Aloha

Aloha is a Hawaiian word that has multiple meanings. Aloha is a greeting. It is also a way of saying  'good bye'. And of course, Aloha is a way to say, 'I love you'.

Today at the Water Park in west Oahu, I was thinking about Shaka, a funny symbol the surfer in the picture is making with his left hand. It means 'hang loose'.

I thought about it because the ride was named Shaka, and you slid in a two-seater raft down and up the pinkie finger and the thumb. It was very thrilling.

Today was a big day for me. Let me explain.

It was my last day in Oahu for some time.

I really wanted to go back to Waimea Falls, and swim under the waterfall. There is a lot of 'mana' there, earth spirit energy. In 2012 April I went, and it was very moving for me. On my Facebook page, Doctors With Reiki, that is the very waterfall you see on my page.

Today, I called the people at the fancy center education thingy for Waimea Falls business. It IS a business--don't let them kid you. But it is a conservation place too. They were not sure if we could swim under the falls today. The lifeguards are always there, but they draw 'an imaginary line'...for as far as you can go. It's also 'first come first serve'--for safety.

You know what?

I have made some progress in two years and a little longer! I chose to go to Wet and Wild instead!

  • It's more fun for both my boy and me.
  • Waterfalls are waterfalls, and by intention, the 'lazy river' waterfall I had go on my head--was spirit rich!
  • I wanted to be with the people.  (as it turned out, today was Kama'aina Wednesday, and many locals came) On my LAST day, I wanted to be with the people of the islands, and enjoy being together, before I had to leave.
Here is my miracle...

At the end, by the gift store, there is a machine that sells little coins for souvenirs. One had a shaka on the front and all SEVEN Hawaiian Islands on the back.

It was one for three dollars, two for five dollars.

I had two dollars and thirty seven cents.

My boy ate a five dollar ice cream bar. Haagen Dazs (twenty carbs and three protein). And I had to miss out.

A nice couple was at the machine. I asked if they were going to do the five dollar one? If there is extra might I join in on the deal? I didn't have three dollars, or even two fifty. Just two dollars and thirty seven cents. They said yes. They took my two dollars, and not my change.

They let me pick the one I wanted. And I almost cried tears of joy. They didn't know me from Adam--and they shared.

Hawaiian people are like that.

I gave all my change to a homeless woman on Wednesday, after I spent all my cash at the drug store getting food and sunglass/eyeglass cleaner my boy wanted.

I gave ten dollars to a man who said his dog ran out of dog food on Sunday.

And now, somebody gave to me!!!

That's not the end of the story. As I admired my coin, a young man played the ukelele. He was GOOD! I asked if I could please watch him strum, up close, because I had been reading and the technique with thumbs and fingers is confusing. He let me watch. The fingers strum down, very low on the fingerboard but above the little hole. The thumb strums UP. And The base of the thumb? It makes a scratchy sound when you want to thump it on the strings.

He said his name was Gilbert, and he shook my hand. I thanked him.

Later,  the water park exit worker gave us two sets of coupons for free stuff from Pizza and Taco Place--a national chain--and we couldn't use them back home. As we were wondering who to give them to, we walked by Gilbert, of all people! I asked, 'could you use these?' and he said, 'yes!' So we gave them to him.

And THAT is Aloha!

The Gift Of Gracia

Gracia.

It is a uniquely Spanish word.

Although 'gracias' is how Latins say 'thank you' across the world, and although I was fluent in Medical Spanish and had a certificate, I had never heard of the word.

I was at a restaurant on a date with a nurse from the ER, a tall man with blue eyes and dark curly hair. He looked Italian, but was actually long-generation Spanish-American, with roots back to El Centro, California.

The food had been exquisite, and now it was time for dessert.

I watched his face as the server read the menu of options. I could see he wanted the strawberry custard thing. I didn't like it, but he had paid for the meal very kindly, and I wasn't that hungry for dessert.

'Get what you like' I gently encouraged him. And he ordered it.

As soon as the server left, he looked at me with surprise and blurted out, 'You have GRACIA!'

'What is THAT?' I asked, confused at a term I had no concept of, as a native English-speaker.

'Gracia is someone who is kind, very nice, and is able to put others before themselves. It is a good thing, a very rare thing, and you have it.' he politely explained.

Later, he said, that was the moment he fell in love with me.

We were married the next year.

This was husband number two. We have been apart for ten years now. I couldn't take it any more, the mood swings and other unpredictables in his nature, so I left. But the good things, the lessons, are what stay.

Why not think about Gracia in your day? Recognize it. Appreciate it. And share it from your heart.

Aloha and Mahalos,

P.S. It's pronounced Gras-see-ah….it means 'Grace'. Here is the link to the translation if you wish to know more: http://spanish.about.com/od/wordsweshare/p/gracia_grace.htm

Declaration Of Independence: Healing the Sushumna

Sushumna is the Divine Child of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine Energies

In Yoga, there are three main 'nadis' or pathways for Consciousness/Life-Force Energies to flow. On the left, is 'Ida', the feminine energies of nurturing, healing, and intuition. (it actually starts in the right brain and crosses over). On the opposite side, runs the 'Pingala', or Masculine Consciousness/Life-Force Energies of clarity, thought, and action.

In the middle is their 'child' the Sushumna. When the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine Combine, the Sushumna is created. It is the Sushumna that goes up the spinal column up and into the brain.

This is another lesson of Lady Isis.

Here is an example of applying this lesson today to my own life:

This morning there was an incredible 'rebalancing' of my own nadi's. Right now, there is a lot 'coming to the surface' and 'being released' in Lightworkers and awakening Ones across the globe. Although I had multiple layers of healing on this issue in the past, this is the one, guided by the Buddha, that helped me to understand who I am at my deepest, darkest 'scar'.

If you wish to read more, look to the right hand column and click on 'Healing Is Not Pretty'.

If you wish to read more about the nadis, click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadi_(yoga)
It has nice pictures if you are interested.

Today, I have been extra kind and gentle to myself.  One of the things you might not know about me, is that although I am good with directions, I tend to get lost. If the horizon is visible, if there are landmarks I do okay. But in wooded areas like Puna, I get turned around--a lot!

It took forever for me to find the home of another friend to bring the papayas for Cobra, Isis, and the rest of the conference. (My friends have so many growing they can't keep up with them fast enough, so I offered and they accepted.) When I arrived, there was only one person there. It was the woman who had seen me in the ladies room at Maku'u market. She had a cold and was resting while the group had left to see the sights.

I offered her Reiki. An incredible healing took place. It was complete with Pukuhu (the elders) and ancestors with a timeline being 'healed'.  We both realized once again, we were in the right place, at the right time, for the right purpose.

Later I went to the store. This is not like home where there are many stores right around the corner. The kids wanted Burger King! I stopped at Island Naturals to pick up a few things for dinner.

While I was there, I saw the flowers by the lettuce and the kale. In a tiny plastic cup were the most beautiful flowers. They are edible. There is nothing I love more than flowers in my food. It makes me feel so 'connected' to everything I love--nature, fairies, devas, sprites, mermaids, unicorns, and the Goddess energy.

I almost didn't buy it because usually they are too expensive.

Then I remembered the healing that I had done earlier in the Buddha Shack.

I honored my Sushumna, and my past; I put it in the cart. It will go with my kale and golden beets and hemp seed salad tonight. I bless myself with acts of lovingkindness; this type of self-love is how we are going to raise the Consciousness of all who live on Gaia. It is important to emphasize the ability to show lovingkindness to yourself. It is when your 'cup' is filled, and you are skilled at 'filling it', then you embody Peace and Light and Hope for others around you.

I made it to Burger King, but on the way home I got majorly lost. I got lost twice! I went past Maku'u market before I turned around. Then on the way back I missed a turn, and also went on the wrong road. Fortunately, I am learning the area. Where I got lost this morning helped me find my way back home again, in fact!

Trust yourself, and allow the lovingkindness to learn. This involves making 'mistakes' in the process. There is nothing wrong in making mistakes, even if you keep repeating them from time to time. You are Conscious--you WILL learn. And when you do, be sure to celebrate the victories along the way, just like I did with the edible flowers for my salad tonight.

Kisses and soft hugs to reassure you as you 'wake up' in Consciousness. Healing is not always comfortable, but in the end, it is definitely worth everything.

Your tears have not been wasted; Your heart is liquid sunshine with a rainbow after the rain.

Healing Candle 1: Wildflower Meadow

For Imbolc I had bought some candles to help me release the old and make way for the new.
Wildflower Meadow, a green soy candle, reminded me of my perfect day. I was seven years old, and had befriended a fellow camper in the Dorst Campground where my family was camping. His name was Patrick, and he was from Pennsylvania. A very kind soul, he balanced my feminine by being masculine in the healthiest way I have ever experienced in my life. He took an interest in me, a genuine one. A little older, but not much, he guided me to experience the meadow that was right next to the campground. We saw skunk cabbage, walked on fallen logs, and laughed in the sunshine.

Between one log and the next, if it was a tough climb for me, he offered a hand, never making me feel weak in any way.

He also showed me the most wonderful surprise I had in my life, even until now. He asked if I wanted to see something special. He took me by the hand to a patch of snow by the meadow. It was June, and in the shade there was still a little left. For me, a California native, snow in itself is very rare and special! But in the snowdrift, were the strangest little red 'flowers' pushing up. Patrick said they were snow flowers. The snow, and the flowers, together had such a beautiful scent! It was more wonder than I could ever imagine, coupled with such kindness and willingness to share with a friend.

We were together three days. And when Patrick drove away with his family, I cried. I knew I would never meet anyone like him again.

When times are tough, I re-live that day in the meadow. And I bring back all of the Lovingkindness from Patrick, who was my angel, if only for a short time.

My family was stressful. There was conflict upon conflict my entire childhood. Money was tight. Mother had a hair-trigger temper. Father was controlling; emotion was not allowed. I was lectured for hours on end about 'my being selfish'. They tried to tell me that my allergies 'were psychosomatic'.  I had asthma that was not diagnosed--my lungs would whistle on a smoggy day while I played. I never told anybody, or understood what it was. I just stopped until it finished and I could get enough air to play again.

The Wildflower Meadow candle is my way of saying 'good bye' to all that. Both the happiness, the 'oasis' of Lovingkindness in the desert of my young life, and the emotional scars are behind me. Patrick has gone on to live his life. And I have made the best of what I have with mine also. My childhood, is a 'take the best and leave the rest' when that candle burns out by the end of this day. The fragrance has been lovely. And I know this is baggage I want to leave behind when I Ascend into the Golden Age.

The Garden

I grow a stubborn garden. It was inspired by the beautiful gardens of Villandry in France.  It was also inspired by my Italian grandparents who had orchards and gardens for as long as I can remember.

My garden is only a 12 x 12 foot plot I hacked out of the shrubbery adjacent to my back yard cement patio. I put a little fence around it, the kind you buy in two foot sections at the gardening section of the hardware store and it about one foot tall.  The soil is clay. There is not much light. I can grow tomatoes and chard, but I have attempted radishes, turnips, lettuce, blackberries, blueberries, carrots, pineapples, celery, brussels sprouts, cabbages, and arugula. Even the flowers I tried to grow withered. For eight years I have been at it, pulling weeds and planting seeds and talking to them to grow. (I give Reiki too)

The garden is also where I compost all of the non-meat and non-dairy wastes from my kitchen. I compost French style, with a hole in the ground. Actually three--a fresh one, an older one, and the oldest which has the fresh composted material.  I have composted my Christmas tree, any clippings from the front yard (which grows lovely flowers), egg cartons, and shredded paper. And always the coffee grounds, too.

One day, while working in the garden, I asked with my heart, 'Gaia? What can I do for you to help you heal from all of this pollution?'

The answer nearly knocked me over! 'You have done more to help me with this garden than anything else you could ever do.' There was an intelligence and a presence to that response that was strong and steady. 'Okay then' I answered, and I set about my work, thinking that Gaia likes fat nightcrawlers and beetles, the ones who compost the food.

Sometimes I get backed up, and I put small plastic buckets of food wastes out on the patio until I can put them into the compost piles. Sometimes when I am busy there can  be like, eight small buckets until the weekend. Something appears to show an interest in these buckets, and it is not a rat but I am not sure what. (there is no poop around the buckets).

On New Year's Eve, I learned who it was:
I did not know they could live in the neighborhood!

So even if it is only a hummingbird feeder (I have those too), a fountain (the birds like the water), a bird feeder (had one in medical school), or a compost pile, little lives can depend on your lovingkindness.
Start helping Gaia today. Just ask. She'll listen. And you might be surprised at Her reply.

Ascension Signs I See Both Within Myself and Others

I am starting to see signs of Ascension around me besides in the O.R. There is a widespread lovingkindness that is growing in myself, and seen in others as I interact with them. Here are some examples:

  • The owner of the pet store that I shop at gave me at ten percent discount because I am a good customer.
  • The server at the teppanyaki (Benihana-style) restaurant we go to accepted my buy-one-get-one-free coupon that expired September 30.  (I keep one in my wallet, always, but forgot to update)
  • The hostess at the tea house who had said it was a ninety-minute wait, moved us up when she saw that our friend's boy was special needs, and had trouble walking.
  • I haven't heard the Drama 101 Neighbors since I gave them Reiki Energy during their last argument on wednesday.
  • There have been no loud parties or people yelling at sports on the television either; quiet weekends are a rare event.

The more noticeable signs have been changes in myself:
  • On Thursday, mental clarity 'opened' at work--I could see 'wasted steps' in my anesthesia care, and quickly found ways to increase efficiency by removing unnecessary steps. The face mask, I put on my anesthesia machine, is just fine on the pillow next to the head. It saves two steps by not putting it on the machine and then back on the pillow during the case.
  • The loneliness went away.  Since age four, I have longed for 'someone like me'. I remember that day in High School where I realized no boy would ever be a 'good match' for me: I was different. Not just smart, cute, and athletic, but deeply spiritual beyond my teenage years. I was an 'old soul', and there just weren't many of them around.
  • I have no interest in the newspaper beyond using it to line my birdcage.
  • I realized that Disney Channel is full of triggers for alters. It just 'hit' me.
  • At the teppanyaki place, when the meat went on the grill, I felt revulsion for it, for the first time.
  • Tonight I ate wok'ed vegetables. I made frozen chicken nuggets (organic, whole grain) for my son, but I couldn't even muster a bite. The desire to avoid meat is that strong now, and is new.
  • A sense of the poignance of moments in everyday life that fill me with joy, for example, playing with the 'little green army men' with my children, and feeling like such a girl because I have no clue how to play with them. I felt lucky to have their trust and have a chance to see how they play.
  • Instead of 'automatic no' I am stepping back and saying 'yes'
  • Connection to Spirit is Wide Open: two deceased communicated with me, I saw three ascended masters off and on throughout the day, and I opened a vortex over Mission San Juan Capistrano while taking visitors there today. Why? To bring in the Light and rid it of any historical Darkness. I saw a big blue light come up from the earth and go up to the sky. It was beautiful.
  • There are times recently, off and on, that I feel waves of tingles, or 'downloads'.
  • I have no desire whatsoever to 'connect' with some websites I used to 'follow' for 'alternative news'. What's done is done. I am ready. I don't need to know how or what or when. All I like now are the original sources: pleadiandolphininfo, Mike Quinsey (Salusa), Sheldan Nidle, Montague Keen, and Matthew's Messages. And this is only when it resonates, especially if I am to share it with you.
  • My vibration feels 'right', 'normal' and 'like is should be'. This is new.
  • I feel less of a 'need' or 'desire' to 'hide who I am'. I am 'coming out' as Reiki Doc in my private life and professional life in a big way, in 'little bits' here and there, consistently.
  • I feel like those horrible technologies that have been used against us (making us apathetic, confused, confrontational) are being 'switched off' one by one. It is hard to describe, but I would liken it to going scuba diving and dropping weights off the belt one at a time, and feeling more 'up'.
  • The push to write is less urgent. However, the confidence to teach others how to find their own path, and of course, the enthusiasm to be their loudest cheerleader is gaining strength by leaps and bounds.
  • I look at the rising gas prices and somehow know it isn't going to be like that for much longer.
I hope you have the best 'rising up' all the way around you and within you. If you are noticing subtle changes as we increase our Light and accelerate forward into the higher Dimensions, would you minds sharing in the comments section? I know it is hard to do the 'verification thingy', but I have a sense your findings will be of use to others.

Take care and Blessings,

Bliss, Love and Harmony

Yesterday was better than most. I experienced a level of lovingkindness I had not experienced in a long time. Things are different. I think Reiki has been a huge part of it.

I was on call for OB. It had been an incredibly slow day. Then business started picking up. First a call for a blood patch, I prayed for guidance as I talked to this woman, with the not-so-great insurance that had a complication twice with her anesthetic. A high block, and then a spinal headache the following day. I was surprised at my candidness, and calm in that situation. She chose the patch, it went in.  And I was called away upstairs to the Unit to intubate a Leukemia patient.

"God Bless You!" the nurse said when I arrived at the room. "Thank you so much for coming so fast."

He was actively dying. And alert. In terrible respiratory distress. I looked at the armband and using his first name explained who I was, what I was going to do, and what to expect after. He had had the breathing tube before. Once asleep and intubated, blood pressure went down. Way down. He was on dopamine, vasopressin and norepinephrine drips already, and they were maxed out.

"Can you put in an a-line?" they asked. Sure! Of course! I LOVE putting in a-lines. I hadn't for months. The right side, the vessel spasmed. On the left, I tried, and then like, WHOA!, the needle 'jumped' in and I got it. As I sutured it, my phone went off. Another epidural request.

After that epidural, I got some sleep. Maybe from midnight to two a.m.  At quarter to two, I got told there would be a c-section at two-thirty.  After a ten minute snooze, I got up, and packed my things. When the next anesthesiologist comes on, I don't like to have all my reiki books and household projects all over the room. I bring my own pillow and I take it back. Why did I pack at two in the morning for just one section? I get off work at seven. But I knew. Deep in my bones I knew I would not be back.

C-section, followed by epidural, followed by c-section. At six forty-five I was done. And the new guy was at the L&D front desk.

I got home. There was chaos. My mother had a temper growing up. Now she manifests disharmony when she watches my son. They love each other deeply. But I came home with food from Mc Donald's, not Taco Bell like he asked, because Taco Bell was closed.  They did not come downstairs, He had pulled the drawer out all the way on his dresser, and was freaking out because he could not find a pair of shorts without a zipper that fit. (He dislikes zippers. Sigh.).

Patiently, although I was starving and exhausted, I put the food down and went upstairs. "I don't want any drama. Calm down. Did you know there are shorts in the dryer?" After that came the food fiasco.
The egg sausage biscuit came to us blank. I called the store and got upset in Spanish. (the total ripoff was about four bucks). I was surprised because the people in line waiting for food pickup, and the workers had been so nice.

It was mom's turn to say, 'just don't go back.' At the grocery store near her house, they ring items up multiple times and overcharge her. And at local fast food, she has to double-check.

I got my boy to school, and went to get a car wash at the dealer. They are free. Everything clicked. There was a ding on a wheel, and I was glad I had the insurance to cover wheels and tires.

I was a continuous source of Reiki while I spoke with the manager and receptionist.

I came home and mom was still there. We talked and then I started to fall asleep while she was talking to me. Sitting right up in a chair. She covered me with a blanket, kissed me goodbye, and went home. This kindness was not typical of her, and I noticed it and enjoyed it.

When I woke up, I blogged. I cooked in the crock pot spaghetti and meatballs and sausage. I fed the snake, and prayed so hard for the rat not to suffer. One-eyed rat is happy, and the feeder roommates were okay. After I put the transition symbol in the rat, the snake squeezed. He didn't attack. The rat was just sitting on him calmly and the snake closed in on him. No biting the snake. No struggle. Unconsciousness came quick.

At the store there was a woman with wrinkles and too much makeup on. There was a new flavored water in the juice section. My son wanted kool aid juice boxes. I asked him what the sweetener was, for I bet it had high-fructose corn syrup. He was like, "Look it has 100% vitamin C!" But that is typical packaging to promote added vitamins when the product inside is not healthy. Nobody advertises like that on healthy food. Then he looked at the water. I said no. Please consider the 100% organic juice packets (they are diluted to have less calories). And the lady stepped in and said, ''water is always better." And it came out of me, "No. Flavored water isn't. You don't know what kind of crap (chemicals) they put in there to make it taste like that. He gets a frozen bottle of water in his lunch every day (temperature is HUGE to him. It has to be ice cold for him to drink it)." And I walked away. No juice and no flavored water. I did not like her butting in.

Throughout the store she heard me telling my son no to chocolate, cookies, pizza, Starbucks fresh hot chocolate. He has a weight problem and he craves sugar. He actually snuck an expensive candy bar into his pocket to try to convince me to buy it. I was polite but firm, and said doing that is actually a form of stealing and we don't do that in a store. He got cocoa puffs (I can't get him to eat breakfast because he is not a morning person), little blueberry muffin packets 'for when you are at your dad's house and you are hungry.', one lunchable, turkey sandwich meat. But there was a peace in all our interactions that was welcome. Everything was calm and fair, except for his childlike ways to sneak which are quite natural for kids.

At home, dinner, movie, phone calls for the assignment to work and family. Everything flowed.

Because I am gone so much, and this weekend is time for his dad, our son asked to sleep with me. I said yes. As he fell asleep, he was close and I started Reiki to flow. I turned on the switch with the power symbol in my mind. And Reiki can heal even when you are unconscious/asleep.  Reiki helps so much when work is long. It helps give him the love and harmony he lacks because of my schedule at work.

People are nicer. It is no fluke. And it is going to keep getting better. Peace and harmony are coming to Earth. Everything will be working for the betterment of all upon the planet. It will not be without work, challenges and struggles. But they will be fair tests. Intuition and inner guidance are going to help all of us as we go through our day. Just like for example, the day I showed you in this post.

Bliss. Come and get your fair share of it. There is plenty for everyone.

Namaste,

Reiki Doc
