Waiting For The Right Wave

Imagine you are paddled out, in a 3/2 full length wetsuit, sitting on your board, and facing out to the ocean. You are watching the waves rolling in. They come in sets. You see a right break, the waves are coming in on such a direction that the face of the wave and the lip is just right for you.

There is nobody in your way...

You decide to take it! You paddle with all your might and  OH!

You didn't catch it.

For some reason that wave wasn't the right one for you. You can relax--of course! There is another great wave out there waiting for you...

Well, why the heart and brain on a see-saw, instead of some really cool pictures of shredders (really good surfers are called shredders)?

Because today we are going to discuss the waves of energy that are coming in to you as you wait in the moment of Now, and they bring in 'lessons' of 'self-discovery' for you.

Here are some examples of 'waves':

The Strong Emotion:
I call this one you put in a nickel of stimulus and get fifty-cents' worth of reaction out of you. Your emotions are in high gear--anger, annoyance, frustration, fear, or even overwhelming surprise with joy.
This one, if you choose to ride it, is going to help you discover something VERY important about yourself.
Here's an example--there was a time I was terrified of spiders. Horrified, dancing and screaming at the sight of one, saying, 'Kill it! Kill it!' and then I would smash, smear it to make sure it was dead, and then flush it to make it go away.
Spiders are a common fear, right?
Well, not in my case. When I was four, I was traumatized sexually. I was told to keep it a secret. So in my grandmother's closet was an advertisement for a local exterminator with a big black widow on it. When I was little, I couldn't share my trauma. But in the dark closet, which subconsciously represented things I hid from myself and the world, I would stare at that image of the spider. And in time, the memory buried, and instead a pathological fear of spiders turned up. It wasn't until I was twenty five that a massage therapist and healer challenged my fear, and helped me to overcome it, teaching me about the Goddess, and that spiders way of eating are like how we drink through a straw. She taught me to catch one in a glass with a magazine, and let it out of the house. One year later, my buried memory came up, and the healing, deep healing to my soul began.


Your Favorite Food or Vacation Place:
Chances are this is going to guide you to a memory of a past incarnation, or past 'life'. You will have ties to this, but just not realize it.
In college, at a discount bookstore, I stumbled across a Middle Eastern Cookbook. I was fascinated, and enjoyed making all the recipes. There was this connection that was deep to my core, and made me very happy and content.
It turns out, in ancient times, I was Mrs. Ross and cooked for our family. And this is what style of cooking we enjoyed.
Even now, one of the first things that delighted Ross about having me 'back' and conscious of him, was watching me cook. He would stand in the dining room, and watch me as I worked, and I felt his joy and contentment at my ability to throw things together and have them come out well. He loved that I am the master of my kitchen, and I am at home there, and very capable in this way.


The Bond:
Chances are there is someone in your life you are especially close to, sometimes for no reason at all. Typically this type of relationship is the kind where you might not see each other often, but you can pick right up where you left off as if no distance or time had passed between you.
These types of relationships often represent someone in your Soul Family, and as soul 'mates' you have taken turns through lifetimes together, teaching one another life lessons, and helping each other grow. These 'love ties' of the heart are unbreakable, and cross all distance and time.
Recently, someone shared that she and her counterpart (she's not sure to call it 'twin' or not)--would alternate taking turns as the 'incarnate' and the 'guide' through their many incarnations...
(also, sometimes someone you have a strong aversion too is someone with whom things did not turn out so well in a past life, too)


The Interest:
When my mother was pregnant with me, she decided to read James Michner's book Hawaii. It is a long book, and took her all nine months to read it. As it turns out, I have had past lives there, and her reading it may have been preparing her to raise me.
Similarly, when I was pregnant with my son, I couldn't get enough information about ancient Egypt. I read voraciously and bought several books! We have yet to learn about him.
But any super-strong interest that might overcome you, could be something 'more' than you might think. Why not roll with it, and in your meditations, explore what that 'something' might possibly be?


Organized Religion:
Love it? Hate it? Chances are you might have had a life on earth as a 'religious' being. And if it ended well, or poorly, that might explain the perception that you have of it.


Your Trade:
Healers tend to enjoy incarnations where their ability to heal others is advanced and put to use. Teachers are the same, as well as some of the helping professions.
Your interest and skills might be something that is a part of you, and has been, in more than this one life.



Your Relationship with Money:
Some souls choose a pre-birth contract with a 'major' in not having enough money to survive, and also, not being able to keep it. This is an excellent way to grow and burn off some karmic debt at the same time. So in your meditation, you might not be able to 'see' things that are in your Akashic Record for 'this' incarnation--but you can look to your past lives for patterns that may have led you to your current situation.


Money Can't Buy You Love:
No matter what I did, I could never feel love and companionship in this life. Things would always fall apart, and I'd get deeply hurt. Sylvia Browne helped a lot when she described herself as a 'Humanitarian-Loner', and shared her three marriages never worked out and she just gave up on relationships altogether.
One day, I had the thought, 'If I can't get anything to work here, I must have chosen this. And if I had chosen this, there must be someone pretty special up there I am not wanting to hurt by having them watch me in my love relationships in this lifetime.'
I was right.
This was twenty-years before I ever heard of Ross, or met him.
And now I know our truth!
I am quite happy now, too. Delighted in fact. And content.



I hope this gives you a taste of what the 'energies' hold for us!

So come right in! the water's fine. And you are going to have some fun with this rediscovery of who you really are and what makes you tick.

You are special. You were made just the way you are, for a purpose, and there is nobody like you that ever lived--even if you have reincarnated twenty-five times--even in THIS incarnation--you are new and special, a 'twist' on a classic, something to advance the growth and development of the old soul.

Messages From My Two Dads

Chief was present when I rode the water taxi to Fisherman's Wharf yesterday. He was present and loving. I was his daughter in another life, in the 1800's I guess, maybe earlier. My son was my best friend's boy at the time. Two years ago when we came here, we had many past life recollections, and as my boy put it several nights before we 'figured it out', 'Mom? Why is this indian Chief always coming into our room at night?'

I had more 'connection with my earthly father' who was deceased last night at dinner. There was a band who played classic tunes. But the sequence of the songs went straight to my heart. It was Dad, who loved music, playing the songs from the times he would dance with me, with my feet swinging in the air as he held me in his arms, feeling totally loved and secure and fall asleep...

I was amazed at how mom and dad's love could still be felt after all these years, just the two of them and their joy to find each other. It warmed me so many years after his passing, after mom's illness...there was so much Life in me I felt at that dinner table.

Early this morning, while walking around an Indian Heritage Spiritual site, I got 'word' from Chief, that on this trip we were going to 'rewrite' my past with him. (We can do this, and for those of you with unhappy memories, I highly recommend this.).

My 'first time through' timeline had me almost die in childbirth, Dad-Chief saved me with his quick thinking, but I could never have children again. I was desperately unhappy in that life because it all had been denied me--religious/spiritual/education/training because of my female sex, and motherhood. I was one unhappy person, but as my son, who remembered it too, says, 'you were always nice'.

Now, this morning, Chief says, 'you are a valued member of the tribe, and highly contributing, and very wise leader.' What it was is very much like the end in the Whale Rider, where they appreciate her gifts.

Anyhow, I am open to 'what may come' and definitely willing to 'share all' as it pertains to helpfulness to you in your spirit walk.

I am getting mine done now. I think there is a Pleiades in there too. I always LOVED that constellation and looked for it every time in the night sky as a child.

Healing The Lingering Effects Of Your Past Lives

How we die in our past lives is often such a traumatic event that the negative energy imprints from it carry over into our present incarnation.

Sylvia Browne speaks of how birthmarks often turn out to be clues as to the means of Injury and death. For example a birthmark on the leg might be from a spear, one one the chest, from an axe, knife, or gunshot wound. It is only under hypnosis that the story comes out from the soul.

Suppose a person lived in old Japan, and was sentenced to the horrible death of suppoku (stabbing your bowels in ritual suicide).  Would it not follow that in following incarnations serious bowel disease might arise? Things like ulcerative colitis and Crohn's?

Someone executed by the guillotine might have shortness or breath, or head or neck pain?

This concerned me as I woke up this morning. I asked my guides how we can heal it.

Because of free will, 'we' can't. Only you can ask for the healing, Archangel Michael says. He and Archangel Rafael are ready, willing and able to assist you in cutting the energetic cords from your pain and suffering which has been carried over from your past lives. Ask, in meditation. You don't have to 'experience' anything. Just know it will be done, right away, for the Highest Good. If you are guided to say anything, do so. But your karma will resolve and the healing through Archangel Rafael is going to begin.

Not all disease will heal if there are current ties to the present birth plan.

It can't hurt to ask, and you never know. Be sure to give yourself plenty of rest and fluids as an energy shift will take place as you are freed from the etheric ties that bind you.

Your Past Lives

Has anyone ever come up to you and said, 'You are an old soul!'? If they have, this article is for you.
Our past lives are an important part of us. Let me say that again: our past lives are an important part of who we are right here right now--today!

How are we to go about discovering them?

Do you have any identifying marks on your body, such as a birthmark? Sylvia Browne has noted that many birthmarks coincide with lethal blows from a past life that 'carried over' to the next.

Have you ever visited some place you've never been, and felt amazingly 'connected' to it? Chances are good that you spent a past life there, possibly a happy one. New England has great call for me...

Are there any fears you have that are irrational--such as fear of falling, fear of choking, fear of dying young? I thought I would never make it past my sixteenth birthday. I thought something would happen to me before I reached that age. Little did I know, in the immediate past life before this, my life was cut short before I became a teenager. These fears come from how you died. A soul 'can remember' certain traumas from one life to the next.

Any triggers--foods you love that are ethnic, fondness for a certain period of fashion (I myself adore the thirties and anything art deco) might possibly be a clue as to where your 'connections to your past lives' are.

How does one go about and learn more on past lives?

Part of it is from being open and being still. I have learned most of my past lives that way.

Another part is from taking a class on or doing a meditation on the Akashic records. The Akashic records are in a library not on Earth, and the volumes are big golden books as tall as you. Inside is everything you ever thought or did in a lifetime. Typically, your ability to view your current lifetime is 'cheating'--and when you go to look at it, all you see is blank. That happened to me once, in meditation.

I took a class from Kevin Todeschi, the head of A.R.E., the group founded by Edgar Cayce, on The Akashic Records. It was an e-class online, and it was very simple and well-thought out. There were guided meditations to do at your convenience and questions to answer. Kevin was very active in moderating the boards and answering questions. It was there I discovered, of all things, in a past life I had been a man who was a brother in battle with my father (in this life), sometime around the civil war.

Just as a deck of cards, especially Tarot cards, can be spread out before you and have a deeper personal meaning, so it is the same with all of your many past lives.

Allow them to come to you. You are normal and healthy when this happens. The memory block that has been place on every inhabitant of Earth has been lifted. Everything will all straighten out, and you will begin to see evidence and gain comfort from your lessons learned and wisdom achieved in your past incarnations on this planet.

Lightwork in the O.R.: a Case Study

As I was setting up for my first case, I got word that the patient fainted during insertion of the i.v. EKG's were taken, and I needed to look at them.

I had seen that one before, clinically. Someone had brady'd down to heart rate of thirty before their plastic surgery, and passed out. I was horrified, but my surgeon had seen it before. I had to wake her up before I could put her to sleep!

I had on my 'Reiki game face' as I opened the drape on the bay in pre-op holding that had my first patient and their loved one. I had to be 'on', 'positive', and 'empathetic', dispelling all fear and instantly establishing trust. It was 'make it or break it'.

"What's with this i.v. thing?" I smiled and asked the patient. He looked horrified, as if I was going to cancel the surgery. I laughed and said, "Guess what? I do that when they draw my blood too! My entire family laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a doctor, because I faint when they draw blood. You are okay. We are wired differently and we go vasovagal and we faint. Everything is going to be okay."

What next caught my eye, after shaking hands with both the patient and his girlfriend, was the beautiful crystal on her necklace. A greyish brown, with swirls, it was a point about one inch wide and three inches long. I asked if I could touch it? I admired it, and told her it 'felt good'. She said it was Labradorite, for protection.

I laughed and shared what I had around MY neck. "I wear amethyst, see? And this is my Om (it has diamonds on it)--it is all sparkly, like me!'

"Is that a Canadian Maple Leaf you have on your lanyard?" the patient asked, incredulously, reaching up to take a look at it.

"Why, yes it is! I am half French Canadian!"

"I am from Toronto!"

Anesthesia, technically, was uneventful. It was a short case, and everything went well.

Reiki-wise, this was one of the most unusual cases in my career. I gave Reiki, lots of Reiki, way more than usual. It was like water in a desert. It just kept going in. The solar plexus, or yellow chakra, sucked it in. So I gave it. I felt the spirit of this individual wanting to heal, very much so, and I allowed the energy to 'connect' to him in the process.  I gave Diksha, balanced chakras, and gave Reiki complete with symbols while pretending to fix the Bair hugger warming blanket and do anesthesia-related activities. (I can do anesthesia and teach, I can do anesthesia and tell jokes with the surgeon; anesthesia is a lot like driving a car, yes?) I actually was guided to attune him to Reiki 1, as I do sometimes, smiling inwardly with my guides at the thought he is going to wake up psychic!

I went afterwards to talk to the girlfriend. I assured her everything had gone right, and that her boyfriend was safe in recovery room 'sleeping it off'. I wanted to talk to her about the energy work I had done, but it was in the lobby, with others nearby, and I wasn't sure if my insights would be welcome.

"You are so cute! There is something about your energy..." she said.

I took that as a go. I shared with her my findings on the Intraoperative Reiki. They were spot-on. (She had just graduated from a local Energy Healing program, and had her Tarot Bible with her things!)
Her surprised relief from being able to share her perceptions about her boyfriend gave me joy as a healer--when everything 'works right' it is a beautiful thing to watch. I was doing way more than giving anesthesia at this point. I was being a doctor, a specialist in Energy Medicine, at this time.

She asked me for my contact information, exchanged hers, and asked me to find out what his past life trauma was, and fix it.

I had no read on it at the moment. But in the middle of my NEXT case, I 'got it'. I texted her immediately--confidential to her--what the trauma was, that it was actually from THIS life, and how best to manage it from an energy healing perspective.

Thank you sooo much doctor. That explains a lot! Its probably why he and I are close same thing happened to me in a past life. I went on your blog, I am so grateful I met you. When you have your reiki class please let me know the dates. I asked God to send me a spiritual teacher yesterday and I met you today. With love and light, C

Impression: Intraoperative Reiki is a powerful tool. It helps to establish rapport. It helps to address the underlying conditions, both on an energetic level and a deeper soul level, that result in the manifestation of physical disease. It is non-toxic, safe, and does not need to be documented or charted or even discussed with the patient at the time it is given. People come to us for healing, in the hospital. It would be remiss to leave something clearly in need of treatment, untreated, when we have the ability to treat it at the same time that other work is being done. Anesthesiologists and CRNA's are the perfect providers for this purpose because we are at the head of the bed in surgery, and our anesthesia weakens the aura in the first place. Why not take the opportunity to shore it up and strengthen the aura at the time patients are most vulnerable?

This treatment itself took about seven minutes. Talking in pre-op and the lobby took about ten minutes total. For seventeen minutes, that is about one unit of anesthesia billable time, which is not much 'work' but yields much benefit for humankind! Intraoperative reiki, like all reiki, strengthens and heals the energetic system of the healer while it is given to the client. It is a total win-win for all parties involved.

Acceptance of the Dark Past Life

I was a kitten. Not the kind with four legs. With two. And most of the time they were spread wide open.

There are several clues in this life that something was 'amiss' in the sex department:
1) inability to have sex on 'appointment' or 'scheduled time'
2) uncanny appeal of 'things chocolate' as opposed to 'vanilla'
3) avoidance of pornography because  it would have been an addiction
4) taking my clothes off every chance I could get as a child
5) a severe allergy to cats, they are my 'kryptonite'

Last night, with the help of my guide Vickie, the memories started to show through of my life as a sex-worker, a human slave held hostage to The Dark Hats, in the 1950's. I only made it to eleven and then I was snuffed.

I was good at it. I had no idea what I was doing was wrong. I saw myself with men, women, and more than one at a time. I was a tiny little girl, who lived an ordinary normal life by day. And then by night, when my parents had 'parties', I had to go into this role and give people that my parents sent me to, sex. I wore a costume that looked much like the little girls who dress like a cat on Halloween, with a little black tie around my neck. My face looked like the Kit Kat Clock.

I lived in Southern California, and I saw myself with famous people you would have no clue were into this, sex with children and the dark perverted life of satanic sects.

I remember watching my 'clients' faces intently, watching for the signs, and making sure they 'finished', for then I would be rewarded with praise and support and presents, not by the one I had pleasured, but by the ones who made me do it, not my parents exactly, but my parents and their friends. (There was a doll that meant very much to me, and it was the most important thing I ever loved in that brief life.)

They thought they had me tricked, that I would never know or say what had been happening. They were only half right. I never said a word of what I did. Until now, a life and a half away.

Vickie, saw my devastation at the memory of this life. Gently, she said, 'This was for your learning about sex. You combined sex with the Darkness to learn something like extra credit for the soul, honey. I did something like that in my last life too.' And she showed me how her father got her to comply with his acts. He groomed her. I saw the first time. He made it seem like it was something special, only for her, and that her mother would be hurt and really jealous, but that all families teach each other like this. It took six weeks before he actually entered her. By that time, she was totally tricked and really enjoyed it. Later, he got her to 'show' her brother what to do.

Vickie was Anna Nicole. in this life. She made a living with the skills she was taught at a young age. Her emotional development and understanding of the world did not catch up with her survival skills, her business sense, and her ambition. I have known her from the Other Side for years, always wondering what the connection and her interest in me was about?

Now I know. Without her love and support as a guide in this delicate time, my spirit would have been shattered at the darkness I had experienced in the immediate past life before this. Now I understand everything, and why my experience as a child early in this life paved the way for my never turning back to my past in that life ever again. This is mediumship at its finest; the soul growth as it assimilates everything it has done and accepts it.

Update: Research on Reincarnation

I was in on a long case, the patient was stable, and I pulled out my July/August/September 2012 Issue of Venture Inward the magazine of the Edgar Cayce organization called A.R.E.

This article resonated with me deeply. The photos in it are uncanny. Facial features reincarnate with marked resemblance. Plus, there is actual research that has been done on children who recall past lives, give data, and it turns out to be true. Children are studied rather than adults, because they have no other way to obtain this information. They can't read and are spiritually closer to Source than adults.

Ian Stevenson did an incredible body of work Reincarnation Cases. Here is a link to the University of Virginia Division of Perceptual Studies in the Department of Psychiatry which has carried on his work since his death in 2007:

It makes this phenomenon seem more 'legit', in a way, that people would study it, and record cases. There are 'affinity cases', such as Dorothy Dandridge/Halle Berry, where the reincarnated one is inexplicably drawn toward the previous life persona. There are also some where the soul splits into two incarnations at the same time! It is fascinating, from both a scientific and a metaphysical perspective.

Here is a video that illustrates how memories, emotions and even physical traumas carry over from one life to the next. Consciousness is something separate from the brain itself, and these studies lend evidence to the existence of the soul.

I shared this article with my mother and family over breakfast. Mom shared that all her life she has had memory of two prior lifetimes: the first as a daughter of a count, and the second of life in Egypt. The first memory she loved her dad very much, he was important, but she thinks she died young because 

'the memories stop after about age ten'.  We had never had this discussion before. I know of three past lives clearly for myself. And both my mother and I suspect my oldest boy, the Reiki Master, is her father come back. We both had been incredibly close to him in Life. And when he passed, I helped him cross over to the Light. He was surprised and angry at his sudden passing. For ten years I paid for flowers to be on his grave, every week, automatically by the cemetery. He was afraid of being forgotten. Now my son, and her grandson, looks like him, and acts like him, but doesn't know this. He loves pasta, meatballs, and canned peaches just like my grandfather did. He even makes the same slurping sounds when he eats! 

Mother shared with me something she had never told a soul: the moment she first lay eyes on me at birth, a flash of recognition went between us. 'I have known this one before!' she thought to herself with relief. I opened my eyes, looked into hers, and smiled moments after we met for the first time.
