They have made you who you are, a better person, full of experience and wisdom...

Even though you might not believe anyone remembers you, you have been missed and loved and prayed for every minute you were gone...

Even the tiniest One...

Your heart longs to return to a place of Nurturing, Warmth, Love and Compassion...

You don't have to call to say you're coming...

You already have the key in your hand. All you have to do is turn the lock with complete faith that you are welcome...

Open the door, walk in...

So glad for your return we run to embrace you...

Everything is new...

Your Service is greatly appreciated...

The time is Now for all of us to smile together, as One.

Go Ahead and Watch Me Do My Thing

I was in the O.R. on a routine case.

There was a lot of stuff going on with the patient. We were scheduled to 'fix it'.

However, I chose to take a 'look' inside the energy field of the patient to 'get at the root source' of the problem.

As the patient was stable, and I was doing Reiki, I sensed my guides urging me to take a deeper look. I had suspicion there were Dark Entities, due to the nature of the disease and where it was located.

I was given a 'Go!'. I had 'back up'.

So I called to the Dark Entity, and said, 'I know you are in there. It is time. You can either go with me, take my hand, and go to the Light.'

'Or?' I could 'hear' it ask.

'Or you can be without an energy source. This person is not going to host you any more. You know what that is like. (instant destruction).'

'Okay. I'll do it your way. What do I do?'

'Here, take my hand.' There was a gathering of my back up around me.

He came out shielding his eyes, and looking down, but grabbed my hand. I gently placed it in the hands of those waiting. He said, surprised, 'That was IT?!'. I smiled.

I also stuck my hand out again for the Minor. I had the Major already. They always come in pairs.  I handed him off to the team too. (I work with the Guides of Compassionate Healing.)

And then I 'saw' it: you know how someone is looking at you and you just look up? This happens in Spirit, too. Over between the door and the robot, I saw, feet on the ground, my Twin Flame looking at me. He was totally focused on what I had just done. I felt his energy signature, and 'saw' his image in this life, very faintly. I saw him close enough to see there was no hat, and the hands were clasped behind the back.

I got the impression that he thought what I do at work is cool.

I was like, watch if you wish, I am okay with it. I have lots of work to do though. No time to visit. I did appreciate the interest in my work--especially on Spirit side. It's fun!

Later, when I was at the bedside of another patient, a Reiki Friend of mine, giving Reiki until the case started, I blurted out, 'All this anesthesia thing is just an excuse. I like working with auras. Anesthesia lets me in to lots of them! I don't have to put up a shingle and say, My Reiki Business. I just do.'

We all laughed.

It's the truth!

'Moments of Sheer Terror'

Anesthesia is jokingly referred to by others in the O.R. as 'long stretches of boredom interrupted by moments of sheer terror'.

Would you like to know about some of those moments?

The Laryngeal Mask Airway, or LMA, is a mask that is inserted into the throat and sits on top of the glottis (opening in the windpipe where the vocal cords are).  Created by Archie Brain--I kid you not--the shape of the device was made by studying the casts made of the glottis and hypopharynx (just above the glottis) on cadavers. It is a well-known fact that a very small percentage of the population is 'different' from the majority of the population when it comes to the fit of the mask.

I have used LMA's daily since 1998, and never a problem.

Until recently. I had a patient who was terribly frightened for surgery. 'I have never had anything wrong with me!' they said, with angst. 'This is the first time in a hospital!'

I smiled inwardly. I know these types. They think because they never go to the doctor they are healthy. Giving anesthesia to someone like this is like opening Pandora's box: there are lots of undiagnosed diseases that are untreated and waiting to show up under the anesthetic for me.

For example, the ones who had 'asthma as a kid' have had some of the most dramatic cases of bronchospasm on waking up. Untreated asthma for decades sometimes does that. Treated asthma, that is recognized in the medical history, allows me to give breathing treatment in advance in the holding unit to decrease the risk of problems with a general anesthetic.

Can you imagine what it is like when you insert an LMA, it goes in fine, and it doesn't work? Your patient is apneic--this means 'not breathing'--and all that tight mask on your face before falling asleep buys me time to work with the airway while you are apneic. It stretches it from thirty seconds to about five minutes time.

At first I look at the monitor for end-tidal carbon dioxide, or CO2. No wave form. Not good. I adjust the LMA and check for end-tidal and mist in the tube. Nothing. I remove and replace the LMA. Nothing. Oxygen saturation is starting to drop. I know it can fall steeply.

I pull the LMA, insert a big green oral airway, turn the flows of oxygen up, add some inhalational agent (the propofol only works for about five minutes and I want to keep the patient asleep), and ask the nurse to squeeze the bag while I hold on to the mask and open the airway. I also ask for the Glide Scope to be brought to the room.

The nurse, is afraid. I have to coach her and calm her until my anesthesia technician comes into the room. The nurse is shaking. I see end-tidal on the monitor, and even though the sats continue to drop (this is normal, it dips before it goes up), I reassure the nurse. See? We are back to 98%! Good Job!

She hands over the bag to the anesthesia technician the moment the technician arrives. I get the Glide Scope ready, and secure the airway in under thirty seconds, with no desaturation. I use an endotracheal tube. I tell the surgeon, who is making comments the whole time, ones I don't really appreciate while I am working hard to get oxygen into somebody, that the patient is okay and everything is fine!

This is my typical 'moment of sheer terror', desaturation upon induction of anesthesia for some reason. It was first time for LMA. The patient did fine and woke up with no problem. This is bread and butter anesthesia, folks. This type of thing doesn't happen every day, but when it does, my reflexes automatically get to work and I know what to do. I just do it.

A highly different kind of moment of sheer terror happened for the first time recently on a patient who one may call a 'train wreck': multiple organ systems diseased with serious ramifications. This one had the vibe, as I call it. Every cell of me experiences dread at the thought of having to work on their case.

The vibe is almost always caused by the presence of dark negative entities in the patient. I can feel it through the computer, and sense it in the nurse that is giving me report.

In this situation, I accept my assignment, and do the best I can. This time it was a direct admit from ICU into a new O.R. I hadn't set up yet. Scant time to evaluate the patient, even less to clean and set up for the case. I did have my new clean meds drawn up and labeled in their syringes, though. I had prepared ahead during the case before.

This patient had the ability to be violent towards caregivers. It was documented in the medical record. This patient was heavily sedated by the ICU nurse. You had to wake them up to get them to talk to you as you examined them.

Induction was surreal. The sedation was useless when the face mask was applied to the face for pre-oxygenation. The patient got agitated, and demanded nasal cannula. That is not enough for getting oxygen in before surgery. We compromised with the mask being 'right over the face'.

This is a technical problem that I have to deal with every day. Room air is twenty-one percent oxygen. Safe pre-oxygenation requires one hundred percent oxygen. That is why the mask is fit tight. In a patient who has obstructive sleep apnea, this is crucial, and non negotiable. That is, if they are not going to hit you. If they are agitated, you back off, and hope you can secure the airway quick.

Glide scope was in the room, and ready. I only use this equipment on people with sleep apnea or difficult airways.

But guess what? During the induction--that is where I give the big dose of Propofol and also paralyzing agent--while I am watching the pulse ox reading of oxygen saturation like a tiger stalking their prey, it stops! All of the other waveforms are fine. The patient is apneic, I have thirty seconds or less, and I can't see how my oxygen in the blood is?! Quickly I scan the lines to the monitor: the little sticky probe had fallen off the finger right at that instant! We got the finger clip on, adjusted it, and IT would not read, either!

I redid the connections checked the main connection to the monitor, and it got it to work. All of this was in twenty seconds. Sats were dropping but not rapidly yet.

In the next ten seconds I got in the tube. Just in time. There were no desaturations. I secured the tube, and coordinated turning the table with the head away from me as required for the case. There are a lot of lines and wires to watch, most importantly the connections to the ventilator and breathing tube. Sometimes even the O.R. table gets hung up on the cables on the floor. I had to ask the nurse to unlock the bed because she had locked it on top of my EKG cable. It's annoying, but do-able, having to turn the table. I have my system and it always works for me.

It was just after this rush, when the case was settling in, that I did Reiki.

Remember, there are dark negative entities in this patient. They were having fun with me on induction, trying to make me stress.

(Even before I learned Reiki, I had the reputation of being the most 'Zen' of all the anesthesiologists in residency. Cardiac anesthesiologists are calm in all situations. Even my fellowship program director hired me because of my ability to stay calm when he 'fired a few cannons at me' during the interview. This skill is needed when bad things are happening and the surgeon is yelling at you while you are trying to save the patient. In a word, it is FOCUS in the face of overwhelming risk to your patient.)

I got in to the aura, and chicken that I am, called for my guides, the Guides of Compassionate Healing, to help. I make the connection, and they or Archangel Michael if it's really scary, go in and clear out the dark entities for me.

Not this time.

Go in. You talk to THEM.

Are you sure? Is it safe?

Yes.

So I was like, 'Hello? Um...this is your chance to go to the Light! No questions asked! If you don't you might get taken to get vaporized in the Galactic Central Sun!' and trying to make my Spirit voice all cheery and positive. 'Times are changing, and it is okay to come out. Here, take my hand.'

I offered both of them, and was not sure what these Dark Entities were going to do with me.

They seemed tired, defeated, and given up the fight. They made poor eye contact and came forward. They each took a hand. The entire GCH team was behind me. I walked with the two a few steps, and gently handed them over to the team that was waiting for them. I felt great Love in my Heart, for these brave souls who stepped 'out', and came toward the Light. I felt surprise that they listened and everything went okay. I felt gratitude for the team putting me up to it in the first place. I understood that the Dark entities were gone, but the remaining Negative entity removals were to be coordinated by the team over the next few weeks.

And I felt a golden, sweet honey energy from the patient, as if it was the end of a play, and the actor who played the villain comes out for the curtain call; you can tell they are nice and just played the part to make the play more fun. I was amazed at what a powerful soul was hiding underneath all that Train Wreck. The green chakra was very big and bright, possibly the brightest I have ever seen.

All of this took thirty seconds. Spirit work is like managing the airway. When you do it long enough, you gain skills, and speed is one of them. I was watching the surgery, the patient, the monitors, and the anesthesia machine the whole time I was doing Reiki--well, a form of it : ). I also gave morphine in the middle of the thirty seconds because I noted that the blood pressure had gone up (readings were every three minutes). I just put the Reiki on pause like you would something on your digital recorder at home.

So there you have it: moments of sheer terror, two on the airway, and one with Spirit/Reiki/Light.

How was the wake up in the last patient? Did I get hit? No. The morphine did the trick.

But the foley broke apart in a way I have never seen it happen when we wheeled the patient out of the door from the O.R. The nurse had to get gloves to fix it...

Llama Llama And Their Mama

Woo alert!

This is a story about what actually happened with Reiki use in the O.R.  The names of the characters have been changed into 'Llamas'' to protect, well, to protect! LOL

Once upon there was a Llama. Just like all good llamas, this one was very edgy, and wound too tight. With mama llama right there with her 'not so little llama', this Llama Llama had the audacity to tell the surgeon what to do. And how!  I will take 'this' procedure and not 'that' procedure for the surgery.  Well, 'that' procedure is the bread and butter of this specialists' ability to heal. How else can disease of that particular organ system be visualized?

In fact, the surgeon warned me about Llama Llama an entire case in advance! Surgeon was 'just trying to be friendly' but I saw between the lines. Again, at the bedside, the pre-op nurses pulled me aside, making sure to let me know 'what was up' with patient Llama Llama and their mother Llama Llama.

When I met the patient, that was my first impression--I am taking care of a llama! Wow, mother looks like a llama too!  Big brown eyes. Long neck, and thin. Very very thin. And as I spoke further with the pair, the combined energy felt like llama: did you know that sometimes angry llamas spit?

Fortunately for me, I enjoy all animals, even the not-so-nice and sometimes a little-in-your-face ones. In fact, they give me opportunity to use my skill I have that sets me apart from the rest. This is not just Reiki. This is in fact, something that has been developing in me since medical school, and I added a layer of Reiki right on top of it. I call it 'The Cake of Heart with Reiki Frosting on top'.

Completely grounded, and utterly calm, I listened to the patient explain why the wish for no i.v., no anesthesia, no certain equipment used, no yada-yada-yada. With a smile and very grounding energy, I silently took energetic control of the situation. Out of love for fellow man, and for curiosity, I asked a simple question. Always watch out for the ones that ask the simple question. That shows they have read one too many stories about the Buddha! I am just kidding. If a patient tells me 'I don't want anesthesia' and they are scheduled for surgery, then the natural question is to gently ask, 'Why?'.

It turns out the last time was extremely unpleasant and the patient felt 'groggy'.

It turns out that there is a high intake of 'legal but recreational substance'.

It turns out that the dynamic between the mother 'llama' and 'llama' was less-than healthy.

It turns out that the PROFESSION of this 'llama' is so high-strung, that this disease, which is the only time I have seen it in my entire career, is epidemic amongst many of those who are in this line of work.

We go in the O.R. I 'titrate to effect', with very little sedative. I am watching the BIS monitor the whole time. Not even a blip of effect from the versed (anxiolytic benzodiazepine). BIS still sky high, like, 98. Patient llama says they feel it 'working fast'. O.K.

It is times like this experienced anesthesiologists turn to the 'verbal valium'--I have come to discover, through Reiki practice,--that 'verbal valium' is another term for Unconditional Love and Support.  I enjoyed my patient. I asked questions about the Profession--something I knew little or nothing about--with genuine interest. You can't fake genuine interest, even with people on anesthesia drugs. Patients know.

I also said, 'When the surgeon is injecting local, I am going to give you the World's Shortest General Anesthetic--I am going to take you out because I do not want for you to feel the needle and its sting. Are you okay with that?'

Llama agreed.

I showed Llama the BIS monitor, explained what I was doing with it, and where Llama's level of consciousness being read on their own brain wave activity was going to be for the case. Llama watched as I started the deeper sedation, with a great big smile of understanding in a way that totally made sense to them.

Llama took a lot of anesthesia. BIS 70 was my target for 'MAC', monitored anesthesia care. BIS of 70 is brain waveform seen when one has pulled an 'all nighter'. Groggy, slow, but still 'you'.

Through the procedure, patient kept reacting (but fortunately not remembering) even with BIS of 50, which is right in the middle of General Anesthesia range.

I had to run the case at 20, and still, there was some movement to the surgical stimulus, but it was very blunted.

BIS of zero is electrical silence of the brain. You can 'quiet' it, and people do fine, although it is not something you do every day. There is no need.

Where is the Reiki? The entire case I gave 'hands ON Reiki' while pretending to 'adjust' the BIS sticker.

That Reiki poured in through me like I have not seen in a long time.

I also had recently spend three hundred dollars in a good deed. I had bought healthy food to the O.R. potluck for both day and night shift. This food is pricey, but worth it, since the vibration is high. I supported the people who make it, gave the restaurant exposure, and also raised the awareness of Living Food to my colleagues. They are still talking about the food and that was two days ago.

Did you know that a clearing of negative attachments, healing of the aura, sealing it, and installing a golden mesh of protection against further attachments costs, in spirit,  is one hundred fifty bucks? That is the energy equivalent of the healing that is done mostly by spirit, by the Guides of Compassionate Healing. Although I have not been 'designated' to use this healing and make it available (someone else I know and love has that business to support themself), the GCH have made allowances for me to use this in select cases in my work. As 'outreach' and 'compassion' in a limited way. And to access it, I have agreed to do a good deed of the value of one hundred fifty dollars for each person who I designate this process of deep healing to happen. Consent is done on a Soul Level, the guides let me know if it is not 'right' for each person. It is always 'okay' by the soul of the person first.

Well, during hands-on Reiki with llama, I got the notion to ask my friends of GCH to come and help this patient. Guess how many Dark Entities there were in there? There were three! At most I have ever seen was a Major and a Minor--one to learn, one to teach. This was a huge energy drain and source of suffering for this patient! How many Negative Entities were there? Nine. Most adults have only five Negative Entity parasitic energy attachments to their aura. A scattering of them have the Dark Entity--one that actively seeks to generate negative energy by causing pain and suffering to its host.

What is happening to Llama since I accessed this healing is at the minute of commitment, the Dark Entities were removed? The 'souls' of the DE's are negotiated and sent to the Light. Then over the next nine to twelve weeks, possibly sooner, the NE's will be removed on schedule one by one as the aura's energies permit. Then the aura will be healed, balanced, and sealed. Then through a special dispensation a protective gold mesh will be installed on the outermost layer. New attachments cannot come in, unless the host weakens the aura with their negative thought patterns, strong negative emotions, or participating in negative 'recreation' involving chemicals, and other weakenrs of the auric field.

I also 'bought' this healing for mama llama. This thought came when everyone in the O.R. made comment about the mother being a key person contributing to the high strung disposition of llama patient.

There was a wonderful warm glow through my core and my hands as I worked. I also kept the BIS low, which was technically a full general anesthetic, and as I helped maintain the airway for the rest of the case, which ran about thirty minutes, Reiki flowed through my hands.

I also sensed a peace and calm that feels amazing when I do good for somebody without asking for it in return.

Would you like to know a secret? By reading this far, you have earned a gift!

This same healing, if your soul accepts it, has been provided to you.

I publish my book online, one chapter at a time, for free. It was going to put me on the map as a psychic healing Reiki Doctor. Did you know there are six stories out there at the bookstore, in paperback print, with more than half of them from doctors, that are about 'heaven'? They are all international best-sellers. And these are from people who have had one--and only one--near death experience.

None of them work in partnership with source/spirit/etc. every day and bring it to the O.R. and never say a word like me. Except I say a word here in this blog, on Facebook as Doctors With Reiki, and on Twitter as @usui2012. And to my Reiki students. <3

Everyone who clicks, follows, 'likes' gets a chance at this healing--gratis. (that is 'free' in Latin)--if their soul accepts this. The GCH ask the Higher Self of the person before starting the healing process.

I do this because you are WORTH IT and your soul is very precious to me, as it is to all that are in the higher dimensions like the GCH.

You deserve a 'leg up'. If your vibration has got you to the level where might be interested enough in this type of subject, and in learning more, BOOM, I offer this extended hand and help lift you up.

Then you will have enough energy to discover your Purpose in this school called Life. I gently kiss the top of your head, and bless you on your way.

It just is. You are free and the energy exchange has been settled. There is no need to do anything more on your part. Sometimes some give thanks. And others, a handful, continue to follow this blog each and every day.

I love you. This is why I have made this gift.

And the llama? Well, in PACU, there was 'this was EXACTLY what I wanted!' and 'write your name down for me and put it with my stuff' and a lot of talk about yoga. This llama takes a llama yoga class not far from the hospital--surprisingly enough.  I did not write llama off. I saw the opportunity for healing at the root of the disease process: the energy imbalance in the chakras. And I gave this healing too.

As I was putting away my drug box, I had my hat off so llama could not recognize who I was. I heard llama still talking about me while getting put all dressed into the wheelchair to go home. 'What is her name again? Of my anesthesiologist? I REALLY LIKE HER and I want to remember her....'

It was a good case!

A Doctor With Reiki

This blog is not what would appear to the eye. It is the story of an individual Doctor who has found their 'Way' through Reiki.

The Reiki has allowed for the alignment of the Divine, as it appears in their skill set: mediumship, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, clair cognizance, and healing others as well as their own Doctor Heart.

I must add that Reiki, alone, without the support through Psychic Development that often accompanies the Reiki student's path of learning, would be just half the story.

My brothers and sisters in the 'hands-on' traditions, I do not know if they experience these 'Reiki Guides' etc. They are writing papers and not talking.

But indeed it is true.

Today is my first day of Freedom. I look forward to being Light in action  with my day. My deepest scars are healed. I am set free. And life is wonderful!

Reiki and the Amusements

Some of the nurses in OB and I have season tickets to broadway show series at local theaters. Yesterday we went to see a play with a famous gymnast in the starring role--Peter Pan.

As I stepped into the theater itself, after standing in line, I got the feeling that the egyptian vibe was 'something more' than art deco. Throughout the entire performance (which was excellent--acting, singing, dancing, staging, and the like), I just couldn't pay attention.

There was something very 'read between the lines' going on with the plot and the dialogue, something again, that seemed right from the cabal...

I could tell by my physical reactions: I got up to go to the washroom in both acts, and took a phone call from my sister, essentially missing the second half. I had no desire to sit in my seat and watch the play.
And I felt a big rush of relief when I came out of the theater.

I'll leave it at that. If you are not 'into' the same entertainment activities you were before, you may just be 'waking up' and further along on the Ascension Process. This is good because many of 'The Amusements' were designed to keep you stuck deep in the Matrix in the first place.

You know, those trainers at the marine mammal parks never say, 'whale, you are going to jump on my command!' . They make it a game. There is lots of reinforcement. The whales just think they are having fun. And by a series of small approximations over a great length of time, the whales can do tricks on the command of their trainer. But only if they are in the mood that particular day.

Anybody who set about to control terrestrial mammals that walk on two feet, would use the same small approximations and rewards to facilitate the control as well...that is how the mammalian brain works.

So where is the woo? The Amusements are only half of the title!

Well, we poked our head in to a hotel restaurant looking for lunch. That place was HAUNTED! And open only for dinner. We walked further.

Then at the W across the street, we had lunch. My friends were talking about America's Horror Expeditions (or something like that), a spooky show where it has the same haunted house but shows different families living in it each season...They said 'how bad some of the ghosts were and hurt people.'

I couldn't listen. I was 'picking up' ghosts in the whole entire area! They 'see' my Light, and the ones who want to 'Go Home' tend to congregate near me. It was like this at Psychic Development Circle, too, early in my training.

In the middle of lunch, while my friends were going on and on about the hauntings and how creepy ghosts are, I was nodding politely and telepathically contacted my guides of compassionate healing.

The GCH are the ones who do the work to help souls cross, not me. I only partner with them. I asked them to kindly open a vortex for these souls to cross and this area to be 'cleared'.

I saw a beautiful bubble of warm pink loving energy form a column right in the middle of the street. It got both sides of the street wide, went tall, and then a thin line of blue came up right in the center. In a flash the whole thing went blue, and I felt the 'movement' of the souls entering the light.

It took about five minutes. That is how long it usually takes.

I got back into the conversation. And I ordered a dessert: sicilian pistachio ice cream, cherry compote, and some chocolate flour-less cake square that was out of this world!

It wasn't Reiki, exactly, but it was energy work for the healing of others. As I enjoyed the last bit of my dessert and my tea, I smiled and was glad to be with my friends.

The Vortex: How To Help Souls Cross To The Light

Disclaimer: This might be upsetting to some readers. It is written in Light and for Intent of Highest Good For All who read it.

When I was in medical school, I first discovered my gift for taking souls to the Light. (See post What Happens When I Wake Up) for details.

I learned of a friend, Lola H., who was part of a group that did the same thing. They would gather together just for the purpose of helping lost souls who were stuck on earth, find their way to the light. She never told me how they do it. Just that they do. And she never shared exactly who they  were, or how many.

The difference between a ghost (soul on Earth plane) and a Spirit (visitor from The Other Side) is three feet. Three vertical feet. A ghost will have their feet be on the ground. And a Spirit will have their feet about three vertical feet up off the ground.

I am going to tell you how it works. The group sending souls to the Light. I am going to tell you here and now.

In my psychic development classes, there are times when we work on this. We are protected by the Light, by the teachers, and by the Guides of Compassionate Healing. Do not try this at home. Do not try this on your own. It would be like a person who had never been taught trying to do action stunts in the movies. Stuntmen and stuntwomen have been trained carefully for their work. It is risky. So it is with helping Lost Souls.

The first time I tried it was in a Channelling Class. As we started the meditation, at my red chakra, I saw lots of black in it. I was like, what's THIS?!? in my mind. I saw a flash of light leave me. Next I knew, this asian woman  six seats away was talking in a man's voice. An angry asian man's voice. She got up and started walking around, and fell on the ground, saying all kinds of shouting angry things in some language I did not understand. I thought my teachers did not know what they were doing. I called on St. Michael right away, and said the exorcism prayer over and over. Everyone in class was terrified. I was too, but facing the challenge of spirit with a courageous heart. She came back. He left. She was instructed never to come to channelling class again, but learn other specialties: she was too open, a natural channel. She left.

He came back. To me. Several times over the next few days after. Scared me to death. I learned who he was.

I called him on it. Big deal, taking over a girl and scaring a class! If you were really brave you would be a warrior for the Light!

It caught his attention. I had a point. What is the use of frightening people and being angry when you could do good instead? He vanished.

He came back several days later, and apologized. I saw him zip up to the Light. He came back, calmer another time, with good advice for me.

He switched.

Every other class since has been uneventful. It was the first time for our teachers, too. They knew what they were doing. It took me two years to understand what they had done. And I respect them for their ability to handle that kind of event and bring calm back to a class and carry on.

In class, the group becomes one. We connect our hearts by a daisy chain, green to the neighbor on the left, and pink to a neighbor on the right. After we open our chakras, and finish the meditation, we direct a beam of white light, either from our hand or our heart to the center of the room.

I do not see the individual light beams. But where they collide, I see a huge column of white light start to take shape. It is about the size I make when I make a circle with my arms in front of me.

Then it starts to swirl. In a clockwise direction. It starts spinning and spinning, and then at some point, the teacher says that the Guides of Compassionate Healing are able to keep it going.

I see them, lining up, outside. The spirits waiting to cross. Sometimes they will come in front of me, and talk to me. Some have questions--how? Is it safe? What do I do? And I talk with them, in my mind. I answer their questions honestly, and encourage them to move toward anything that seems to have a color, and walk toward it. It will get brighter and brighter, and soon they may start to see figures in the light. It is their Loved Ones eager to help them find their way home. They may start to feel pulled in a little faster, not to be afraid, it is how it works and it is okay. And they can always come back for a visit.

And then they pause, as if to decide. Sometimes I hold their hand and walk them near to the Vortex, in Spirit.

Then they go quiet. Nothing. Silence. Gone. And I know they successfully made it to the Other side.

Once or twice one has stopped by to say, 'Thank you' to me. I appreciate that very much. It is rare.

The entire process takes about twenty minutes from start to finish, opening the vortex to getting all souls that want to go, in.

It is one of the things I like to do best.

I want to talk about the formation of the Vortex, in a scientific sense. Because of the Laws of Free Will, the Angels and Heaven can't bring the path down to the plane that these souls are on. It is the Earth Plane, an entirely different and uncomfortably low vibration for the angels. But us, with our Free Wills, can. We meet the Guides of Compassionate Healing halfway. They are the ones that get the job done. They do all the work. We only facilitate it. And we help because often souls that are departed want to talk to a human, not an angel with wings, about important decisions like that.

It is very gratifying work to do.

By willing it, we can work together to raise the vibration in an area just enough so that Spirit can reach it. Then Spirit can help and do what they do best.

Free Your Heart, conclusion

Yesterday we went over 'why we are here', basically, 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'.
Now we are going to talk about extra credit, bonus points, and balm for the aching soul.
I saw a quote online today. It was by somebody famous. Let me find it for you:

‎"It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all." ~ JK Rowling
Here is the crux of the situation--we live in a world where failure and heartbreak are commonplace. This is how we advance ourselves as souls. But the beauty of it is, WE live in a world where failure and heartbreak are COMMONPLACE. And NO ONE LIKES TO FAIL OR HAVE THEIR HEART BROKEN.

So what do we do when we have failed, or had our heart broken? We reach out to others. Others reach out to us. We get what we need to prepare ourselves to attempt the painful situation again and risk failure to achieve SUCCESS.  Hence the old adage, 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again'. And Winston Churchill advised us to, 'Never, never, ever give up.'  This is truth. For 'where your mind goes, there your A** will follow' (I saw that on an old bumper sticker'. Churchill's advice to have a hope and stay calm, and to persevere are one-hundred-percent correct.

Not only do we grow by our successes and by our failures, we GROW also by helping others up on their paths. This is the Miracle of COMPASSION. Compassion would not be born of its own without having suffered ourselves.

And when you allow Forgiveness to flow, between yourself and others, the growth is limitless, and full of potential.

The system works! It has its own checks and balances. Keep trying. And keep extending that helping hand out to others along the way.

Life in the Fast Lane: Reiki in a Busy OR

This is a picture of a surgeon standing in their socks in a case. Almost all opthalmologists take their shoes off during surgery, too. They have to concentrate, and want to limit their distractions to a minimum. In the O.R., we work accurately, and we have to work FAST.

The last two days have had busy line-ups with lots of patients. Day before yesterday, I didn't have time to do Reiki on everybody. Just some. And yesterday, I didn't do Reiki at all. Except for being a continuous source. Why is this?

Well, during a case, I will have looked up the information on a patient before coming to the operating room. I will have spoken with them, examined them, and if necessary, given a little 'cocktail' or 'margarita' in the i.v. to reduce anxiety and make them forget what is going to happen. I also will have all the necessary equipment in the room for the anesthesia for the case.

Once in the room, I help the patient transfer to the table. Yesterday we did one case on the gurney and that was nice, not having to move the patient! But after they move and their pillows are adjusted, I put on blood pressure, pulse oximeter, EKG, and supplemental pre-oxygen. I induce anesthesia, and insert an  airway. It can be an LMA or and ETT, but I have to do it quick and not break teeth. Some teeth are in poor repair, and I have to be more careful than always. Once my tube is secure, the nurses position, prep, and the surgeon and scrub tech drape.

By the time for incision, we will have done a 'Time Out' to verify the surgery, the antibiotic status, the ASA status (how sick they are), and my anesthesia plan. I have to deepen the anesthetic for the incision.

Once this is done, i chart. Although some anesthesia records are automated, there is still a lot of information to be put in, especially the drugs given and the narrative for what happened. The is the fleshed-out preoperative assessment in the computer I need to complete, and the post-op orders for the patient in recovery room.

I also set up for the next patient and research them on the computer at this time.

Last, when there is time for it, I complete my billing information and staple it to the face sheet. The face sheet has all the information about the patient and the insurance on it. That is how we bill. Self-pay means the patient does not have money and I work for free. And cash is awkward because I have to collect it from the patient prior to surgery. Some give me a hard time about the fee and I have to call my boss or the accountant to verify the fee before they write the check. It is awkward to be in that position.

When do I eat? When do I use the bathroom? How do I make calls I need to make to set up appointments?

I run. Between the cases, I can take a few bites, but I am always rushing. If I  drank too much coffee and the patient is stable, the RN watches for less than five minutes while I run to the loo. And calls in the OR? As few as possible during the case.

I do, however, like to read journals and the newspaper to keep up during the maintenance part of the case. I am constantly watching the patient, the surgery and the monitors, but I need this breather to regenerate the energy I have been expending as a caregiver. It also helps me not to space out during the longest part of a case. I focus on everything at once.

This is when I am most likely to do Reiki. So when the case is short, or I am 'spent', I have to skip it.

That is the lesson I learned these past two days. Reiki regenerates you, but it has to be spontaneous. It is not compulsive. And when it gets that way, it can be 'one more thing to have to do'.

The Reiki I gave day before yesterday was to a patient with negative mental attitude, with a spinal cord stimulator AND an intrathecal pain pump in place that kept failing. These are each fifty-thousand dollar devices that are like pacemakers or insulin-pumps inserted in the back for pain management. When I hooked in for Reiki, I felt St. Michael behind me doing all the work. St. Michael helps in the clearing out of bad spirits, the dark entities and the negative entities. I did some Reiki, no Karuna, but chakra balancing and Deeksha. What I picked up is that sometimes train wrecks come to me for them to get rid of their parasites in their aura, and give them a chance to recover from their plight.

One patient had the surgeon perplexed. They kept having terrible abdominal pain. No test could find it. He had to operate, and found only mild adhesions in the intestines. But if I could, besides the MRI, the CAT scan and the ultrasound imaging, I would have done Reiki first. And balanced the chakras with the Guides of Compassionate Healing. I would bet dollars to donuts there was a pair of Dark Entities, a Major and a Minor, in either the red or orange chakra.  Those are the kind that like to cause pain. And nobody would know about it.

Again, I would like to recommend the work of Margaret Mc Cormick. For a fee, she can diagnose your 'attachments' remotely (she uses her pendulum), clear them, heal your aura, and protect you so that no negative or dark entities can attach to your energy system again (unless you invite them. you always have free will). I had it done early, and I felt it working from far away. The first removal, I had to nap! Be sure to check out her work if you are interested. If you work with people on a daily basis, I recommend it as a layer of protection in addition to your daily shield of white and/or gold or pink light. There is too much risk for you otherwise. Think of it like wearing protective gloves, gown, and eye shields when working with a patient with Hepatitis C. I did two of those yesterday...just as there is always risk 'you can catch something incurable' from body fluids, know that there is risk 'you can catch something energetically' too.

I think the need for balance, for rest, is to strengthen the aura. I think that is why I need my 'downtime', relatively-speaking, in my high vigilance, high caseload day.

Take care and know I love you : ))),
