It is Time for Looking Within

It is time to look within at the magnificence of your Spirit. How many are looking outside of themselves to discover Truth? It is imagined, this Lack of Truth outside the Self.

If you are in Science, do you look to it for Peace? Is your trust in the development of Technology that, once repeatable positive test results are found on the benchtop, may be scaled up and brought to the masses, thereby 'saving the world'?

If you are in Metaphysics, do you look to it for Understanding? It is a very narrow walk to walk, for, like Science, it is possible to live an entire Lifetime focused on the Mind instead of the Heart. Spirituality, in some contexts, is restrictive to Thought and to Proper Development. For example, the strict Vows of Religious, including Celibacy as in a priest or a nun, where the Soul is developed out of step with the development of the body, according to an external plan that is provided by religion that is organized. For others, such as a Mother Teresa, these Vows are the Gateway to Enlightenment itself!

One thing is clear--both of these worlds can barely talk to each other. There is a mind set, a language that is specialized, and a complete subculture within itself. It is like this for many areas of existence, almost to the laughable stereotypes in High School of Jock, Brain, Popular, Dweeb, Burnout, Druggie, and Loser. Do these groups of students 'reach out' to one another as teenage students at school? No way! When a Jock helps a Nerd, it makes the news! Someone goes against stereotype! There is comfort inside a group, whatever one you are drawn to and immerse yourself in. This applies to the social roles of child, parent, lover, elder, and friend, as well. It is 'who you are' in the context of social structure.

This comfort is False. In lowering Focus from the Mind to the Heart, all of us are the same. And also find that Love is the Solution For Everything. We are born. We die. We laugh, we grow, we have family...there is interdependence on each other in order to experience this life. In order to keep alive on this planet. Although it might seem odd at first, when you stop to think about it, you can bless the Unseen Hand of Others who have made it possible for:

  • to drive on a road that is well-maintained and clearly marked
  • to buy food instead of having to grow it, or even prepare it
  • to wear clothing that is often made by people who work in intolerable conditions
  • to have entertainment and fun--so many diversions
  • to have all of our bodily wastes removed in sanitation, so there are no more chamber pots
  • to have warm and cold water at the twist of a faucet
  • to have assistance when illness strikes (both physical and energy healing)
  • to acquire books, tools, and training for your Life Work
  • to 'connect' on the Internet across Space and Time
The list goes on. There is some Truth to the philosophy 'Everything You Need To Know You Knew in Kindergarten'. That part of you, at that age, was mostly distinguished by your Heart. Your personality is important to the whole, as is your Life Spirit (your Spark of God that is indistinguishably YOU). Everyone has one, this Spark of Light. Although some, you may point out, do unspeakable horrors in this Lifetime, that is because the person or 'entity' in their mind is Separated from their Source. They do not know the consequence of their actions; their soul is damaged in this sense. They are going to be held completely accountable for their deeds, and managed with justice and/or rehabilitation on a Galactic Scale. Do not be concerned about them. Focus on YOU and your part you contribute to all of Creation. We are linked together. Your Heart makes a Difference to all the other Hearts in the world.

Jimmy Stewart, as George Bailey, in the movie, It's a Wonderful Life, is a wonderful example of how this interdependence works in action.

It is with the Heart, that we can connect our many areas of Interest together. We can overcome the 'stereotypes' of Existence, find a common connection, and discover that Spirituality and Science are One. In their own way, each is structured in the search for the betterment of Humanity, and the decrease of Suffering.

On Socialization

"What kind of man would ask to see a baby, anyway?!" said the mother with the stroller to her mother (the grandmother) in the elevator at the mall. "I did this (gestures with hand like a karate chop into the distance) and gave him a dirty look."

Wow. The same lady who had opened the doors that were closing  by jumping across the elevator quickly was slamming some male admirer of her sleeping infant in a baby Bjorn on her chest. Quite the duality.

Today we are going to talk about what it takes to live in groups. "Live from your heart but don't forget to take your brain with you." Judgement. Only for survival, as an instinct.

What probably happened to the woman in both examples, is that her inuitive energy fields sensed something weird about the man that wanted to admire her baby. He could have been a pick-pocket, or a child molester, or a kidnapper. I doubt a sincere evolving being would have raised her warning signals. And for us, a mother and boy, two Reiki practitioners,  there was no visible or energetic discord to her bubble of safety.

Living in groups has a key thought that is a principle that determines how one interacts with others: the sense of reasonable ability to survive.  Carolyn Myss talks about this. "I will help someone to survive but not someone to surpass me." is very common thought.

I was raised poor. The common thread I heard through my childhood was, 'our parents did better than their parents. We did better than our parents. We are raising you kids to be better than us financially.'  It was the hope of Mom and Dad for us to surpass them in every way. Even to be taller than Mom, who is 4' 11" and found this to be somewhat limiting in life.

They told us most American parents do not want their kids to even be as good as them.

And in raising us the way they did, they were priming us for success. I have a good education and career. My sister I wrote about lives in a well-to-do neighborhood and is involved in a big charity as a housewife. And my other sister jets around the globe with the 'in' crowd. She has partied with Britney Spears, met LMFAO, and been to the Playboy Mansion more than once. (I could not live her life, but she surpassed my 'Playboy Club member' parents in that respect.)

Where does the Reiki part come in? Already we have talked about energy fields and auras, and how they interact. We have talked about Intent, and its use in childraising. But now, I want to add the Collective Conscousness to the mix.

We are all connected. Energetically. In the highest sense, our thought patterns are 'catchy'. Ever been to a live sports game where the crowd is the extra man on the team? Ever notice how the winning side is louder and more vibrant than the losing one? And how fast it can switch with the momentum of the game?

Mob dynamics is an animalistic herding phenomenon that is present in the human species. Take a look at the sinking of the Italian Ship recently. Witnesses who survived said that 'women and children first' went out the window. People were pushing and shoving and walking on other people's faces in order to survive. The 'get free and live' mentality spread like wildfire, and all the socialization went out the window. There was an article by Mark Steyn about how the economy and the times are basically parallel to the dynamics of that crowd on the sinking ship.

I say, not so.

If there are enough Evolved Beings and Reiki Practitioners,  they can jack up the Collective Consciousness on purpose. I do it in the O.R. every day. And in the Labor and Delivery Room. Verbally, I am like, 'you can do it!' or 'yay!' to the surgeon. Energetically, I radiate Light, Peace, Calm and Harmony. It's 'catchy' and I do not enjoy surgeons/teamplayers in the O.R. being negative and hurting patient care. There are some patients who are so negative they trigger the Collective Consciousness and case outcome by themselves. That is harder to counter. But a room full of laughing spirits helps to cut that fear the most.

Fear? Or Love? That is the concept of duality. You get to choose. Follow your heart, but be sure to take your brain with you. You can control your reaction in a given situation. Reiki training and a daily meditation practice (even praying while in the car) help support this 'muscle' in Spirit in your core that can effect everyone around you, and thus, the World.

On The Collective Consciousness

Have you ever seen the Will Farrell movie Elf?

Isn't it wonderful?

I love the part where Jovie sings, and everyone else in the crowd, even hardened New Yorkers like Buddy's dad sing too. It makes me cry it is so wonderful. And the really amazing part is I can explain it to you, what is happening, in proper terms.

"I am a rock....I am an island....and the rock feels no pain...and and island never cries" the Simon and Garfunkel song, The Boxer, is illusion. As simple as that. No one is an island.

We are not our bodies.

We are more.

Let's move up on the chakras. How many are there? For the most part, people say seven. I add a few extra, because that's what my spiritual teacher taught me. There are actually more, in some practices.

Red/Black--the root chakra. It grabs onto the earth and is involved with survival. Not sex for pleasure/love. Raw passion to procreate.

Orange--a little below the navel.  This one is the world of emotion. Love, the feelings, either good or bad, creativity. I would say that the entire Home and Garden Network is a lot about Orange. The food network, too.

Yellow--solar plexus. Personal power, mentally fit, will. My way or the highway. Ever wonder why there are so many diabetics? Because our yellow chakras are on overload around here! Way out of balance.

Green--heart chakra. Love and nurturing and all its strengths.

Pink--about three centimeters up, at the sternal notch. Love in its purest integrity, angelic harmony and Light.

Blue-throat. Everyone is talking and no one is listening? Blue is about  communication.

Indigo--pituitary. Clairvoyance. Intuition. Now we are getting to the good stuff!

White--crown. ALL THE WAY OUTSIDE THE HEAD!! Yes! That is your connection to God Source. It is YOU and you don't even know it. It is outside your body! About six centimeters up.

Silver--don't know what it's called, except silver. It is a big sparkly disco ball of light. And again, this one keeps you connected to good and higher things. This one is about five centimeters above the white one. (by the way, the white one is whiter than white, the color of Heaven)

Gold--sparkly and about five centimeters up above the silver one. Angels' color is gold. Somehow this one keeps you connected to all that higher higher stuff! I also know that it protects.

We have 'higher selves'. It's where we go when we sleep. I never realized it until know, but I am sitting in my patient's higher self while I work with them in the OR! Those top three chakras, white, silver and gold.

Well guess what? They connect. To each other. That's how things are 'catchy' metaphysically. We are all connected through the higher chakras in some way, where we are linked like a network or something, and for lack of a better term, it is called The Collective Consciousness.

Jovie, follows her heart, senses that Buddy is in real trouble, overcomes her fear of singing in public, and  uses her faith in Buddy's statement 'the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is to Sing Out Loud and Clear'. By activating The Collective Consiousness, the meter on Santa's Sleigh went up. And she saved Buddy's life, and saved Christmas.

Brave girl.
