The Happy Trails Sign For Reiki Masters

rotate this image ninety degrees counterclockwise

Many have expressed interest in The Transition Symbol.

I have held back in before because of three reasons:
  • This handout is intellectual property of my teacher Anne Reith, PhD. She allows her Reiki Masters to use her materials as long as full credit is given. www.annereith.com
  • This is a symbol for Reiki III and above, and Advanced Reiki Technique in the Western Tradition. Only Reiki Masters may attune themselves to this symbol before attuning their students. In my opinion Reiki symbols are best kept respected and not published.
  • It's my favorite symbol, and I want others to treat it with reverence and love the way I do.

Transition symbol is typically given in grave clinical situations where the prognosis is poor. I also have adapted it to childbirth. Every c-section or delivery where I am present, the newborn is given this symbol (to their Guardian Angel of course to allow for 'permission' etc.) to make the Transition IN to this world easier too.

I also give it in some of my Reiki treatments, to help at the time of death, which may be some time away. Get it once, and you are all protected!

I do it a little bit different from the way I was taught. I say, 'unconditional love' instead of 'universal love'. It just happened that way and it 'stuck'.

To help because it's got a little complicated stuff going on, later I will make a video to guide you.

Well, after many failed attempts, and delays, I made it.

I checked with Spirit very much over this. I think there needed to be a delay until today for it to be allowed on the internet.

There is special dispensation for this symbol, today, and I have given an attunement to those who wish to take it as they watch the video. For those who choose, this symbol will work. It is the intent more than anything, however, if you do ask your Reiki Teacher to attune themselves and then to attune you before you use it, it will introduce them to the symbol, and more people will be taught this than if you kept it only for you.

Please read about Reiki--even 'Reiki For Dummies' which ironically is actually a really good book, to begin your Reiki Journey if the concept is new to you.  If you have been following this blog, you are well on your way to your Healing path. <3

A Bribe For Peace LOL

This is the shower after my eight-year old boy cleaned up. He is a Reiki Master for one year now already. The symbol that he drew was the one I had 'sent' in healing 'for the day' for the first time that morning. It is a new symbol, one that 'came through' and represents 'Here and Now'. He had never seen it.

Getting an active boy to open a Peace Portal Activation as a parent takes a bribe. In this case, it is a set of Beat headphones, the new ones.  I knew he wanted it. He knew I wanted him to meditate. We fly often, and they really are necessary to fall asleep on a flight. The last one was really loud...

Why I chose to write is that the thoughts that he 'sent through' were beautifully simple and heartfelt. We sat side by side, and as we sent the Peace to Syria, Egypt, North Korea and elsewhere, he added these 'Wars' to be 'healed':

  • Poaching endangered animals
  • Whales and dolphins and sharks that are being massacred
  • Bullies at school
  • Families that 'fight'
  • Pollution (war against Gaia)
  • Disease (war against people), especially cancer like his Grandma has fought this year
  • Agribusiness that hurts animals in any way
  • 'Trees that get cut to make paper and clear land'
  • Illuminati (war on the ninety-nine percent)
  • All of our soldiers fighting everywhere on Earth--for those WARS to be won and be won at once!
It takes the eyes of a child to explain what war really is about. He's only eight, and yet I learn so much.

Now it's time to go to Target. He earned those headphones. And I bet he's going to pick the set that is blue. It's his favorite color.

Would You Like To Share A Cup Of Tea?

To my right is a cup of beautiful, red, herbal Hawaiian tea. It is warm and soothing after a long day. Would you like a cup?

Sit right down, watch your breath for a few minutes, and relax.

I am going to tell you a story. It is dedicated to Lady Isis and the lesson she has taught about intuition, and surrender to the process of creation, or 'manifesting' with Spirit in our daily lives:

This cup of tea, although Hawaiian, travelled far! I bought it at the Fairmont Empress hotel in Victoria, British Columbia last September. My boy, a new Reiki Master, and I went to visit the Empress hotel. We were staying elsewhere, but it was famous and we wanted to see what it was all about. At the corner, near a statue and before I saw the statue of a famous writer, I saw her ghost. She welcomed us and invited us to walk in the garden. My son did not see her.  For some reason we felt like going to the sixth floor. We sat in chairs and watched the view. Then the ghosts came. I have written about them already,, but what is important is that we made a vortex and helped others to the light. We set the ghosts free to return Home. There was a tea shop downstairs, and for some reason the Fairmont Kea Lani tea called to me. It went back home to L.A., and now to Hilo!

Life is like that. For all the twists and turns, it is by following our intuition that we accomplish great things.

When I had attuned my friend last March to Reiki III, I checked with the pendulum when I would return to Hawaii and see her again. It said 'six months'.

But back at work, a friend who is starting a fellowship in July and had just got married, offered two weeks in June for vacation coverage. At first I felt guilt and thought to offer it to someone else. Then something inside said, 'take it'.

I decided to go to Hawaii, and I wrote a blog post about that and how the trip fell together.

What I didn't say is that there is a Goddess conference by Lady Isis, at the same place, at the same time! It was announced AFTER I had planned my coverage. Unfortunately, my flight was on Saturday, and the conference started on Friday. So only Sunday could have worked. I exchanged numbers with one of the organizers. But my text to her was answered with a 'I will call you in the morning' with no call all day. I accepted it.

After yoga at the Buddha shack, we had two options, Ecstatic Dance or the Maku'u Farmer's Market. My friend asked me where to go? I took out the pendulum (my Chakra vial and holder from peacefullscents.com) and the answer for the Highest Good was 'Farmer's Market'.

So we went. I let go of all expectation of outcome for the Cobra conference blocks away, and accepted what was happening for the best.

At one stand, some crystals called to me. There was a beautiful clear quartz crystal ball about two inches in diameter that was perfect to use when I scry, or 'see the future'. I also was drawn to labradorite (I have a nice crystal at home), and a stone carved with the Reiki Master symbol on it. They had called it the wrong name, but I thought to buy it to keep its sacred design out of public eye.

My friend wanted Reiki Master, but I hadn't been guided to commit to the attunement. The Reiki Master symbol is complex, and I need to see it when I attune. Possibly it is a sign that she is ready?

At one point I had to use the restroom. I felt a strong 'call' to go, not a biological one. (Once at Mosun in Laguna Beach, I felt that strong call to go in, even though I didn't need to go. There was a woman with a huge cut on her leg from glass. It was bleeding everywhere and she didn't know what to do. Without gloves, I examined it, and treated it, exposing myself to AIDS and Hepatitis C. I also calmed her down, and directed her to the nearest Emergency Room at Mission Hospital South Coast down the street. She was so thankful of my being there for her she looked me up--and sent a ten dollar coffee gift card to my work.)

As I came out of the stall a woman from my Healer's group at the Irvine Cobra Conference last week recognized me! She had come to the Cobra conference here! They had sent her to buy food. We were delighted to see each other. I shared how I wanted to go. She texted and called the organizer, but no response. 'Oh well' I sighed, and we both agreed no matter what it was for the Highest Good.

Back at Pahoa, I asked my friend if she wanted Reiki Master. I had felt Spirit say 'it was right'. She said yes. I showed her the symbols, and we went to the Buddha Shack for the attunement.

Their black kitten followed me into the shack. She wanted to be attuned! I started attuning her to Reiki 1 when my friend came in. The kitty was the first animal I attuned, but she was very cooperative, and it helped to instruct my friend on how the attunement process works.

Then I attuned her for Reiki Master. It is a long one, and very complicated to do. It takes a lot out of you to do it; very strong energy flows. Over her left shoulder, looking at me, I saw Kamehameha, my Reiki Master guide. I was glad he was there. He nodded at me as I worked. It went well.

Our writer friend, Tigmonk had Sat Nam scheduled to lead at a local retreat center. I offered to watch the children so both parents could attend the event. I planned to take the children to Burger King, where they wanted.

Then the phone rang.

It was the conference. I could go to the closing from six to eight p.m.! The dad offered to watch the kids so I could go; he will go tomorrow night.

It felt so good to see Lady Isis and Cobra! And I enjoyed the other people in attendance. Some I knew, most surprising was the gentleman I had sat next to on the first day of the November conference in Laguna Beach.

One woman had to leave early to catch a flight back to California--Spirit wanted ME to fill in so that the energy of the group would have the same participants in it.

And because I had the energy attunement with Lady Isis, I was the first to participate in the event!

I expected nothing, but materials were shared with me--and the crystals I had bought were perfect for the closing activities!

One of the attendings saw the Kapuna (elders' spirits) come to see what we were doing; they were pleased. I saw some other things, too, but nothing that is pertinent to this topic.

A hula dancer in class taught us several hula dances. It was magical in every way.

Like the cup of tea, by following Guidance from accepting vacation coverage, to deciding where to go, to the timing of the flight, the activities for the day 'for the Highest Good', and letting go of the outcome, the end result was better than I dreamed!

So next time you 'have that feeling nudge you?

Listen!

You'll be glad you did.

My tea is finished. I hope you enjoyed yours too. It is pitch dark and the music of the koki frogs and crickets is one of my favorite sounds in the whole world. My son is talking in his sleep (he got that from me). The air is cool and breezy. It feels wonderful in my lungs. The only thing that could make it better is the rain...I love to fall asleep with the sound of rain falling...sweet dreams. <3

Pie In The Sky--Dream Come True!

Yesterday I had my Reiki Dream come true: I taught Reiki to my coworkers in the Operating Room.

What motivates me is to Heal the Healers. In regular anesthesia work, I am the one many doctors, nurses, and staff request when they have surgery. They ask for me. I am that good at it. They have their friends and family ask for my services too. *

Two RN's, a Surgical Technologist (who WANTS to be an RN) and her boyfriend came to Reiki 1 I taught yesterday.

Another dream, a Pie In The Sky Part 2 Dream, is for Reiki instruction to be given to children, like in a Montessori school, so they may grow up never 'forgetting' their connection to Source. My son's teacher came to Reiki 1 class too! She also confided that my boy has been teaching HER Reiki, the symbol CKR already! And when Nathan hurt his knee, my son was right on it giving Reiki on the playground. The teacher asked Nathan did it still hurt? And Nathan, after getting Reiki, said, 'No.'

Both dreams are well on the way to becoming Reality.

All five were Starseeds, I felt it. Two were Pleiadian, one very strongly so. I felt it during the attunements. Another is a Yoga Teacher and RN!

Hummingbirds kept looking in the window. They are my Totem. They represent Joy. All day long they kept coming. The students noticed it, and enjoyed it very much too. All the trees and birds singing and breezes were like Spirit giving their Blessing, just to let us know They were Present.

The same exact moment one student lay on the table for the first Reiki demonstration, we heard the sound of shattering glass upstairs. We thought perhaps the easel with the flip chart on it, the flimsy twenty-five dollar one that kept falling, broke the sliding glass door. It wasn't. It was the rice jar. It fell off the counter in the kitchen.

I was horrified. Broken glass. Spilled rice. It was a sign but I was not sure what.

I also felt oddly like Sleeping Beauty at that moment. I knew somehow I was going to get cut by the glass. Everyone helped to pick it up. I swept up the rice. We vacuumed. But when I went to pick up the cardboard six-pack holder of tiny glass bottles of coke (my son loves it, and I ration it out very sparingly) as I was trying to adjust it to keep the rice from spilling out, I felt glass on my right pinkie finger. A shard about two by three inches had slid in vertically between the cardboard handle and the bottle necks. There was no way to have seen it in advance. Calmly, I set it down and looked at the cut. About four millimeters, it looked like a paper cut.

Then it started to bleed. I bleed more than most people--I have a bleeding condition and I have to take medicine for it. It looked awful. What is this? Broken glass, spilled rice, AND blood?!?

But then I noticed:

  • we worked together like a unit to fix the spill so we could walk barefoot again in the kitchen
  • one RN is a mechanical genius--she changed the bag on the Miele vacuum cleaner, my new one, easily even though she had never seen one before.
  • everyone gave me Reiki. I could feel it from their hands. It worked. I still needed a bandage due to the bleeding, but today it is almost all the way healed.
Then to celebrate, only three could make it. We went out to our favorite vegan/raw restaurant together.

The power was out.

How odd is that?

Everything worked out for the best. It helped us grow closer together as healers, all of us, even the owners of the place. Like the broken glass, everyone worked together as a team to save valuable frozen food items. It was like a volunteer fire department!

Ah! There is a hummingbird right now taking a bath in the fountain.

Thank you Spirit.

Ghosts in Yesterday's Yoga Class

water is a metaphor for Intuition

On Friday night in the O.R., the team had 'questions' for me. First and foremost, 'Do you see any ghosts in the O.R.?' This is reasonable because many people die there. The answer was not really, just one, the mom of the charge nurse. They were shocked, in a nice way, to know that she would make the effort to come there.

On Saturday morning, in Yoga Class, everything was Light. We were laughing because YogiBill has a little 'secret': he plays Black Sabbath and other hard rock groups in yoga class. He just selects the soft and pretty cuts on those albums. I called him, 'The Yoga Heretic' and everyone thought that was funny.

Then, on second-thought, Bill added, 'We are doing yoga to Nine Inch Nails'. After the laughing subsided, he said, 'This is a very special album. It is hard to get. It is the ghost series. There are four albums and the is one of them.'

I thought about the studio. Many people love that place. And some of them must have died. I 'adjusted my antennae' and focused in.

Sure enough, there was a woman next to me, a spirit, who smiled and was doing yoga.

'Who ARE you?' I asked, surprised, with my mind.

She was someone who loved to take YogiBill's classes, had cancer, and died but 'kept coming back'. A nice lady, middle aged, not great shape, not horrible, with short curly grey hair like one who has a perm and brushes it out. Her energy was that of love and light.

I didn't tell anyone.

Instead I stretched and listened to YogiBill reading aloud, of all things, poetry in honor of the Goddess. Usually he sticks to Native American or Asian traditions when he reads aloud to us in class. I enjoyed it immensely, the chance to align more with Her.

But at the end, when YogiBill asked about my son (I have been dragging him to yoga and bribing him with trips to Disneyland so I can go to yoga on my weekends), his friend commented on how mature and calm he is for such a young age.

'Didn't I tell you? He is a Reiki Master. I attuned him at his request. He got it at age seven. You know how they 'socialize' children and take away their psychic gifts? Well, he is WIDE OPEN. He even sees ghosts. Just like I do.'

His friends' face fell, as if in deep thought. Then she said, 'This is a gift. How do you do it?'

I said, 'How do I not? It runs in the family. Grandpa, Mom, me, my son, my niece....'

I told her I saw ghosts before I told her I was a physician. This is the way Yoga Class is.  ; )  They still don't know. I like to keep it that way. All they needed to know is that I work in a hospital, and that I have work next class so I will miss it.

I shared that this class is important for me because I work with the energy. I did not disclose that during out 'Yoga OM' loudness, I had used my Karuna voice. I gave the symbols for healing of the soul, unconditional love, and psychic awareness. I also activated a Gaia Portal of the Goddess as I danced. They must have worked--because not more than twenty minutes later, my 'ghost whisperer' secret was safe with the class.

Lessons from A Child at a Vegan Restaurant

I am a dragon, and I celebrate the arrival of the Lunar Year

'I am a meat lover! I LOVE MEAT!' my tubby son says with pride. He has been spending a lot of time with Dad, obviously...so today since he was home, sick, I decided to take him to my favorite Vegan/Raw restaurant for some homemade Vietnamese noodle soup called Pho. It would open his sinuses.

It would also challenge his world view.

I extracted a promise from him in the car to be on his best behavior. 'I know the owner and I want you to make good choices, even if you don't like anything you won't have to eat it, but you have to be nice.' He agreed.

He panicked over the menu. I took it away and gave him his iPad so he could finish his movie, 'The Fabulous Mr. Fox'. He refused everything I suggested. So I ordered for him. Chocolate 'shake' with healthy, non-dairy ingredients, and Chik'n pho. When the food arrived I could tell he was dying a thousand deaths. Slowly he drank the chocolate, and after the mandatory two spoon fulls of broth, he decided not to eat.

I shared my disappointment in his choices, because 'You know how the food everywhere else you go to eat, you have to make the choices what is least bad for you? It is not like this here. Everything here is good fuel to make you strong and healthy.'

He didn't flinch. At least I had taken the iPad away so it would not get water damage. And he was listening, but trying not to let it show.

'See those people at the bar?'
'What bar?'
'That bar over there'
'Why is there a bar in a healthy restaurant?'
'It is not a BAR--bar, they serve healthy drinks. Some of those people there, and in this restaurant, may have been fighting bad diseases like Grandma is with her cancer. They come here to get healthy. And see these necklaces with the fragrance? They came from here. Chef made them.'
He was looking and listening now. I could see the wheels starting to turn in his little head.
'And even the ENERGY here is good for you, if you don't choose to eat. This is something that as a Reiki Master is would be good for you to be exposed to.'

And he relaxed. We laughed easily and often at that table!

I let him order whatever dessert he wanted. He started playing with the chopsticks and making airplane noises. He didn't have to fight the 'vegetarian-vegan-raw' label any more. He did ask what raw was. I said, 'A salad is raw. There are many things like that here.'

He excused himself to go to the restroom. 'Mom, it was a lot cleaner than I would have thought. There was not a spot or ANYTHING!'

And at the end of the meal, he asked me the most important question of them all!
'Mom? Do you think there is gum under the table?'
'I don't know! How would I know?'
'Guess!'
'Okay--yes!'
'That's right! there is yellow gum under this table. I peeked when you went to the ladies' room.'

We have a long way to go against the conditioning of this child to the Kid's Meal. Two weeks ago I discovered the bean burrito in the lunch box. Today I tried this. It is a never-ending work as a mother to   bring out the best in her kids...

Namaste,

Royal Resentment for Kapu

In this life, much has been ordinary and common. Growing up in a blue collar neighborhood, most of my friends did not share my passion to be a doctor. It was a long haul to go through all of the education. Needless to say I paid for most of it myself, and medical training I paid for it by myself totally.

My Reiki education brought me joy and enthusiasm to learn again. (I learned it as a physician). Yet there was a mystery: on attunement as a Reiki Master, my guide turned out to be...a coworker?

Yes, it was Dr. Lanai, the tall but gentle surgeon who wore the largest gloves in the O.R., a size nine. I enjoyed working with him, and I wondered how he could keep his temper in check. Even when upset (the specimen had not been taken down for study--and it was sent an hour ago) we could tell but he kept his calm and was polite. Dr. Lanai had been my chief resident on an away rotation when I was a second-year resident in general surgery. He had been at another facility. I enjoyed working with him. He joined on with the team at that hospital, with a team that somewhat took advantage of the new hires. He knew this but worked to support his family, which was large. Because I came back to a hospital where his group covered surgery, we 'met' again.

Why would my Reiki Master guide be a colleague? He was a nice colleague and had both physical and mental strength. And a good heart. A Native Hawaiian.  I figured that was enough, and I accepted it as such. I did not compare to others who got Archangels and Ascended Masters as their guides during the class.

___________________________________________________________________________

Fast forward two years later. I go to a conference in Big Island. My hotel room given has a view more of a stone structure and mountain than the ocean view I requested. The room has a darkness to it. And there is the whine of a fan from the kitchen of the restaurant across the walkway. I am so uncomfortable I ask for a new room. And I get it, I get an ocean view with the pool between me and the water! I was told that the kind of room I had in mind had been an 'Ocean Front', but this room was nice. I didn't care what happened, as long as I was away from the darkness I had felt in that other room.

Earlier I had hoped to befriend another Lightworker on this trip. We had exchanged a few emails. In my heart of hearts I wanted to know my Hawaiian Name. There was a past life there, I could tell. I wanted to know the Truth about my past life from this Kahuna on the island.

The Truth I found out was that the prospect of meeting this Lightworker was the carrot spirit had used to get me on this trip. Once there, we had a Tsunami warning with full evacuation. (Of course I did energy work for protection, and asked for protection from every Lightworker I knew, except for that ONE, of course. It worked! Mahalo!) This Lightworker wanted nothing to do with me, and I vowed never to make contact again. And I was glad, too, because he was in tight with Kamehameha. He had found his spirit, like an old man, and set him free, he said during our one and only phone call. Why on earth would anyone want to do that? I asked, surprised. He was a bloodthirsty monster! I was told by this Lightworker, 'no, he wasn't that way at all. He was thankful.'

Funny, because before I left mainland, Pele had promised to give my honor back from the disrespect of the Lightworker to me, by working with Kamehameha...

That room was in a Rockefeller built hotel. Iluminati. I did energy work as guided, and put up a vortex on the whole site, claiming it for the Light. I felt the energy 'release' from the builders. (Incidentally the shape of this building is much like a Heiau)

Since there was a 'keep out of the ocean' warning the following day,  I drove up north, towards those mountains. There was a historic landmark there, Pu'ukohola Heiau. This one has quite a story. I had on a sleeveless dress, and the sun was hot. I went into the gift shop and bought a tee shirt. I also joined the club offer they were selling. Then I went out to sketch the Heiau. As I 'sketched' I did energy work. I was interrupted by the clerk, whose name is similar to a famous cartoon mermaid, which was a sign. (I love that mermaid, and all mermaids) She told me of her amakua, Shark. She told me why we aren't allowed on the Heiau, in a nice way. I thanked her and she left.

Then I continued to do what spirit asked me to do. (It was Illuminati that asked Kamehameha to build the Heiau) Later I will add a link to my earlier blog for what I saw. For now, all you need to know is big vortex white. And also, that I 'met' Kamehameha. He was working for good in the Vortex. Big and strong, smart and royal. I could not hate him any more. I was wrong.

It was then that I learned in my Hawaiian Past Life I had been his daughter, his favorite one from his favorite wife. The resentment was from his being away so much, and the way society treated the women--there were no warriors or kahunas--it was denied women and only men could aspire to it. It was 'kapu', forbidden.

We made peace.

He helped me in Energy Work elsewhere upon the Island. There is a big golden vortex somewhere where the energy was 'stuck' and only he could unblock it. I saw him open that with all his might. This was offshore at another 'site' where I 'sketched'.

As a child, Kamehameha had a different name. It was Pai'ea, a kind of crab that lives on a near vertical cliff and is fearless. My Hawaiian name, at the time of knowing the Lightworker 'carrot', was Pili, or Au'Pili. I thought it meant 'one who sticks to you like glue'. Someone with a 'Pili left a comment on one of these blog posts. I looked it up. That one meant 'spiritual'. When I boarded the plane, I was told my Hawaiian name was 'Hoku', and 'Au'pili' was a joke to point out how annoying I had been to that Hawaiian Kahuna. Although I loved then name 'Hoku' more than anything, by itself it just did not seem enough. So I added my father's childhood name in honor of him--to make it:  Hokupai'ea.

At the visitor's center when I was on my way out from Pu'ukohola Heiau, there was a life-size mural of Kamehameha in his prime.

He looked just like Dr. Lanai...

Yoda 107: Healing with The Light

A prototype Healing Chamber

This is the last of the Yoda series, and the most important: how Light and Healing is going to move forward in our lifetime.

The medicine of the future is going to make use of Quantum mechanics, and incorporate it into the Newtonian-paradigm of healing that we have today. Surgery in itself, is very third dimensional--you image something, and remove it from the body. Then the body heals.

Let me explain what is in this picture:

the pyramid:  the science of Dr. Fred Bell (grandson of Alexander Graham Bell) came up with this design to promote healing in the space delineated by the frame.

the chalice: this is a tachyon-infused quantum device that takes advantage of a 'loophole' in the Veil technology.

the stones on the chakras: colors matching each chakra, little glass stones with a flat bottom, that are tachyon-infused. There is also one clear one between the heels.

Rob Potter put together this device. He said that twenty minutes was 'too much' and suggested we start with increments of ten minutes per person. There was a sign up list. As his duties to running the conference increased, he asked 'is there a Reiki Master in the House?'. Of course I volunteered!

It was easy, and pleasant. Nobody knew that I take care of people lying down like this every day at work! I found that my watch was not working properly while I was in the healing space. Time did not flow smoothly, there were spurts and stops, as if time was stretching. I had to make a point to stay outside and look at my watch to keep the list moving fair. On the other hand, every person inside it was amazed at how fast the time passed while they were being healed! No one seemed to cry or get emotional. But most sensed the energy flow.

There was a time where I had to leave to be at home when my ex brought back the children. I asked for a Reiki Master Volunteer, and one stepped up, taking over where I had left off. When I returned, with the seven-year-old Reiki master, we both took turns doing the healings.

It turned out that the other Reiki Master besides me and my kid, was a Divine Peace Healer as well. We were both trained by the same teacher! She approached me at the end of the conference!

When it comes to Healing, Spirit plays a part! Isn't this true in all indiginous cultures? Spirit was present with us too!

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

Reiki Flying First Class

Flying First Class, toward Ascension, is possible for all of us who have a vibration and heart center open wide enough to make the jump. It does not have to be like in Coach, or a train, or boat in steerage. It can be the very best you can imagine. All that must be done, is stay wide open, erase your 'chalkboard' at the end of the day, and as you go to sleep at night, imagine what you would like your tomorrow to have in it.

To practice, I bought myself a ticket for First Class on my trip to Hawaii. Is it possible to be wide open and full of gratitude and fly first class? In a word, YES!

My morning one week ago brought me to LAX. I like to park at the Parking Spot because their shuttles are easy to find: they have big black spots all over their yellow shuttles.

First class lets you check in with a shorter line. That felt nice.

There is a Premier waiting room. It had some food in it, nothing fancy, and coffee. What I liked was a chair, a plug to charge my electronic devices, and a lady that reminds you to go and catch your plane. There is no restroom facility, or place to sleep. It is one floor above the gates. I liked it. There was Wifi for free there too.

The chairs are not as comfy as you might think in first class. The seats are wider, and the table folds out of the arm, not the seat back. But when the guy in front of you leans back, it is miserable. And the foot rest thing did not give me any more comfort than without it in coach. Although they look comfy in first class, they aren't all that more comfortable than you are in coach. My hip hurt. The whole flight. Really bad. It usually doesn't hurt when I sit.

The food was amazing. I really enjoyed it. There was not much, but it was creative and filling. With real flatware and china. Even a little tablecloth. There was unlimited alcohol, which was not cool for some people who drank a lot but didn't get drunk. I like wine with dinner. I had a glass, and also an aperitif with dessert. Incidentally, the flight attendants are really nice, much nicer than in coach. I felt pampered, not like another mouth to feed.

Come to think of it, boarding and disembarking from the plane was nicer too. It was less crazy, and less of a fight for cubby overhead bin space.

Once you get to rental car and hotel, though, that first class 'buzz' wears off pretty quick.

On my flight home, the inter island plane first class was small. On the way there, full of screaming kid.(there is no safe place is there?) on the way to Honolulu, I got to watch the flight attendants. They write notes! What flight number is, what gate...they tack it up on the wall. Mine got her sweater out, and her bag of stuff between rapidly serving us beverages. (The Premier Club in Kona is not nice at all. Two people in it were scary. And everyone drives me nuts with the crinkly snack bag of airplane stuff and chewing loud).

As I sat in seat 1A, I saw everyone climb up the ramp. I smiled at them. With aloha. I smiled at the attendants. The lady next to me, Japanese, read a novel, never making eye contact with anyone.she spoke English briefly just fine with me. But she flies first class a lot. And the couple across the way? He must have been a basketball player. He would not fit in coach. And when he pushed his seat back all the way, the guy behind him grimaced. (Tip--if flight is less than four hours, keep seat up. If longer, check behind you first before putting seat back. And don't go all the way.)

Now here at Gate 28, there is no Premier Club Lounge! I was on the floor by a plug. A worker I asked and shared, 'I am flying first class I really wasn't expecting to sit on the floor to be by a plug' kindly showed me a seat by a plug. This is a red eye. I won't get a meal, either. Just a snack. And hopefully, sleep.

It is good together out of our comfort zones every now and then. I have flown Coach all my life. My Reiki Master son has been harping on us going First Class since day one. I found out that he is right. If I can, I would enjoy flying that way in the future. I will have to save our money to afford it, but I think it will be worthwhile for us to travel. He is going to pass me up in height by age nine, and tall people do not fit that well in coach except in bulkhead and emergency window exit rows.

So, here is a 'recipe for success' in 'imagining you are flying first class on the way to Ascension':
1) Say, 'I am God's kid!' and believe that the Universe wants the best for you. Joy is the norm!
2) Really believe it.
3) Accept what is happening 'now' as 'something you asked for and is for the best' because even if it might not look that way at first, that is what it truly is.
4) Be Here Now. Be present. Feel your feelings, Come up with a plan. Solve problems. Face Challenges. Enjoy Life.
5) Remember to Give Thanks and to Celebrate successes every day!

Ascension, Diet, and Family Mealtime

Reiki raises the vibration, which leads to healthy choices

'I am a meat eater!' my son boldly exclaimed at the table, hefting a spoon full of taco meat into his mouth with gusto.

I nodded as I put the wasabi on my sushi and lifted it to my mouth. I felt peace. Why? This was the first time I made something for him that I did not partake in myself. I couldn't. I didn't want his favorite, taco meat.

The desire not to eat meat is part of the Ascension Process. For the past six months, I have been experiencing it. But out of simple economics of feeding the family, I have had to 'keep the peace' so to speak, and make what 'everybody wants'. When it would come time to go out to dinner, it would be impossible to agree where to go. I want mexican! one would say. And my stomach would churn at the thought of yet another bean and cheese burrito, with all the fat and all the salt and nothing fresh. Let's go to Souplantation! I would counter back. Sometimes it would work, and sometimes it wouldn't.

Remember you are family first, and everyone's 'Ascension Symptoms' might be at a different 'rate' or 'degree' at the moment
honor your family by making the healthiest choices--grass-fed lean beef, organic free-range chicken, 'happy eggs' that are from hens who are not caged. Add vegetables! Last night was guacamole with onion, garlic, and tomato made fresh by me.

Trust that everyone is on the right path for them
It has been years since my Reiki Master, and it has taken me this long to get where I am. The practice of Reiki naturally raises our vibration, and leads us to make healthier choices. They are imperceptible while they are happening. But when you look back, they are significant. In this order, I got 'sleep', 'diet' and now we are working on 'exercise'--I made a pledge to go 15 minutes a day on the elliptical, no matter what. If you knew my schedule, you would see how packed it is. But now it is time.

Many people responded to a post on Facebook I had made a while back that said, 'Not everyone can go without meat, and that is okay.' This is true for a great amount of the population. There is a reason, I think, that the body has a need for it and it might have to do with the blood type. My mother is Type O, and she does not get 'full' or 'get strength' without 'a nice burger' every now and then. And she is a long-time supporter of PETA. For her health, she has to do what she has to do. I think it is in the DNA. I, on the other hand, a Type A blood, look at meat and can 'take it or leave it'. I remember how disgusting meat felt to me when I was encouraged to eat it as a child. It made me gag. Something in my DNA 'remembered'. Parents being what they are, I learned to eat it. The things that made me gag the worst were eggs, mushrooms, and dark meat on turkey.

That being said, do what is right for you and allow them to do what is right for them
Peace is a very important part of the Ascension Process. I have heard that 'All children are going to ascend, and so are their parents'. That thought gives me comfort. It also makes sense, because their little energetic systems are fresh, pure, clean, and innocent. They are the leaders of tomorrow, I think to myself. They are here to show us 'the Way'. They shall remember...

As a parent, I have noticed tension due to the natural differences in Vibration between all family members. This is to be handled with discretion and Highest Love and Acceptance of everyone's right to choose. Mealtimes are important for the family. They promote bonding, which is something that lasts across many lifetimes! Keep this in perspective. And do your best to follow the needs of YOUR body in preparation for the Ascension Process. Your body knows what to do. Take your 'inner guidance', and do not let peer pressure 'guilt' you into doing anything else.

I cooked tacos for the family and gladly ate my two rolls of sushi.  Everyone got what they wanted, and was happy to eat.

Update: Research on Reincarnation

I was in on a long case, the patient was stable, and I pulled out my July/August/September 2012 Issue of Venture Inward the magazine of the Edgar Cayce organization called A.R.E.

This article resonated with me deeply. The photos in it are uncanny. Facial features reincarnate with marked resemblance. Plus, there is actual research that has been done on children who recall past lives, give data, and it turns out to be true. Children are studied rather than adults, because they have no other way to obtain this information. They can't read and are spiritually closer to Source than adults.

Here is the link to the article:
http://media.edgarcayce.org/venture_inward/07092012/index.html

Ian Stevenson did an incredible body of work Reincarnation Cases. Here is a link to the University of Virginia Division of Perceptual Studies in the Department of Psychiatry which has carried on his work since his death in 2007:
http://www.medicine.virginia.edu/clinical/departments/psychiatry/sections/cspp/dops/home-page
It makes this phenomenon seem more 'legit', in a way, that people would study it, and record cases. There are 'affinity cases', such as Dorothy Dandridge/Halle Berry, where the reincarnated one is inexplicably drawn toward the previous life persona. There are also some where the soul splits into two incarnations at the same time! It is fascinating, from both a scientific and a metaphysical perspective.

Here is a video that illustrates how memories, emotions and even physical traumas carry over from one life to the next. Consciousness is something separate from the brain itself, and these studies lend evidence to the existence of the soul.

This weekend, Walter Semkiw and Kevin Reyerson will present Soul Connection: Reincarnation, Past Lives, and Soul Groups Reunited, September 21-23 in Virginia Beach.  Visit EdgarCayce.org/conferences or call 800-333-4499 if you are interested.

I shared this article with my mother and family over breakfast. Mom shared that all her life she has had memory of two prior lifetimes: the first as a daughter of a count, and the second of life in Egypt. The first memory she loved her dad very much, he was important, but she thinks she died young because
'the memories stop after about age ten'.  We had never had this discussion before. I know of three past lives clearly for myself. And both my mother and I suspect my oldest boy, the Reiki Master, is her father come back. We both had been incredibly close to him in Life. And when he passed, I helped him cross over to the Light. He was surprised and angry at his sudden passing. For ten years I paid for flowers to be on his grave, every week, automatically by the cemetery. He was afraid of being forgotten. Now my son, and her grandson, looks like him, and acts like him, but doesn't know this. He loves pasta, meatballs, and canned peaches just like my grandfather did. He even makes the same slurping sounds when he eats!

Mother shared with me something she had never told a soul: the moment she first lay eyes on me at birth, a flash of recognition went between us. 'I have known this one before!' she thought to herself with relief. I opened my eyes, looked into hers, and smiled moments after we met for the first time.

I hope this topic helps you find connections like it has for me.

Mediumship with Jenny Butchart

Yesterday I went to the Butchart Garden. It is a place my dental hygienist had just been when I was a girl, and had made me promise that one day I would go; the beauty of it is unsurpassed.

Last year when I visited, I enjoyed myself very much. At the end, when I sat in the bench by the fountain and pond near the parking lot, the spirit of Jenny Butchart came to me. She had some guidance for me, and was pleasant. Most of the advice was on motherhood.

Yesterday, she welcomed me and my family. She got us a table for tea, even though we did not have reservations. To my delight, my newly-Reiki Master son was picking up on her spirit too. Our information from her matched. She wanted us to go to the Bog. But there was no place to sit.  At the dazzling Ross fountain, she was right by the right hand side as you face the fountain.  My son did not hear the conversation we had through my mediumship. She gave me advice, it was personal and about how to have success in relationship. She also did not think much of my latest interest (although she guided me to send him a picture text of the sunken garden). She told me it was time to go, gave me the warmest hug, and vanished, promising to come back with a message for you.

She returned and sat in the chair opposite my bed. And in her own words, here is what she has to say:

I like my town. I made it something nice, didn't we, my husband and me?

It wasn't pleasant at the start. It was an old mining town with lots of scoundrels. I hated it at first but grew to love it. It was nature and the people who were on the island in the first place that made me want to remain.

Our challenge was to remain honest and fair in our work when there was not much competition. The ability to gouge an unfair price was always tempting.

Mr. Butchart and I used to talk about this over supper: how to make a living, what was right, and what was simply too extravagant. We spent a lot of time on this, we want people to know.

We are fair, we are courteous, we are prompt and we are environmentally proactive, to use a term you would say in your times.

That gaping hole used to bother me. I knew about the Indian Burial Grounds enough to know I should not mess with them. And I suspected our eyesore wasn't winning us any points with the local people. It was a risk for anyone who might fall in it to their death. (the edges were that high and sharp). Fencing it would have been a waste of money.

But a garden! Wasn't I clever to have come up with the idea in the first place? I have brought joy to many people with my colorful appeance with the seasons. There always is a time of change, and I always sought to show the best of it. To welcome the new that a season would bring. I also set to balance it. Through my artistry, contrast and the visual is what plays upon the heart and gently opens it. And my grandson Ian Ross' fountain! What pure genius! It is magnificent at the fountains, yes?

That is where I saw you and your son. I wanted to make a difference. That is why I chose to manifest in you: to let others know I am supervising in perpetuity what my own hand had begun. I give ideas and thoughts to my workers, only to make it the nicest that our fine garden has ever been.

It is my Heaven.mI transformed it slowly and painstakingly from the eyesore and risk it has once been. The fencest to protect the paths, and all the flowers, for less than the original fencingnI had priced (if you would count the possible injury and legal fees for any breach in the fencing purpose might have been.)

And I enjoy it. As I enjoy your hand that writes my words. I have had my say, honey. I am warm in flesh and in spirit and my heart will touch anyone that ever sets foot upon my land or kindly views a picture of it. God Bless you and thank you,

Jenny Butchart

P.S. my aura and my energetic system are refreshed from my time I spent in the Butchart Gardens. You may want to try it one day as well.

She is Catholics

This image represents the chalice and the blade, an emblem of the Goddess

Last night I heard a story of a man, who was thrown out of his bed and dashed with ice water in the middle of the night. He did his research and discovered it had happened at the same moment the Titanic started to sink. He told that story with delight for years.

The ghost tour guide knew the man who heard this tale from the one that experienced it.
The tour guide, on a different investigation, discovered that there was a man from Victoria who had died on the Titanic. He had always stayed at the same room of the hotel as the man who was drenched.

Who was this man? "I knew the man that knew the first one with the story," said the John Adams, the ghost tour guide, "he was masons. And so was the one who told the story in the first place. He was masons as well."

I asked if John was a member of Paranormal Victoria, the group Reiki Master Alicia Nickle, our other tour guide was associated with. He was not. Was he part of the other group in town? No, he said. He didn't want to take sides, as both groups got along fine. He didn't want his thirteen year business of ghost walk tours to favor one with his membership.  I had to think about that. He must be getting his paranormal experience from somewhere...he must be Masonic himself.

I am not mason. But there is a hierarchy to the organization. I will explain the only sister organization I know and am associated with, the Catholic Church.

First there are the parishioners. We are baptized and go through first communion to participate in mass. It takes confirmation to become a full member.

The lay person is given rites: baptism, communion, reconciliation, confirmation, marriage, and last rites. There is also a rite for the religious, for the priests and nuns who devote themselves to religious life.

That is where the church organization starts to get murky. Ninety nine percent of the laity and the religious are on the level. They love God, they believe in the church, and they obey and do what they are asked to do.

Somewhere deep in the church, Satan is present. I do not know where or how, but clearly molestation of youth is but one sign of the darkness of the church. At levels up, the power is more frightening. In the old country of Sicily, my grandfather knew and warned my mother as a little girl of this risk.

Online, if you look hard enough, you will find evidence to back up these fact. Cobra's little red pill is an excellent start.

This post is a apology to the masons who are like the ninety-nine percent of the Roman Catholic Church. And not to the members of high rank, I am not sure where exactly, but I understand thirty-three is not good. I let you go to your fates and to justice.

Reiki and Anesthesia in the O.R.: a Hybrid Technique

Reiki and Anesthesia in the O.R.: a Hybrid Technique

Reiki in the Operating Room:

I am a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist in Private Practice at a Local
Community Hospital.

How I came to Reiki is a story of its own, and I am not going to explain it.
For if I shared the details, it would place my location, and for my own job
security, I must write under an assumed name.

Once my attunement in Reiki One began, I felt an incredible sense of 'coming
home'. My Reiki Guide was Master Usui himself, and I was both honored and
comforted that a doctor would select a doctor to assist on this Path. My
path includes Reiki Master, and Karuna Reiki Master.

I wanted to practice as much as possible. My immediate family was not
enough. There are long stretches of boredom interrupted by moments of sheer
terror when one gives anesthesia in surgery. I would like to share  my
experiences, and give hope to both physicians and the health care field, as
well as to patients, that a new day in patient care is starting to arrive.

Due to the nature of my work, I do not have the freedom to walk around the
patient undergoing surgery and place my hands in the proper positioning. I
only have the head. But what I know about anesthesia and surgery is it is
frightening to undergo, and the aura is weak enough in those circumstances
that a Reiki treatment seems the most compassionate thing to do.

How I do it, is like this:
1) do all the anesthesia and charting and computer work that is required of
me.
2) stand at the head of the bed, and pretend to adjust something
3) open the power switch CKR.
4) scan the body as best as possible
5) ground
6) give all symbols indicated, at the crown of the head
7) scan and balance chakras
8) close and give thanks

It has to be fast, and sometimes I am interrupted. But in the spirit of
Reiki, my guides understand. It has partnership on both sides, and as the
years pass, I have come to know I can count on them to help me in my work.

What are the results? Let me say that the nurses in the Recovery Room adore
me! My patients have no nausea or vomiting, and very little pain when they
wake up. When I see my patients the next day, they share a closeness with me
I had not seen before I learned Reiki. They have a vitality that is from
Reiki. Their spirit knows, on some level, though their mind does not. I see
smiles as the patient shares their wonderment at the ease of the whole
process. And as a result, when coworkers and employees of the hospital
require surgery, they often make a special request for my services.

Only two in my work space know about my gift I give to my patients. One I
asked for permission first, if it was okay to ZAP? She agreed. She had so
little pain after her surgery, her husband, an RN himself, made her take one
Vicodin because he could not believe her lack of pain.

What I have learned, and for what I am most thankful, are the gifts from
giving Reiki from my heart:

1) my disease 'vocabulary' built up fast as I worked on so many with
terrible disease.
2) Reiki gave me another chance to help in patients with a terrible
suffering and imminent death. I love the transition symbol so much because
it allows me to do one more thing when conventional Medicine can't.
3) Reiki takes me out of the drama in childbirth, and allows me to stand
firm and allow healing into the delivery room. (I say  CKR when I start any
epidural or spinal.)
4) I have a stronger, healing presence at the bedside, everywhere I go. When
I am in a rush, I am confident that my guides will allow Reiki healing to
pass through me to my patient, through a word, a touch, or a smile on my
part.
5) I am humbled by the amount of strength I have taken in, to allow me to be
nice and be myself in the doctor-patient relationship. For example, during a
c section, I allow my charting to wait, and simply hold the patient's' hand
as the surgeons assist in the birth. It does a world of good for the new
mothers, and allows me to enjoy the miracle of birth. I give the Transition
Symbol as well, for coming into the world is just as difficult sometimes as
transitioning out of it.

I have a deep debt of gratitude to Usui, Hayashi, Takata, Rand, Laurelle,
and all of you, my Reiki brothers and sisters, for keeping the tradition
alive. The good I have been allowed to bring forth into the world of
Traditional medicine astounds me. I cry tears of joy just to think about the
impact on the lives of others when they need it most. I thank you, and I
encourage you, like the EMT and aesthetician who have shared in the Spring
Issue of Reiki News Magazine, take Reiki to work. Each and every day....for
it is a gift that is too precious to keep to yourself.
