The Never-Ending Rat...

Rats are opportunistic creatures, and endemic to Southern California.

Yesterday we made major headway by clearing out a pile of wood where they had been living in the yard.  It was actually our remnants from the hard wood (spotted gum! genuine Australian eucalyptus) floor we had installed in the upstairs portion of our previous residence. Together, Anthony and I pieced together a floating 'floor' just wide enough to accommodate a couch in the garage.

It was a total win-win!

The rats aren't going away. And as we live here longer in the new residence, we realize our instincts and intuition were correct. The people who leave the garage door open at night, and also, during the day, have an infestation inside the garage. We are addressing the ones who are seeking to move elsewhere in our yard.

The neighbors said they have also had two nests, both in plants on the other side of our fence where we have been having activity.

This neighborhood isn't rat-free. We had hoped it. But it isn't.

Other neighbors have had dead ones floating in their swimming pool, or their entire tomato crop eaten.

The neighbor next door says that they put out poison. And I could borrow theirs. It's very kind of him to offer. But, it's not really working if there are nests forming, is it? I didn't say that. I didn't say that the poison goes up the food chain and that everything is interconnected. I did say my preference is the snap trap so I have a confirmed kill.

The neighbors on the app Next Door are more helpful. In the general neighborhood, people talk about the problem and share ideas. One is a professional exterminator, and shared from a professional, official website.

I realize that any time you see a lot of green at the side of the road, it's prime territory for rats. It's beautiful. But these kind here will travel over three hundred feet for food and water every day. Easy.

So here's the rub...how do I enjoy a garden?

You can put cages over the food plants. Metal screen mesh. Big enough to let a bee inside, but not much more than that.  Or, you can grow things rats don't like to eat. At the last house I grew lots of hot hot peppers.  Or you just do what you want to do anyway, and do your best. You share.

This kind of mindfulness, this kind of being in tune with what is in your yard, in your neighborhood, in your community, is very important. If you look there are poison bait station boxes outside every commercial building around here. There's a reason.

What if we were to take this kind of mindfulness, and apply it to the other lower vibration forms of horrors 'out there'?  Things we want to make sure disappear once we make the leap to the higher realms? Know that these lower vibrations are opportunistic, just like the rats. They are an ever-present thing we have to factor into our life while we are incarnate. And fortunately, instead of snap traps and reducing access to food in the physical, in the spiritual we are constantly checking the energies and doing the equivalent thing...being loving in every situation...and refusing to get caught up in the latest drama. Set your sights on being eternally happy. Don't settle for anything less. Feel your happiness every day, even if it's only during meditation. Know you are from a world where horrors such as the rat infestations (or lying, cheating organizations) do not exist. Any time you see something that isn't in line with where you are from, Home in the Higher Realms, do something about it. Point to it and say 'change it'. Send it love, unconditional love and if you can't ask your angels and guides and Divine Creator to send it love for you. Borrow theirs. Use it like a big mop, a sloppy wet one. Love is the best cure there is for everything.

Be strong.

Know good things are coming.

Today already the Schumann resonance is almost totally white.

Ross is smiling and happy. He told me the title, and I filled in the rest. He told me right before my bath for work, and after I made rounds checking the traps.

Always be vigilant.

Keep your energy on the up and up.

We are very proud of you.
