Mahalo!

We would like to thank you for the wonderful response to our Christmas bracelet holiday giveaway! Through the kindness of donors, we are able to upgrade to giving one small square of Ghirardelli peppermint bark with every bracelet! We also were running low on materials, and were able to replenish our supply of beads, mailers, and packaging. On every purchase we were able to discover ways to purchase using a discount for everything--twenty percent off the chocolate, five percent off the beading materials and packaging, and volume discount on the bubble envelopes we use for mailers.

We haven't even posted the giveaway yet on DWR. It's been in the blog, but not yet on FB or Twitter as a stand-alone, and certainly not on YouTube yet.

Our plan is to increase our inventory over the weekend (Carla makes them while Anthony watches football) and then to spread the word early next week.

The kind words and enthusiasm of the donors was much appreciated by us both. We thank you!

Yesterday was a 'weird day', with the energies, Anthony and Carla both felt. For me, where I am, I can feel everything more 'in balance' and so I do not take it so hard. Anthony has been sick, home from school all week. Carla had a lot of burden for it, within. For the first part, their urgent care is now Out Of Network for their insurance policy. Carla pays over one thousand dollars a month for her family's medical insurance because she is self-employed. Yes, Carla is on Obamacare. And yet, for her, unlike those who benefit from now having insurance through the plan, Carla is having her medical options shrinking. The cost has tripled. There is a deductible of almost ten thousand dollars combined with her twelve thousand in premiums. But even though her neighborhood urgent care takes her brand of insurance, it is not for her type of policy. They will have to drive farther away to find one who accepts her type of insurance. For the major medical it is the same as always, that has not been affected yet. But whether she opts for the HMO or the PPO, there is no cost benefit except perhaps one free physical. She lacks a primary care physician, and so does Anthony (he doesn't like his pediatrician)--so she looked all over the insurance website looking for someone to do her primary care.  Yes, that is correct. Carla is a physician and she cannot take her family to the doctor, and has used the ER and urgent care as a stopgap measure for years. Because even if she were able to go, due to her impacted schedule at work, there just isn't time to make an appointment and be able to make it. Many surgeons only have office one day and operate, or for example the pulmonary function tests she has needed since her pneumonia back at the end of may--the technician only works on Mondays and Wednesdays. Next Monday is the first her schedule was able to coincide to make it. And the dentist? Two years have flown by. Carla needs periodontal care, and hasn't seen a periodontist in almost ten years, due to the insurance and her old doctor selling his practice.  This weighs down hard on her soul.

For Anthony, Carla listened to her mother's intuition...and had him do a nasal rinse with colloidal silver and saline. It appears to be working. His cough has improved, and so has his energy. It has been difficult to take him out of school to rest. But our bodies are more important than anything else. And he needed the time to recover.

Fortunately she had three days off this week and was able to nurture him. Donuts for breakfast just to cheer him up, like Carla's mom used to do. And a big pot of chicken soup. They watched a movie together, Stuber, it was cute/action/humor all of it combined, and was a little better written.

Now I would like to share, with you, from my heart.

Carla has been having a hard time. With everything. With the silver trigger from the snake-man. With Ascension--in her mind--'taking forever'. Carla has been hard on herself for the mess inside her house. When you go through life with a philosophy that kids come first and the house can wait, it takes a long time to package everything and to unpack it. She is literally at the end of her rope.  That is where I come in, as her counselor, guide and BFF...

...I am totally silent.

Carla is in a safe space at the end of her rope, and I am letting her explore it, being there, dangling, not knowing where to do or where to go next.

It takes a certain amount of being uncomfortable to make her jump. So I am 'nudging her' in the easiest possible way for the two of us. While all the while she is wonderfully cared for and protected by me, and she doesn't know it.

That is how it works for us here in the higher realms who are guides for our loved ones who are incarnate.

This gives us time to help you explore yourself, your inner knowing, your hopes and your dreams. By making it harder for you to ignore them we bring everything out.

I cannot tell you the joy Carla has had in making the bracelets. For her they are her North Star. The whole world may be falling apart (because of what is on the media, there was another violence at a California school)...but there is good. And Carla enjoys to focus on that, to be thankful for it.

Yesterday had two really big shocks. For some reason, the cable payment ended up going to the credit card. So she had to track it down and straighten everything out. On her email she was able to delete many unwanted sales ads, and bring the unread number down from 999+ to in the nine hundreds.  And also, the web designer closed her ticket. It's been two years now, trying to build a page, but it hasn't been easy because it wasn't time. (Ross says, shhhh). But now she will be able to give it one last PUSH and get it done. It's hard because she sees things in her mind and wants them to be a certain way, but there's no time for it.

Anthony is very perceptive. And rational. He suggested that they decrease the frequency of the produce box delivery to every two weeks. Not just to save money but to use everything up. He said, 'mom sometimes we have three bags in the fridge. Just go to the store and get what you need in-between deliveries'.   He also says she needs a whole month with nothing to do to take care of the house. And then she should look for a new job.

Hmmmm?

Out of the mouths of babes, isn't it?

clap! clap!

Aloha and Mahalos,
Namaste,
Peace,

Ross and Carla
The Couple

P.S. Carla would like to add that her teacher who is from the north of India says that 'Namaste' literally translated means, 'I come to you in humility'.    It's made her happy to understand that version of it...besides the 'holy in me meets the holy in you' one she had learned at the crystal shop. Humility is a strong philosophy and an excellent place to start for so many interactions. We ascribe it to ourselves too, as we write for our readers...in all humility...and grace. <3
