A Taste Of My Medicine

This is the Buddha Shack at the Japanese Garden

Everyone needs healing.
Even me.

This vacation was a broken dream of sorts; something I had hoped to happen did not. I could have spoken up and done something about it, but I was afraid, and I did not.

As a result, my 'dream' that had been 'getting me through' the last year 'died'.

Instead, I arrived with a sense that 'this is for the best'. I even recalled how one year ago I was 'close in my heart' to a completely different Lightworker, and how that 'ended for the best' on its own last October too.

There were layers and layers for my soul to heal. My room placement is as close as can be to a healing place. It is no accident I am in this part of the hotel. The view isn't great, I know it. But the healing for me is.

Chief has been working a lot to 'undo the past'. I have been okay with it. It has been happening since Saturday. My sleep is deep and restful. I wake up knowing a lot of 'work' has been done.

But at the Butchart? Jenny B came through, but we could hardly 'speak'; I was in such a dour place.

'It wasn't like this at the beginning!' she blurted out,'There was a lot of mess, a lot of negotiation on my part, and a lot of hard work as a couple to get where we are today!'

'Oh, just look around at this testament to his love for you--this is nicer than the Taj Majal!' I answered back.

She was very quiet the rest of the day. I sensed she had trouble 'connecting' to my Vibration. Mine had 'changed' since we spoke so much last year. Back then she promised me love and good fortune for my heart! I knew no matter what she loved both of us. She welcomed us to her home, where we ate lunch. But then for the first time, Robert spoke to me, 'You know, some things are just not meant to be.'

It helped. It was a truth.

But I was 'lost' as a heart as I wandered the grounds. The Japanese gardens didn't 'connect' with me as before. The boat ride, my favorite, at Tod Inlet, with the moon jellyfish, barely got a smile or me to relax.

It wasn't until the Buddha shack where I sat and chanted my mantra that I began to 'let go'. Buddha came, so did Jenny B...and then someone new 'popped in': master garden designer Isaburo Kishida.

He looked at me. I looked back, sad as ever. I am always sad to some extent. I remember Home so much, and I like it so much better back where everyone is of a vibration similar to my own. Very high Vibration. Sometimes I just 'don't get it' here.

There are no secrets in Spirit. Everyone KNOWS because we sense each other's feelings very accurately.

He didn't love me. I said, looking the Japanese master gardener straight in the eye, accusing him and all Japanese of being heartless and putting work and faith before Love.

How do you know? he asked, without skipping a beat. Before my eyes flashed my aromatherapy oil gift.

He never talks to me or shows any interest in me, he hasn't pursued any time with me at all. He stopped answering all emails. He has done nothing. That's how I know.

But how do you KNOW that is Truth!? he asked, pointedly. At once, I saw the socialization, the ability for one to care deeply and not do anything about it. How the feeling and action are not 'connected' like in Western culture. And further, how much work and devotion to beauty like his garden shows how deeply the Japanese do understand and enjoy pleasure, very very much.

He had me. He was right. As I looked to him, from his left came my One. I hadn't 'seen' him in months, in any way whatsoever. I realized in some way, he cares. He also told me his age. No matter what the future holds for either one of us, at least I know the feelings I had felt for him were returned in some way. I could go on and not be stuck.

Then the Buddha came. No visions. No prophecy. No lessons. It was Him and He was There, as Love. Not a romantic western Love. A different kind of Eastern Love energy. I meditated on that Love a long time. Then it was time to go. My son had stopped trying to find Canadian Pennies in the ponds and water in the garden, while I was pretending I didn't know him...LOL. It was cold and we went for hot chocolate at the coffee shop.

Right outside the gift shop, I 'heard' Jenny B. She had a gift for me. She wanted me to find it. She wanted me to 'buy something of Love'. I looked everywhere. The pretty heart I had seen a girl hold at the restaurant, the one that caught my eye for the patio, looked cheap. The candy looked cheap. The clothing looked like it was for grandmothers.

Then my son was in the back at the BC jade. For the last two years he bought little bears on amethyst crystals. He wanted another.

A jade buddha on the top shelf caught my eye. It cost seventy dollars, far too much for a tiny piece of  carved jade. He was smiling and the light hit him in a certain way that I felt Love energy. Instead I focused on my son. The clerk found a piece I could afford about fifty dollars. But he couldn't make up his mind. At the last minute, he said, 'Mom, I see you would like the buddha. I already have two of these at home. I will not buy any gift for myself so you can buy that one for you. I know you like it.'

Jenny B was right!

Love comes in so many shapes and sizes! And although I might have some 'thoughts' about 'what love looks like to me' and 'how love should feel' in a personal way, my lesson is that Love is far bigger than all of this.

And one day, Love is going to be Right for me.

I don't know who my Other is, if the one I think is mine actually IS. But at I know he cares.

Love is never wasted. This is such an important truth! Even when you think it is, just know in your heart, it isn't. Love is never wasted and is healing in its own way every time. Keep your heart open; it might sting and close from time to time, but open it as best you can. Life is a waste if you pass the time always protecting it.

Shivassina: Meeting My New Light Body

Today while I was meditating in Shivassina pose at the end of Yoga class, I saw a row of beings seated at a table, like at a head table of a banquet. I saw Ascended Masters I recognized, and many more I didn't . The Buddha was with me, and gestured toward my feet. I was to see my new body that is made of Light.

I was nervous and excited.

I looked at my right foot.

It looked about the same!

I scanned up my right leg, the scar on my knee was GONE! And the sensation was back where it hadbeen numb  ever since my ACL reconstruction in internship.

My left leg was the same.

As I my view came up to my stomach, I was amazed to see the c-section scar was gone! So was the laparoscopy ports too.

You are whole! Everything is inside. And it works!

You mean if I wish, I may have babies and it will work this time? (I couldn't believe the miracle!)

Buddha nodded kindly, and said yes.

My asthmatic lungs filled with air like never in my entire life! There would be no allergies or bronchitis ever again!

And my face! I have to be honest, after my pituitary surgery I never really liked it: my whole face is numb, all of the time, like you are at the dentist.

I felt my face for the first time in ages! Buddha was so delighted he gave me a kiss, and I could feel everything, just like new!

The hands were quite different. They were a little see through and they glowed whiter than white. It was as if I could see the Reiki energy flowing through them. They felt the same, though, and moved just as in Life here on Earth in the third dimension...

It was then I was officially introduced to my Twin Flame.

He looked the way he wanted to look, which was slightly different from how he appears to me now, but his vibration felt the same as I have always felt it.

We were told we were free to start our new life, however we wanted to begin with it. We were glad to be done with our assignments and have the freedom we did not have in our earlier lives before we Ascended to 5D existence.

Panicked, I asked about my boy. He would be with us, much in the same way as before when I was single, and he wouldn't have to be born a second time!

The bell rang, the tingshaw chimes to remind us it is time to 'come back' and 'wake up'.

Everything disappeared, except for the hope and joy and sense of wonder. I hope I have recorded it enough to share this joy with you.

In the Higher Dimensions, our Light Bodies are Perfect and Functioning well in completeness.

A Message From The Buddha 7.11.13

No, I wasn't at the Buddha shack--I was in the OB Anesthesia Call Room during some down time. I did my Ana Brett Kundalini Yoga Workout (the one for the hips--LOL), followed by a Reiki and chanting time.

During the chanting, Buddha appeared to me.

He took me up to a vast overlook, and said this was the Golden Age. A valley spread out before me. It was daylight, and small organic material houses dotted the plain. He encouraged me to step in to it. It smelled fresh and clean, like a fragrance in the air. And the temperature was comfortable. The soil felt normal beneath my feet.

Next thing I knew, we were in a house. It was my house. He asked me how I liked it?

It reminded me of my cottage at Kona Village, sort of thatched roof, and woven walls with normal interior. He showed me the kitchen. It was different. Very open, lots of counter top. In the middle of the counter was a device that looked like my Vitamix, but it wasn't. It was a replicator.

He was excited to show it to me. He wanted me to think of some food and have it make it. I was overwhelmed. Buddha made himself a small bowl of rice. White rice. He showed me it was good to eat, and the right temperature. There was a little black bowl that was narrow at the bottom, and white chopsticks he held in his hands.

Are you sure you are going to get nutrition out of THAT?  I asked. He said it was good for you, and filling. He started to take a few bites. It smelled like jasmine rice.

I made a baguette from my favorite Vietnamese bakery Cho Cu. The breakfast one with the egg in it. It tasted right. I was surprised.

Then he had me make meat. Some ham. There is was, a slice, just like at a French charcuterie--it would be called a 'tranch'.

Buddha looked me in the eye and said 'there is no killing in this meat'. (I understood it was like cell cultures are for us today.) It is okay to eat.

Then he had me make a Mc D burger.

It wouldn't. It didn't work. I was able to make a backyard style burger, kind of like In and Out.

The replicator won't make GMO.

I started to cry when I looked at the kitchen.

Buddha was concerned. I tried to find the words. I was sad because this meant no more cooking, no more gardening, two things that I enjoy very much. What am I supposed to do with my time?

At this point Buddha was very gentle. He explained that if these are activities we enjoy, we are allowed to follow them. Just not to make big commercial agriculture out of it. We can move on to other things we enjoy too, if we wish, or stay with the ones we know and like to experience.

I felt better about that.

The other thing that was unusual about the house is that it was like on that TV show 'Bewitched' where things 'pop in' and 'pop out'. You don't have closets exactly. When you want to use something, it shows up. And when you are finished, it goes away. Just like that. BOOM! There is no TV, no clutter, no souvenirs. Just very clean lines kind of like Swedish or Danish homes.

I saw a bedroom where we rest. We don't really need to sleep any more. It doesn't get dark unless you want to look at the night sky.

I think it is do-able, the future. I am not sure when and how we shall get from 'here' to 'there', but it is a nice place that I saw. I could live there. You probably would enjoy it as well.

A Princess Named 'Dharma'

Saturday I was in line for the Splash Mountain ride at a major theme park. In front of us was a family from Tijuana, one of the poorest places I have ever seen. There was a mother and a father, a daughter who was having a birthday (9), a son who was the same age as mine and a little 'gordito', and a young girl (7), a cousin, who was dressed in a pink princess outfit. It was her birthday too, and the button said, 'Dharma'.

I listened. That really was her name!

Let's look it up:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharma_(Buddhism)

My, wasn't that confusing?

Um...I don't get it.

I'll ask Buddha:

Dharma is a way of giving Life to what you lack, by giving back to yourself 'what is missing' by virtue of Right Action. There is no Right Action that the heart cannot replace; an open and Right heart will far surpass all the justice of Right Action, for it is the timing of the application of the Law of Right that can only be accomplished through an Open Heart.

That is it.

(he tousles my hair and says, 'I have to go back to what I was doing earlier before you asked. I am happy to answer the questions like this at any time.)

Thank you!

Anyhow, this 'Little Princess' was a cousin to the other two. She chose not to go on the ride, and at the exit point her mother came along with a brother in a stroller, and took her back.

Everyone in this family was full of joy!

They were smiling, laughing and clearly enjoying each other.

They looked healthy, well-rested, and well-nourished. The clothes were clean and colorful.

They apologized for 'not speaking English' when in actuality they spoke it very well. (I speak Spanish fluently, so we mostly communicated through that).

I have not seen energy like this in anyone from 'El Norte' in a long time. Even at psychic development conferences. Even at Cobra conference.

There people were connected to the land and to each other.

They weren't spending the night at a hotel. We asked. The drive home is only two hours away.

Dharma...what a wonderful pan-global name!

Message From The Buddha Shack

I am staying with friends in the middle of nowhere, in the part of Hawaii that is near Hilo and called 'Puna District'. There is jungle, countryside atmosphere, and ocean not too far away. Last night I went to Sat Sang by Tigmonk at a local Buddhist retreat on the ocean 'farther up the road'. Although it was beautiful and serene on the grounds, and beautifully kept, I couldn't help but recall my messages that 'came through' in a tiny little shack built for Buddha, doing yoga with anadevi and my friend, chanting and sending Reiki. Why did it happen there and not here at the Retreat? I did not understand...I walked the grounds and took photographs of this beautiful place to share later with you.

I had a ceremony myself with the large Buddha statue at the retreat before the Sat Sang. I walked up to the tall standing Buddha, took some of my Chakra high vibration aromatherapy healing oil, and gently placed it on his third eye. I sat in lotus at the stone at his feet, and activated my Goddess energy. I moved my arms as I had been taught, then sat in meditation to give thanks for all that He has done, not just for me, but for everyone. I asked humbly to represent to Him the one who made that oil, and to send images of this wonderful place to his consciousness, for I knew that he would be deeply moved to be on the grounds, if he could have been there instead of me.

_________________________________________

This morning The Buddha carried me in Spirit. My arms were around his neck, my head on his shoulder, and I was sitting in his arms. I did not understand why he held me, but I sensed he had his reason, and I did not mind at all being carried by him.

The first place he took me was a workshop. It was dark and it was lit by one light. Someone was in there. The Buddha said for me to tell him He had a message for him. I did. This person looked at me, waiting.

For some reason, the yoga DVD got loud, and caught my attention instead. We had our hands fingers laced, thumbs up, at our sternum, and did a chant to energize the ability to speak from the heart.
When it was over, The Buddha gave me the message which I delivered. The person did not like it. I gave them a Spirit Flower, pink, and was taken by the Buddha someplace else.

Then the Buddha held me and we went up high, across space and time, to a very barren grey landscape. It resembled this:

I was interested, and took it all in. I wondered why it was this way? What were the people like? Did they live on the surface or underneath like in Agartha? Why would I be brought here to a place like this?

At that thought, The Buddha, who had been carrying me, gently let me down and asked me to 'shine my light' and 'glow'. For lack of a better picture, let's just assume I looked like this:

Then, in an instant, the land looked like this:

There were beautiful people, tall and dressed in futuristic clothes, with a gentleness and light of their own. There was grass and blue sky and wonderful flowers, and a feeling of Peace across the land. It was most pleasant, and at that thought, The Buddha whisked me up in his arms and we were traveling again.

I had a sensation of going way UP. At this next place, I 'sensed' that this is where The Buddha lives.
It was very different, nothing like anything I had every experienced. The 'people' were big spheres of consciousness. Like, huge, taller than me and The Buddha. I 'felt' their 'vibe', and it was most soothing and tender and wise and calm and Loving.  Let us just say it looked like this:

I interacted with them, in a pleasant way. Each was slightly 'different' in personality from the other, and all were very advanced spiritual beings who do their work for the Light. There was respect that went both ways, which surprised me. For I am nowhere near as advanced as them! It was like a talented Einstein gently looking at the math papers of a first grader with consideration and regard for the path that these humble 'first steps' ultimately will lead.

The Message From The Buddha to each of your hearts is this:

  • Each of the three places shown is energetically the same--energy interacting with perception of our own consciousness for our growth. Each individual is at their right place for their highest good.  If one sees with the eyes, this lesson is not grasped. But with the eyes of the heart, one can see this is Truth. Never forget this.
Then he reached into his brown bag on the right side of his belt, and took out a beautiful deep purple orchid. He placed it on my left ear, gently, while looking me in the eyes with deep love and respect. I felt like this when he did it, because in Hawaiian it means I am 'taken'.

Not by The Buddha, not in that way, but it deeply touched my heart and I rejoiced.

He then reached for my black lacquer jewelry box he gave me on Sunday, and pulled a beautiful pearl out of his bag, and placed it in the box.

'Do you like it?' he asked.
I held it in awe at its glow, and said, 'Yes', never losing track of the seed of pain that caused that pearl to grow. (yesterday while snorkeling, I found an oyster shell and dove deep to get it. I placed it in my bathing suit top under my rash guard to keep it safe. Nobody knew about that but me. The Hawaiian amakua for oyster is pipi and I will look that up when I get home.) I was delighted and filled with gratitude.

I made for The Buddha a big red paper heart he could wear like a sash and the heart would brightly cover the chest. It was bright red, and very simple. He smiled and laughed at my 'childish' gift, for he knew the wisdom in my encouraging him to 'be a boy again' from time to time, and that my Love would encourage him to Play and Jump and Laugh for these things are GOOD, no matter what the level of spiritual development. He took it off, folded it carefully, stuck it in his pouch and looking at me from the side of his eyes with a sly grin, said, 'I will wear this when I am alone'.

Then it was time to go. We said goodbyes. We do not know what tomorrow will bring. Another vision? Another yoga? Tomorrow I fly to Oahu for some more 'business' in Spirit and in Light.

Until then, Aloha nui loa (I love you very much) and Huna Hou (come back soon),

Healing Is Not Pretty

Healing is not pretty. It is intimate, earthy, and sometimes even smells so bad I want to throw up. I can tell pseudomonas infection from anaerobic infection just by the familiar smell of it. I also smell my patient's breath when I intubate and extubate them. Liver breath smells like burnt tires. Diabetic breath is sickening sweet. Kidney breath is chemical. I am that close. I live with it. And I know.

Today I went into the Buddha Shack for yoga somewhat hopeful. The Buddha had promised me a 'surprise' when I last saw him yesterday. It was a beautiful morning, and I was happy to be practicing yoga with my friend and new Reiki Master, Hope.

The Buddha came in right away. During the anadevi series (today was Fat Free Yoga), there is a lot of meditation in between exercises. He handed me a lotus that had a strange quality to it: it looked both gold and white at the same time. It was big and had a stem on it. He held it between the palms of his hands. There were many petals, too many too count, rows and rows and rows of them. He slid his hands against one another, and the lotus started to spin. It was breathtaking.

He said he came here to watch me do yoga, to show he cares and to give support.

During another meditation, from a small break in the garden, a menehune came right up to me with a lei. He put it on my neck and said, 'welcome, we are glad you are here'. I knew there were many more behind him, but could not see. The flowers were small and shaped with a taper at both ends, and white. There was no fragrance. It was a single strand lei. I said, 'thank you' and he stepped back into the forest.

The work was hard. After 'the piston' exercise, we rested briefly. The Buddha offered me water in a Raku earthenware grey cup. I drank, and felt refreshed in a different way from regular water. It was Spirit Water, and I sensed it was very healing.

After some more exercises, in Spirit, he embraced me. My head was on his left shoulder, and I could just relax in his arms. I was feminine, and he was masculine, and the energies 'balanced' in harmony. He sensed that I 'needed' his strength, and was happy to 'be there' for me. I did not collapse on him, I only enjoyed the warmth and solidness of his presence.

He gestured up and I saw the beautiful night skies over Hawaii. He was showing me that there is so much more to life than these bodies, these 'busy lives we lead'. I stepped back from him, and my body became ablaze with white light. I wanted to go up to be with the stars, and briefly, I did.

Then the meditation was over and we went back to leg lifts and other fire-breath exercises.

With open hands, thumbs out, left on top of right at the heart chakra, palms up, Devi started an 'if you can feel it you can heal it' meditation.

Feel sad. I did. I thought about my entire life as a woman without relationship. What a waste of my Divine Feminine Energy. I almost cried, but I held back the tears. Hope was there, and I did not want to upset her. We breathed and let it go.

Feel fear. This is the first time I let myself feel the fear from my attack on me when I was four. I was there. I felt it. I was going to die. I was panicking and looking for my mom in spirit, for my body was being held down. I was on fire with pain and the pillow was pressing so hard on my face to cover my screams I could not breathe. (at the time I blacked out). I was in that moment of anticipating death again, in that Buddha Shack. I was crying and sobbing. And then we breathed the terror out.

Feel  anger. This one was not easy. There was a time only a few days ago where I felt so angry I could spit! Now I just looked a the situation; I saw my Divine Feminine being 'blocked' by this person, but I could not hold the anger. I saw that all three emotions were connected, and I wanted very much to heal. We then breathed it out.

I felt better.

The yoga DVD ended. It was time to chant. I sat on my heels, clasped my 'pendulum aromatherapy necklace' as my 'mala' and let go. om prim pram prom sa shani a nama ha we said over and over.

Then The Buddha arrived.

He had my present.

It was a jewelry box. Not just any jewelry box. It was a Japanese black lacquered jewelry box with a music box in it, just like my nana's. It was lined with red silk, and had many drawers. It smelled just like hers. It had the tiny designs on the top, just like hers used to have, with people and mountains and flowers...all so beautiful and delicate.

I was thrilled.

Somehow, as a child, I made the conclusion that 'you could not be a grown woman and beautiful until you had a jewelry box like this.' I never said that to anybody. I didn't even get nana's jewelry box, it went to my baby sister since I got the dining table and the china cabinet.

There is no more perfect gift after my massive healing of my wounded feminine part of me, than this gift. Somehow the Buddha knew! He said further that it was for 'spiritual jewels', and placed inside it the Blue Lotus and the White/Gold Lotus. He also showed me a bodhi seed mala he is going to send to me in the Earth plane. It has a red string. He made sure I got a good look at it so I would recognize it when it arrives in my path.

He let me know he cared about me for who I am. I found acceptance, love and support in his presence and his consciousness.

Buddha has a heart, and it found me.

He smiled, and brought his head close. He touched his third eye--brow--to mine and pressed it.

I smiled a smile of sheer delight!!

He said he would come back, every now and then, but he would always watch over me and be available when I call.

The point is that many times healing requires others. For today, it was anadevi, Hope, the Menehune, and the Buddha himself. And luck. Beautiful, magical luck to heal my deepest suffering. You see, all of it was connected--the sorrow, the fear, and the anger.

Today I let it go.

I share because I have total believe and confidence that you can heal your suffering too. Be open, and it will happen. This is KNOW.

The Buddha At The Buddha Shack

I am in Puna District, not far from Pahoa in the Hilo side of Big Island. I am at the home of friends. Behind their home, up a small winding path, is The Buddha Shack.

The husband built it of his own design. It is very much like this structure on the right in the foreground. There is a roof to keep out rain, there are bamboo rails where the red bell bar is in this photo, and a bamboo floor. Bamboo roller shades screen out the wind and act as walls. There is a beautiful three stair step in wood, and as my friend and I did yoga, I marveled at the simple beauty of our sandals on the step. It is very small, about the size of this Tibetan Bell Buddha shack above. It barely fits two mats.

The floor has a mat on it, and we put our yoga mats on top. We did a DVD for the solar plexus and the goddess. It took an hour. And then we chanted. I will give you the name of the series later--it is Kundalini and a husband/wife team make it. The husband is Devi I think.. Ana Brett and Ravi Singh--says my friend. raviana.com (she has eighteen on rotation--all yoga workouts--my friend LOL)

As we did yoga, I would 'connect' with various energies and delight in it all. It rained. Almost at the end, while we were doing meditation aloud together, I realized that the gorgeous plants that surrounded the Buddha Shack were listening to us. I recalled that the Kahuna Paulau L'au said it is important to talk to the plants. They enjoy it and we help them--said the 85 year old lady who lived in the valley where Kamehameha grew up until recently locating to Hilo side--as she SANG to her Taro plants in the movie on the plane!

Ah...I was 'listening to the forest' and the 'forest was listening to our chant'. I realized the plants near the Buddha Shack were healthier than the others elsewhere in the yard. They live on one acre, and it is lush, tropical, and green...

When we chanted om prom preem proum sa shania namaha together, after a beautiful yoga workout, I experienced the quiet of mind that is found when I chant--and then I can listen to the Divine, who talks to me.

In this joy, you can imagine my surprise when I saw The Buddha!

He is my Karuna Reiki guide, and is familiar to me. He is very kind, and once gave to me the gift of a Blue Lotus. (This was the inspiration for the Blue Lotus post, not the rest. I did not mention the Buddha's gift to me at the time, because it was between us, you understand?)

I asked him, 'Do you love me?'
He said, 'I love everyone. Of course I love you and everyone the same.'

But I pressed him further. 'But between me and you, do you love ME? Love is REAL. I love you...'

And he didn't understand.

I pushed more, as I am a 'noodge', someone who pushes someone out of their comfort zone for their own good, 'What is the use of being Enlightened if it is not shared? All of us down here, 'connect' and share 'of ourselves' with each other. That is what makes Life so very Beautiful down here...'

He did not wish to be worshipped.

I said, 'I do not wish to worship you. The Buddha they make out of you in Eastern Religion is not really you. I don't like that Buddha at all!'

He drew quiet.

Around this time, my friend and I sent Reiki. She sent it to her healing oils. I did too, but I split the flow. I also sent some to my family and friends. It struck me to send some healing to the Buddha as well!

I beamed love at him, unconditional Goddess Energy, and felt good to let the energy flow. I said, 'This is what I am talking about. We share this with each other, all of us, here on earth. It is Love. It is Light. It is Peace. All we wish is for you to share a little about what makes you YOU and who you ARE.'

I startled him.  He understood! His energy at once grew soft and bright. He was smiling! With a sly look, he winked and said he would come back with a surprise for me. Tomorrow.

We finished, my friend and me. She said the energy with me present was AMAZING and she was excited to have me share yoga and chanting with her. I confided in her what happened while I was chanting...

My friend what delighted that the Buddha Shack had a visit from Buddha himself!

I smiled and said, 'It's officially the Buddha Shack now.' : )))

Anesthetizing Buddha and Now Waking Him Up

Not long ago, I had a patient that looked like this.

Anesthesia providers look at you differently than others because we work with the mouth.

Does this patient look like you can see the uvula (little thing that hangs in the back of the throat)? Or just lots of tongue when he opens his mouth?

I looked. All I saw was a flat line between tongue and tissue in back of throat, no uvula, no arches, nada. That is Not Good.

Does this patient look like he can fit three fingers stacked up when he opens his mouth? Or three fingers under the chin if you lay them sideways?

This is how you measure if there is enough room in the mouth to fit the breathing tube in.

When the airway looks like this one on the Hotei Laughing Buddha, part of you wants to panic.

But once I begin to worry, I recall my promise I made to the Tibetan Goddess of Healing, Green Tara.
I start to think about how to get the job done, and keep the patient safe and happy, so he will think that when all is said and done it went like this:

I ask for the Glide Scope, a plastic handle device with a camera on it. It worked,  I was barely able to fit this device in, but everything went beautifully.

Now I am going to talk about how it feels to work with Green Tara.

By the way, did you know there is a beautiful Green Tara river in Siberia? Let's take a look at it for a minute:

Wow! I wonder how much fun it would be to ride in that speck of a river raft that you see about the top third of the river?

Back to Green Tara, the Medicine Tara, there are not a lot of images of her.  We will take in the energy of Kuan Yin, who is a Boddhisattva and the energy is very close.

These images were selected by what 'resonates' in my Heart Center of how I experience her energy:

this is my favorite

despite all she has to do, she still makes time to meditate and pray

This one gives a Blessing

You can feel the energy of the people's love for her in this shrine

But to me, she looks like this, the most beautiful and the closest one with Nature

So now, let us take a moment to balance this beautiful yin energy, with clean, crisp masculine energy:

can you feel the clear thinking and mental prowess?

How about this beautiful solitude and introspection?

What touched me most in researching this article, is the profound beauty and love that is transmitted through the images of the Buddhist child. The innocence, the desire to do well in the learning, and most of all, the perfectly balanced Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine Energy shines through:

Aren't they adorable, perfect, and precious in every way?

You have that Love in your heart. Right in your Heart Center. It is just as adorable, innocent, perfect, pure, and precious as these baby Buddhas and Bhodisattvas.

I know, you have cried many tears and they have been heard! They are not wasted!

And no matter what you have done to 'play the game' in this Freak Show called 'Duality', your essence, your spark of the Divine is a pure as this:

Buddha, Kuan Yin, Green Tara, and the little Ones all are learning how to work with this:

The Spiritual Power of the Awakening Soul

The tenderness in its reflection in Others

And the Source that 'makes it all work'

Times are changing. Some of these images may disturb you. Challenge yourself to see the 'spark of the Eternal' in each one:

They are not asian. They are possibly not raised Buddhist. And yet the are One with us because they want to know God. Even the ones with the western business suits of the oppressors, even the one who might come from a land where everyone eats steak for dinner...all are sincere in their desire to become more One with God.

Spirit speaks to me in Telepathy.

The information is transmitted by Thought-Pictures which contain an Emotion or Feeling to it.

I have worked with you today in 'Picture Story' to prepare you for the time when your Third Eye begins to really open up.

I worked with your Heart Centers to 'connect' you to Source, to Wonder, to Truth, to all that is Divine.

For those who have been asleep, Now is the perfect time to start waking up.

In Love and Light and Humility,
I say 'Have Peace',
and
'I will not abandon you.'

How To Tell You Are in The Higher Dimensions

I am kind of dense. Spirit has been 'nudging' me to do this post for about a week now.

It took me that long to 'get' it. And that is OKAY. One of the biggest differences out of 'Duality' or the 3D experience is that life is not 'competitive'. We all win. And there is no rush. Everything happens at the perfect time for the Highest Possible Good.

Plus--because I am writing this now, we get many pictures!

We have to go back to Eastern Buddhist Tradition to understand this concept. For we are showing 'what can be seen' to illustrate a 'Spiritual Concept'.

First I will make you laugh:

  • At yoga class a little over two weeks ago, I got fragrance oil on my wrist from YogiBill. It was called 'Blue Lotus'. Innocent of the 'double meaning', I just thought to myself, 'Pretty! Asian! Blue!' and enjoyed it.
  • In PACU there is a calendar with our heart surgeons on it right over the Pyxis where I check out my keys to the locked boxes locker and drawers (there are three sets of locks to get to an actual drug). I don't really like their images, for what they did to 'end' my cardiac anesthesia 'career'.
  • I looked up on this months' image (their faces are at the bottom of the long, thin calendar, on EVERY SINGLE MONTH... : P   ), and there was a blue flower.
  • It kind of looked like the one at the top of this page.
  • Then I started thinking--master perfumer/aromatherapist calls the stuff 'Blue Lotus', this picture looks like a blue water lily, might it be a lotus too?
  • Is Spirit trying to tell me something?
  • I looked it up.
  • The Blue Lotus has 'apomorphine' in it. It is an anesthetic drug, as far as lotuses go. The only one.
  • DUH. Okay Spirit. I 'get it'. You want me, the anesthesiologist, to write about the significance of the Lotus 'spiritual process' once I 'understand'.
So here we are.

And since a picture is worth a thousand words, and I found some really nice ones, let's begin.

Let's call this, 'Buddhist Spirituality for the White Girls at the Beach in Southern California'"

In our minds, we females who are right now busy getting a pre-tan so as not to look pale when we hit the beach in summer, Buddhist Spirituality is something like this:

Whatever. It is something worlds away and pretty to look at but has virtually nothing to do with our 'lives'.

And when you think of a lotus, well, it wasn't until yesterday that I learned there is a difference between a lotus and a water lily.  The lotus is the one that sticks up OUT of the water when it blooms. So for all these years, as spiritual as I am, with being Reiki Doc and everything, I had been admiring simple water lilies, thinking they are lotuses, and being all happy. Little did I know the art poster I have framed on the landing of the stairs has 'lotuses', the real ones, and not the water lilies. I got it 'right' without realizing it, with what I 'clicked' on Art.com. LOL

The actual lotus is revered because it does not grow in pretty manicured little ponds like above.

Its roots are bound in 'murky water' which I roughly translate to 'surfer language' as 'it's roots are bound in s-h-i-t'. Make that 'tar on the beach that is hard to scrub off like near Santa Barbara'--nasty s-h-i-t. Ick.

This is the kind of water you do NOT want to swim in. There are leeches, parasites, god-knows-what-else and you will probably require antibiotics if you have an open sore!

THAT, my friends, is 'Duality' or the 3rd dimension, 'energetically'. You can't 'see the hand in front of your face' in Spiritual terms, and everyone is doing what they can to survive. It is INBORN in the nature of the Lotus to 'rise up'. But for many years 'what is going on' you can't 'see'.

This is why you have to 'trust in the process' or, in the local vernacular, 'chill'.

Then one day, when you least expect it, everything starts making sense.
  • your 'bullshit detector' goes on hyper drive. Your aura is able to read the 'heart' and 'intent' of others everywhere you go, instantly. There is no second-guessing. Media, print, friends, coworkers, family, you intuitively 'sense' where they are coming from. And yes, you can 'smell a rat' and protect yourself.
  • your connection to Source deepens. You enjoy Nature more, and Sunshine, and you worry about your 'popularity' less.
  • It doesn't matter if he has a 'hot body' and 'he's into you' and 'what your friends will say'--it's more 'how thoughtful he is when he puts on the sunscreen and makes sure he doesn't miss a spot so your skin won't sunburn' and 'how nice it feels when he puts it on your skin'. This type of caring and Higher Dimensional personality is magnetic and brings you great joy when you find it 'on the beach'. You are like, OMG! This is AWESOME! And everything about him 'imprints' on your as the cutest, handsomest everything, EVER!
  • You share your food and things with others who don't have them, and don't think twice--even if it's the girl who is your bestie's friend that tried to steal your man.
  • The idea of a Doubled-double with fries and a shake after the beach doesn't really appeal to you any more. For some weird thing, you really want a salad.
  • You like the quiet and you are able to be by yourself. You go in the water (gasp! in your expensive bikini from Diane's!) and have a really good time in the waves instead of looking cool on the towel you have spent hours shopping for to 'match' your swimsuit and sunglasses and tan.
Does this make sense? Now that you are in a different perspective, a 'higher one', the little things don't matter so much any more.

And just like the flower, the growth, the progress, is almost imperceptible.

This is why the Buddha sits on a lotus:

This is why people show the chakras as 'spinning lotuses' for their shape and size to further their 'connection' to the 'spirit-asian-theme':

(I have a problem with the outer 'plain' lotuses, since they are in an inverted star position--that #@^* is everywhere you look. The Pantages was full of that "Mithraic symbolism", seriously, like, you know? But the other part is really great, the rainbow chakras...so I used it.)

And you will bloom like this:

And experience the Divine Union of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine! Because I am romantic and love Hawaii, like ALL surfer girls, I picture it like this:

(Even though I think ceremonies are, at times, rather 'Mithraic' overall...In my mind's eye I have a Druid 'overlay' to the ceremony ; )   )

And life improves!

You operate from your Heart Center, which is connected to Source at all times, and with this Internal Navigation you experience a lot less 'traffic' and 'roadblocks' in your everyday life.

So for now, I envision you about like this:

Somewhere in the middle, a beautiful bud full of potential and Love, waiting to Open to the Light and share your wonderful Buddha Nature with the world. And yes, all of us have it within us, from the surfers to the low riders to everyone in between.

We are One.

buddha's tears

There is a phenomenon that happens when you are close to angels, heaven, and home. It is unmistakeable and far far more important a Truth than when something 'resonates' in your heart center.
In the face of overwhelming lovingkindness, your defenses drop. Your guard that you carry around all day hits the floor. And you cry.

I experienced that out of the blue recently.

I'd like to tell you about it. That way when it happens to you, you will *know* and further, understand what has happened and why.

My cup was empty. You know that little 'cup' you have of self Love and Light that you use throughout the day? I Reiki'd myself on schedule. But I was hungry. Last night my dinner had been one see's chocolate and three handfuls of cinnamon almonds before I returned my boss's phone call, then a bowl of the cereal 'millet rice'. That was it.

I finished work early, and thought to go somewhere I had been once with a gift certificate. I work with the spouse of the owner. This colleague is a kind soul, and my comfort food all the way through medical school has been pho, a vietnamese soup with lots of basil in it. I wanted pho.

I debated whether or not to go, after all, I have my kitchen, and plenty of organic fresh produce. How can you afford not to go? my inner guidance said.

I had soup (are you okay with those chopsticks? the waiter asked. later he was surprised I put all five jalapeno slices into the soup!), and a chocolate smoothie. The food is prepared in a special way. I could feel my Vibration going UP.

Ready to face the world, I stopped off in the washroom before I left. Then I saw it. An ad. Yes, in the bathroom, there was an ad. From the chef. For PEACE aromatherapy. I 'picked up' that this guy knew what he was doing. And I laughed because of the tag line, 'makes great deodorant and bug repellent'. All that money and aromatherapy art for that?

I asked the waiter how to buy some PEACE. I thought it would be good for my mother in the hospital.
At the counter, chef himself put one drop on the carpal tunnel of my right hand. POW.

I know fragrance. I was the Princess Nose of a consumer products company fresh out of college. I can tell Miracle Botanicals has high-quality oils. This one drop was off the map. Outstanding. I asked for one for mom. Chef went to get more necklace holders in back.

That's when the Channelling and Guides started in on me. get the fairy holder for mom. get the butterfly for your sister. get the copper for yourself. get the non-copper but same design for your other sister. Ask him about Buddha's Tears. I noticed from the display that there was some serious woo at this place.

As the Chef came back, I was guided to share about my blog. I did. Thirty thousand hits. Double fist bump from chef. Ask about the tears! No-that's weird--he'll think I'm weird. Ask about the TEARS!

I let him know my day job, and my connection to owner. I pulled out a billing slip with my name all printed on it. He was like, 'you do anesthesia?' I was like, 'Ya!' I whispered  I am Karuna Reiki Master and that I do Reiki on people in the O.R.! Chef politely acted delighted. I am peanuts. He is famous! Then I shared my blog link and twitter @usui2102. He was polite and swore to keep his lips sealed on my identity. Ask about Buddha's TEARS!

So I asked. No clue. 'Google it' he said. (Ok! Ok! so I asked!--guides then got quiet).

I shared how the buddha is my Karuna Reiki guide. 'No way!' said Chef, more convincingly.

He told me to get a different blend than PEACE for me. Aphrodite. He went to give me a test, and I offered my left wrist. No. He said the pinkies, stick them in your ears, and then another drop again. I liked it. My vibration felt it settle in. As he prepared my necklace, I saw he blew on it. I know what that meant. It is a very high Spiritual training to do that.

Then after he prepared the others, he gave me a bottle of PEACE as his gift. I was overwhelmed. As we did the charges (they are not cheap, but I did not want to pay less than full price, I insisted), he took out one more. He blessed it, put it into a necklace, and put it on me.

The confusion hit. Why are you being so good to me? What did I ever do to deserve this kindness? It was sincere. It was steady. It was like Home--home home, the place where I am from but can't remember, the place where angels are normal, and Love reigns. It can be Outer Space, it can be in the clouds, it can be deep in Agartha--I don't know. All that I know is that it is not Here. And Chef knows of Home. And I miss it very much.

Chef came around the counter, and gave me a hug of support. My tears are on his shoulder.

They are the greatest gift a soul has to give, tears of joy, tears of gratitude, tears of longing for Home.

And that is the story of buddha's tears.

Buddha's Epidural

The baby wasn't tolerating labor. The midwife had to come in. The patient wanted to 'go natural'.

Medical advice was to place an epidural to avoid cesarean section. I sat at the bedside, we had a nice chat, my patient and me.  She conceded, 'I want to do whatever is safe for baby.'

I got a call half hour later to put the epidural in. There was a strange vibe in the room. I sensed it. Trouble. Energetically something is not favorable. The anxious patients are the worst because they are manifesting all KINDS of horrible complications with their flurry of horrible anxious thoughts. It is like trying to swim in river rapids upstream, energetically, when I come work with them.

The conflict is greater energetically, above and beyond the negativity of the anxious patient,  because negative energies (attachments. See Margaret Mc Cormick's work) do not like positive ones. Dark and Light repel.

As I progress towards ascension, it becomes increasingly more difficult for the procedure to have speed and ease of insertion when there are attachments present in the patient's aura. There are always speed bumps.

Think about it.  If you were a dark entity, attached to some lower chakra, imagine what a feast of energy it would be for you to have your host, a mother in childbirth, experience pain. You would have access to and incorporate high-grade pain and suffering into your energetic system. It would be so great to have such pure energy of the vibration you like best flowing into your energetic system. You are a parasite, with no energy source of your own, and you attach to a host when there is a breach in the aura of the host. You are happy there, and cause what pain you can to get by. But childbirth? That is like Thansgiving dinner on a plate with unlimited second servings! Would you want the anesthesiologist to make her comfortable? No way!

I have seen all kinds of things, from spinal headaches, to parasthesias, to catheters not going in, to the needle actually JUMPING out of position. I asked and was told by Margaret Mc Cormick it was the dark entities present in the patient that do this. So today, I was on the offensive. Even before sitting up, I started reiki. Turn on with CKR (mentally), scan, ground, SHK...sit up, position. And who was stuck in my patient's hair as I lifted it to put in the sterile bonnet for the procedure? In a silver throne with diamonds was a little jade buddha! I swear he winked at me! (Buddha ia one of my Karuna Reiki Guides).

I started with betadine prep swirls three times in CKR pattern (scrub nurses take heed!). And then it got tough. Hard technically, lots of complaining, and the usual Dark Entity crap. Totally blind insertion. But I didn't get upset. I never gave up hope. I didn't freak out over running out of local for skin, or fluid for the loss of resistance glass syringe. I calmly used air, something I hadn't done in two years! Eventually it worked. I had the strong support of an awakened RN nurse L, and together we got past the patient, the anatomy fraught with technical difficulty, and the family who watched the whole thing. I felt like I was in the hands of Source, being given a lesson on trust and faith, asking for help from Spirit like crazy through the whole episode! And with patience, Spirit guided me, through this lesson of trust and having faith.

Furthermore, this faith was transferred to the patient, with the eventual cesarean section that followed. The patient was calm, happy, and not manifesting nightmarish complications. Her negative entities, or dark entites (Only Margaret could know for sure for each patient) were quiet for the time being. Frankly, I think they were looking forward to the incision healing and my medicine wearing off down the road. This is a significant step in the care of a patient who could have been fearful and anxious the whole time. It was Reiki and the application of energetic skills that helped her to come to grips with the situation at hand in a mature, balanced way that was brought out the best in her for herself and for her infant.
