone lives out their life: it is always there and you think about it and you worry... I was starting to think it was time to 'get out of there' and 'go back home'.

Next thing I knew, it was time to board the plane...

...and I thought, 'What about the cousins that have to stay? The ones that don't get to come here and call it home? What about them?'.

A Doctor's Heart

As a doctor, you never feel as alone as when you have to deliver bad news.

A friend of mine couldn't sleep last night. It was because of work. It was because the life-saving procedure done as an emergency showed something terrible was the cause of the emergency.

There was a lot of herself in this patient.

So much so that this physician asked the pathologist three times, are you sure? are you sure? are you sure about this diagnosis because if I tell this family the wrong thing it is going to be really f-d up.

Who was there for this doctor who cared enough to call another doctor of this patient, from a happier time not that long ago, to come and visit them in the hospital?

Not her husband. He didn't want to listen.

Not her kids. They were too busy with Lego Rock Star Camp.

Not her parents. They are sick and live in a different time zone, and were in bed.

Only God was there for her last night in her sorrow, in her survivor guilt and her worry for her patient. Her hands, heart and quick action saved this patient from disaster. And yet the discovery of the cause made her break her patient and their family's heart. As well as her own.

Today I listened with my heart.

I actively listened, and asked questions.

I silently gave Reiki.

She was in the lounge, healing herself at the same time as waiting to begin healing another.

Women deal with stress by 'tend and befriend'.

Women need to talk.

Men who want to skip all this are missing out in a beautiful connection to another soul.

If men worked at it, they could listen.

Most men I know, Gay Boyfriend Ed excepted, are too busy taking care of number one in some elaborate plan constructed to show how wonderful and caring they are to the world, and to their partner.

Some men really miss the point.

I know the husband. He is a great guy. He's treated me, and was awesome.

I just think it's sad she has to bear this cross alone.

When is everybody going to wake up and stop the suffering in the world? Why not be reasonable? Why not today, just for today, try to bring peace and joy and harmony, and end suffering, within the four walls of your home? the four wheels of your car? and the four electric plugs of your office?

Friends and Family: You CAN Take It With You

This is a lesson I discovered while tapping deep into my Sirian 'roots' of my soul at the ocean yesterday.

For all of the 'matrix', the 'grid' and all the transformation that is currently happening within, above, below, and around us....for all the 'Illusion' there is one thing that is REAL--the love for our friends and family.

It is the close relationship ties that have an actual chance of staying 'intact' after transition, death, and separation.

It is the love which binds two hearts together that can cross both distance, time, and alternate dimensions!

This is what 'connects' the 'one that sees' to 'the One Beyond', be it loved one, angel, guide or Ascended Master.

In the pod, the bonds that tie are through the matriarch, deep in the ocean with the cetaceans--dolphins, whales, both baleen and toothed! (This also is true for elephants! Isn't it amazing how large, successful, intelligent mammals live in society like this?). They follow her wisdom, love, and guidance for survival in the ocean (and in the savannah).

Yesterday, I strengthened the tie between mother and son at the beach. While building sand castles together, I cracked jokes. With my closest ones, I have a sense of humor that is very active and I enjoy using it! One of my favorite ways to bond with another is to each try to sing as off-key as possible!

Here were were singing 'we built this city -with Rock and Roll!' and holding our stomachs we were laughing so hard! We boogie-boarded until we were worn out, counting down to the last wave...

As we showered at the top of the sand in the public spigots, he asked 'on a scale from one to ten how was your day at the beach?'

He called it a ten out of ten!

Please take the time today to build up the ties between you and those that love you. If you can, blow them away with your Light, and Love, and Laughter!  They are in your life for a reason--total Soul Contracts--they are the ones that offered to be your teachers so you can learn and grow in Spirit; even the ones who have given heartache have done so for the Highest Good (even though it hurts and I am sorry that the learning takes place that way on Gaia. This will change with the new energies, I promise!)

Today what is on tap?

The Happiest Place On Earth!

The Conditioning of Christmas

This is my story. It does not apply to anyone else, but is to serve as an example of longitudinal growth in Spirit on the topic of the 'Holiday' that is 'Happy' in the 'politically correct' circles on Gaia.

At four, I found I got to wear a pretty dress and see a fat man in a red suit people told me was Santa. I felt his energy, it wasn't loving, and at once I knew there was a 'disconnect'. But I 'went along' to please my mother, make for a nice picture, and keep the veiled threat of 'no belief no presents' in check.

My Christmases until my first marriage were far from happy. We were poor. There was resentment on the part of my parents, who did not want to go into debt. But they did, each year. Although the gifts were minimal, they still had to work harder to pay off the debts until March. My sister, who is more assertive, spoke up for what she wants. She got it. I kept my mouth shut, only writing a list when asked. There was always horror to watch her open two gifts for every one of mine. How could such favoritism exist within a family? And everyone happily saying 'we love you both so much!'.

I got excited for Christmas each year anyways. At eight and at twelve I got a bike and that was pretty great. My Aunt gave me roller skates when I was six.

Soon I learned to watch the faces as others opened my gifts. I became a great shopper and gift-selector.

Around twelve the family started going to Mass. Well, both girls and mom. Dad didn't go.. Then the 'meaning' of Christmas' started to make everything 'more substantial'. I kept going to mass with friends, even when everyone else in the family did not. There was a deep pain of 'my family is missing out on something wonderful' and shame that burned when my family was not doing 'what was right'.

My first husband's family was more traditional. We went to church together, and we also gave and got really nice gifts. His favorite from me was a London Fog raincoat. Mine was my first stethoscope. Although the gifts were great, I couldn't understand the German influence of 'one great gift all year'. Italians, of which I am half, never stop giving...

After that, I decorated my own 'Charlie Brown Tree' and enjoyed Christmas by myself. Until the second marriage, where at the end Christmas became the biggest hurt of all, a true litmus test for the pinnacles of our dysfunction as a couple (he was bipolar, and suicidal back then).

Now what am I? A mother who is 'keeping her children happy'. I decorated the yard and house because we all enjoy it. But my heart? My heart of hearts? This is what it says:

  • Why celebrate like this only one day instead of all 365? Each DAY is a spiritual GIFT!
  • Why do I need to buy a present to show someone how much I love them? The bond = $$$ + gift just doesn't 'click' with me any more.
  • If I am 'focused' on one day two weeks from today, where is my mindfulness on this moment NOW?
  • I am thankful for the 'gift' of having to work so many holidays that I can see they are 'another day'
  • I am similarly 'thankful' for the divorce that split my home, and having to 'share' the children for a holiday, never being able to relax and enjoy a single one. How hollow and empty they are, which perhaps is what they always were.
  • The gift-giving, on a corporate level, is the last-minute tax receipt frenzy for deductions.
  • The Spirit of Giving is there--in radio giveaways and all--but is still condition these powerful Light-beings experiencing Poverty to look to an outside source for assistance instead of awakening their inherent ability to manifest their biggest dreams!
  • For some, this is a time of year to sample the Spiritual Life, and perhaps they will continue throughout the year.
  • At Christmas Mass (as all masses, but more so), there are angels in the rafters above the altar worshipping God. I see them plain as day.
  • There ARE blessings at mass (or any religious event). For me, though, I think I want to just spend some time in Nature alone. Right in my back yard.
  • I give thanks and have tremendous appreciation for this school we have called Earth, for all the different levels of Spiritual Development, and at least for something like Christmas to enjoy, without the hype, but with the family and friends who are so dear to us.
  • As a single mom, who works full time, I never have time for sending Christmas cards. Know I have boxes of them, and Christmas stamps from 2007. I mean to. And every one you send touches my heart, and I am grateful.
  • Many of the singers of popular Christmas Carols are Monarch Slaves, BTW. That sure takes the fun out of it. If you want the list, go to the end of one of the links on Cobras' little red pill. One is playing now, and it gives me the creeps.

Another Day

Lately I have been noticing a trend in my heart--I am not 'getting into' holidays like I used to.  Is it my age? Have I seen enough of them? Is it that I have to go to work at the hospital during them so much? Is it the sharing of the holdiays with my ex? Perhaps. But like the moose in the above photograph, I am starting to notice that I am neck deep in advertisements for each and every holiday.  Yesterday I got the feeling that someone wants me to shop on cue.  I did not like it. Something deep inside of me said, 'no!'.

I spoke to my mom about it. She has a Russian friend who says, 'your holidays are--(insert favorite word here)! Who says you have to buy presents for everybody? All the family, the teachers, the people who help you every day want a tip...in Russia we do none of those things! We give a gift to the family: a bottle of wine, a box of cookies, and we celebrate with joy in our hearts! All of this looking for the deal-deal-deal! I will never understand your ways!'

Mom laughed. Back in Italy, the holidays were more laid back. Like her Russian friend. Mom has been saying we should go back to those days for most of my life. With the economy the way it is, it makes sense.

What does Reiki have to do with it? Well for me, I have opted out of the shopping mall and plan to give cash. Just like my grandparents. I will give business gifts and buy for the children online. I think this new idea of freedom at the holidays stems from being in touch with what I want and what I observe around me. Reiki also is needed by the world, as depression and financial over-extension lead to stress this time of year in those who are around us. Be Reiki wherever you go. Put in place the five principles daily (see box at right, 'Just for today'...).  And see! Look for yourself to see where your dollar is spent, and ultimately where it will go. Think of it as 'voting' to support places you would like to see in business. Times are tough, and I am sure it will be appreciated very much by some people who are struggling to stay afloat with their store.

Long story short--be rich in celebration, but wise in how you choose to spend your energy in time, talent and treasure. Enjoy time spent with loved ones, for they are the greatest treasure anyone can ask for. Even the not-so-easy-to-be-with ones! Who else can you mutually burn Karma together and advance as gentle souls? It was not by accident that you are related! If, on the other hand, there is abuse in the relationship, let it go. You deserve to be treated with Light, even if you have to be the one to shine it yourself. Angels are with you no matter what.

That being said, Happy Thanksgiving! Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukah! Blessed Solstice! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy Eid! Happy New Year! May the best be ahead for all of us at this wonderful time!

Intuition as the Patient

Here is my white coat and stethoscope in the call room.

Sometimes Spirit gives us a warning before we get sick. I had two. The first was an ominous, 'If you don't slow down something is going to happen to your health' during a channelling session, approximately one year ago. I had been post-call, taught a Reiki Master class, and gone to a Medium session that night. I have a guide, a Medicine one. He had been a healer in another life, and was coming through during the meeting. I love speaking with the Other Side, and can do so on my own, but I enjoy the chance to work with like-minded others. The warning wasn't very clear, so I decided to be a mother, and stop the psychic development certification activities. My son needed me at home at night when I wasn't in the hospital. I thought that would do it.

Have you ever gotten messages from Spirit like that? They are hard to understand. And I work with Spirit and I meditate daily. So don't get upset if you don't get that right when it happens to you. It is all about the dimensions. Translating down to 3D from beyond isn't always a simple fact.

The next warning was from my sister during her Reiki 1 class I was giving early April.  She was new to Reiki, and she scanned my body with her newly-attuned hands. She felt cold in my left lower quadrant of my abdomen. That is the opposite site of the appendix, which is the right lower quadrant. My c-section scar had been hurting me for years, it felt stuck but I never gave it much thought.

It wasn't until my annual exam that my doctor was concerned. This was end of April. He asked me about symptoms. It was strange, sometimes when I say things, I hear my spirit talking through me. "I am easy to take care of" I had said when I first came in. And through intuition my doctor and I both knew it wasn't true. As the exam went on, I saw there was concern. Something inside had changed, grown. He wanted an ultrasound. And I saw it on the exam, since I can read echo from my heart work, as big as a uterus, lumpy, and ugly.

I did a lot of reflection. For my own reasons, I understood why I had to go through this operation to get it right. When I was younger, I had a similar surgery, only on a different part of the body. It was my calling card to being a doctor. Deep in my heart, I knew this was my chance to do over, the last one. It also was a valuable application of my work as Reiki Doc. And much data did I get from this experience.

I have to be honest with you. A lot of my uterine fibroid was my being upset at only having one child. I wanted FIVE growing up. Like, my own basketball team! I adore children, and pets, and nurturing. Although there was an option for a hysterectomy,  I would not get rid of my uterus because I didn't want to give up hope that perhaps some other time, or place, I could get to be the mother that I am in my heart. Sometimes in my training, I have been torn: wanting to ditch the 4.0 GPA talent, move to a farm, and nurture lots of kids and ranch animals and LIFE. I knew I had a job to do. A spirit job. And I have spent my nose in a book for many, way too many years, getting to the place where I am today, to make a difference in the lives and how we do medicine.

So here were go--intuition ON! I am not holding back : )))

1) my first experience was non-verbal. It was from my surgeon. We have always eaten lunch together for years in the doctor's lounge. He knew my results. I did too. And he asked how I was. Fine. He came by later, and sat at my patio table. He set me at ease by talking about normal things. His intuition knew that I would suffer on my own in silence and not seek help. That is my way. He gently asked, 'how are you feeling?' And that let me know he knew the pain I had inside from my fibroid. My intuition told me, he really wants me to get better! That is how the true healing began.

2) something was amiss in the doctors' office, but I could not put my finger on it. Energetic mayhem. There docs are three sharing an office now. It wasn't right. It was chaotic since the last one joined up. (I since learned from some gossip from another gyno about a betrayal of her by one of the new members of the group. It explained everything I felt. But it didn't affect my doc who worked on me. But the energetic patterns were all in the place, and I picked them up.)

3) the clerks have NO CLUE how serious their job is, and how it leads to surgery for patients like myself. They are almost completely non-medical. the girls at the front have a huge opportunity to bring reiki into the patient experience and create a healthy healing environment.

4) The pre-op nurses tell the patients different things to prepare them for surgery. No jewelry! (I could tell they envied my hawaiian gold) Take a shower but don't shave your legs the night before surgery. Take two showers, one the night before, one the morning of! Don't eat anything after midnight. A little water is okay, though. You know the drill! They said to me. Actually, no, I didn't.

5) The pre-op clinic was a surprise. The paper that I read on every one of my patients, the one that guides me most through their anesthesia plan, is filled out at a counter at the laboratory. There is no pre-op clinic. I went to a fancy one at UCSF so many years ago. That has gone the way of the beta video tape and the eight-track tape. It is a shame that anesthesia does not have so much a presence any more.
these are money-saving perioperative guidelines being implemented. there are less pre-op labs, too.

6) FIVE THIRTY A.M.! You want me to check IN to the hospital at FIVE THIRTY A.M. for a seven-thirty case??? In a different building of the hospital from where surgery is? What a hassle! I made a mental note to my patients to be kinder to them when I start our day with their surgery...

7) Overhearing woman who checked in before me talk at that desk and also in pre-op holding to her nurse: that woman is really getting off on being a patient. she is going on and on about her pain. secondary gain? or what???

8) FAMILY: people who are there for you when you need a little extra love-help-attention yourself. My Crazy Uncle Dave and Cousin Stuntwoman were there for me. At five-thirty in the morning! She'd had a similar surgery herself at my age, and been back to stunts one-week post op. She gave me a stuntman's association visor and it meant the world to me that they could be there (Mom was with my boy, I worried so about him, and wanted him to have her care while I was away).

9) COWORKERS: people saw me on the schedule. Many chose to give me my space, respectfully. Many came and shared they prayed for me, and knew I would do well. They understood the seriousness of emotional impact of needing to have surgery as an operating room worker. This was healing on a very deep level.

10) PREOP: my colleague found me a pre-op nurse who lives in the area who needed to be there at five. She picked me up at four-thirty. Right at my door. And got me ready for surgery in Pre-Op Holding too. The continuity was beautiful. And the spot she picked for my i.v., right under the crease in my right elbow (I am left handed) made for a wonderful stay in the hospital. It was out of the way, and ran beautifully.

more on this tomorrow. xoxoxo
