My Dream Job: Caretaker For Animals in Nova Gaia

Animals are angels

Animals are very high Vibration.
They have a direct connection to Source at all times.
Just like the angels are connected to The Divine.

Animals embody the wisdom, 'Live a good life, learn, and go Home.'

Although Native Americans eat meat, they call the animals Brothers  and Teachers. The Shamans are well-versed in the lessons that each animal has to offer to help us grow in heart.

No matter what your view on animals in captivity, please hear me out.

Thank you.

Is this the original plan--humans helping plants and animals?

I say YES

I say we are 'heading in that direction'

And here's proof

This zoologist is studying the Siberian Tiger in the wild.

This man is testing deer for tuberculosis.

This zookeeper is tending to the feet of an elephant.

UCSD takes care of many patients from the San Diego Zoo.
( I support the zoo. I used to study there, on their student pass.)
My professor, greeny, stayed up three days and nights taking care of a baby orangutan that had a blood transfusion reaction after open heart surgery. It's the big one now on display.

On February 6, 2002, greeny made my dreams come true--I got to help him give anesthesia to the panda Bai Yun. It was the best day of my career, and she is my favorite patient!

The zoo thanks UCSD medical staff by hosting a Photo Safari Caravan in the spring.
I have fed a giraffe. The head is fifty pounds, and if it gets in the truck it can hurt you.
So you hold the acacia leaves out far when you feed.
I could feed them all day.
If you see a giraffe on any San Diego Zoo publication, look closely at the spots on the neck--
one has a shape of a perfect heart, it's mid-neck. They always use her photo.

I support the Pacific Marine Mammal Center.
It's a rescue for sick and injured seals and sea lions.
My Christmas gift from Santa was buying them medicines for one week.

My lifestyle is organic and cruelty-free.
I pay extra to support those who work with the land and respect Nature.

I educate my boy about animals and took him to see Jack Hanna.
As Jack autographed the two-year old's favorite plastic hippo, he commented,
'This is nice! Where did you get it?'
My boy said, simply, 'At Target.'
Jack laughed and posed for a picture. It was precious!

How could we care for our beloved Fur Babies,
without the working knowledge of zoologists, zookeepers, ranchers, dairy farmers, marine biologists, and veterinarians? (Not that I am for animal testing in any way--I was a returning student to medical school because I did not wish to do any research as a biology major that would kill animals. My friend got into UCSF on pituitary research--he had to decapitate turtles for the research. I couldnt' do it.)
Medicine for humans owes a great debt to animals too.

My friend in medical school, a devout Hindu and vegan, said I was cruel for keeping my pets and not letting them be free. He said it was cruel and not fair to the animals, any of them, even dogs and cats.

He was right.

And yet, I told him, 'I love my pets!' and I kept them. I couldn't explain why, but I valued the connection, and silently prayed that God would forgive me for not being able to let them go.

I've had the turtle over twenty years, and wrote a poem about her that got put into the Literary Journal of the School of Medicine.

Animals ARE my heroes. They are incredible teachers and friends. Their physiology is fascinating! Did you know that fish and frogs have only three chambers in their hearts? (mammals and birds have four).  Birds also have hollow lightweight bones and air sacs (like a dual chambered lung) to support flight? How it happens is way cool to me as a physician.

But for now, no matter how you feel about animals in captivity, will you agree, just for today:
  • to spay and neuter your pets to avoid unwanted animals
  • to adopt a pet to save it from being euthanized at the shelter when you want a new pet.
  • to express kindness, love, and compassion in all of your interactions with animals
  • to support organizations that heal animals.
  • to pray for our angels with fur, feathers, and scales, for All Divine Assistance.
  • to do everything possible to avoid further pollution and destruction of natural habitat.
  • to respect animals as our brothers and friends, and learn lessons from them all.

Cities of Light: Animal Healing

As the New Age approaches, everyone will go at the time that is right for them, to one of the designated Cities of Light for deep healing on a cellular/energetic level. All disease will vanish from Gaia.

I am not sure how it works, or where it will be. I understand there are to be around eight of them. Something like Sedona, in a way, where there is natural earth energy that will heal in the first place, and then a city built around it.

Yesterday I saw a Chinese cow that is extinct in the wild and only lives in zoos. I saw the last two Northern White Rhinos. And I saw the successful breeding of Southern White Rhinos, which has made over ninety calves at the San Diego Safari Park. It is the most successful in the world. Numbered at, i think, 20,000 Southern White Rhinos in the world, they are being poached at a rate faster than they are being born. At a preserve in South Africa, there are four armed guards for every rhino. Poaching has increased at one hundred times the rate it was ten years ago. So the Southern white rhinos are destined to extinction too.

Why the poaching? Because certain healers think that rhinoceros horn has 'healing property'.

That makes me sick. Viscerally sick. It isn't the healing that these people want, it is the money--from poaching, from selling, from patients... These majestic animals who stand six feet at the shoulder, killed for what? To be left dead in the field, not even for bush meat--just to rot without their horns? Like the elephants who are being slaughtered for ivory?

Why the difference between the Southern White Rhino and the Northern one (who is going to be extinct when the last eight on the planet die)? Because of politics and governments. When bad things happen to people in a country, it trickles down to the animals and wildlife. South Africa took a stand thirty years ago and made the commitment to help their rhinos and work with the zoos. The areas where the Northern White Rhino are, didn't.

Almost every animal I saw from the back of that photo safari truck was endangered, rare, and threatened. Some breeding programs were working, some were not. The goal is to release animals from the zoo into the wild, when the wild is safe from the effects of mankind on their native habitat.

On Saturday, I learned that one of the new whales at SeaWorld San Diego, Ikaika, was born in Orlando, but 'on loan' to an aquarium to the north. I will not mention the name, but apparently they have a poor track record, and many orcas die at their facility. (see orcapod wikia for more). SeaWorld had a bitter custody battle with the place in the north. They won, and saved him. They knew that the place in the north was in violation of international law on the care of killer whales (they are not to be separated or kept alone, since they are social).

I have since learned that there is a webpage devoted to Orkid (Orky's kid), by someone who is 100% anti-captivity but loves that whale no matter what.

Over at the Bahia resort across the bay, there are two harbor seals in captivity. They are very happy there. Why are they in a tank? Because they are rescues. These two seals are blind and can't catch fish. They would die in the wild.

I also saw that the zoo and SeaWorld are hurting for money. SeaWorld is up for sale. The last owners wrecked it. The flowers in the gardens, which used to be world-class, were worse than a mall. The place was empty. And all of the bright ideas from the people who bought it and 'changed things around' flopped miserably. We won't even go to the dolphin show, Blue Horizons, and we have Platinum Passes and are huge supporters of their Conservation and Research. Probably one of the best shows in the park, incidentally, is the Sea Lion show, Clyde and Seamore. It is always 'spot-on' commentary of contemporary culture and very humorous.

I asked Archangel Nathaniel today to make San Diego a city of Light for animals.  Animals are in need of healing too. They have been through so much. I know He likes a challenge--something impossible.

Animals are connected to Source at all times. For some reason we are the caretakers of them. My prayer and my hope is that with angelic help, we can do it right, and help them to be everything that God intended when they were created in the first place. It is my soul's desire for San Diego to be a shining point of Light where Love for the Animals, and their preservation and health, are unsurpassed.

Time To Rebuild

We have been like bettas in a beautiful tank 'Gaia'. We have been driven spiritually and by tradition to be at each others' throats, to defend our territory, and to make a beautiful display of the carnage.

It is done. It is finished. Now, on a Spiritual Level, we have Peace.

It will take some time for it to trickle down into our day-to-day society, to see the externals such as a change in what is reported in the news.  But in our heart-of-hearts, we know there is a difference. And according to Bella Capozzi, the animals, plants, and minerals, who were already on a different set of rules for Earth than we were, have now become the keepers of the grids.

It is time to let that one settle in: the animals, plants, and minerals are already the keepers of the grids.
There is an expectation for us to help care for them. Therefore, we shall become caretakers of the keepers of the grids.

Remember in 'Life is Beautiful' (La Vita et Bella) movie, where the father nobly told his son to hide and not come out until all the shooting stopped? Spiritually, we have all been like that boy, waiting for the good to win. And it has!

Before us is the rebuilding that we have left to do. Not just in our Spirit, but in our homes, our relationships, in our careers, in our society, in our way of doing buisiness...

By staying focused on spiritual principles with each decision we make, it shall be done. A new society shall be built.  One based on Love, Light, and Honesty. Take care of yourselves as we get this show on the road...

Elementary School Blue

My father was an elementary school teacher. Some of my earliest memories are from going with dad to his work. There was a hopefulness about the place. All of the children looked so much bigger than me! I looked up to them, and looked forward to the opportunity where I too could go to school and learn.

I thoroughly enjoyed the educational process. I picked up loud and clear that the generation that built the school hoped for great things from us students. Everything was neat, clean, orderly, and pleasant.

Recently I took a bicycle ride with my boy to a neighboring school. (He does not attend it, he goes to a school I selected just for him. He is a bright boy, and I want him to be encouraged to develop to the fullest of his potential.)

As an intuitive and as someone who has advanced degrees in higher education, I was shocked to see the local public elementary school. Where were the windows? There were no windows whatsoever on any of the classrooms! The school was painted drab gray, not the bright pink or yellow ones I grew up with in another school district. Although the playgrounds were fairly standard, and also there was a big grassy field with lots of trees, I noticed there was a lack of color. Gone were the flowering shrubs that were familiar in my youth at all of my schools. In a word, it was depressing.

There were many bungalows present, and I was surprised at how many jackets and lunch boxes were carelessly left outside over the weekend. I felt that everyone was just going through the motions, students, teachers, and the government that was not being a good steward to taxpayer money.

There was no auditorium or cafeteria, only benches underneath a shade. Litter was everywhere.
It was in disrepair. I have seen Navy Hospitals and VA Medical Centers that were more pleasant!

I was sad. I felt like this was a place where the life force in all of our young people was systematically destroyed. The children were being taught to live in their mind, and not their heart center. The heart is actually capable of making intelligent decisions on its own. But the heart needs peace, joy, love and contentment to function in its highest good. Not piles of homework and a backpack that weighs thirty pounds!

I envision a happy place for children to explore life, and to also learn from each other. Not just the social things, but from who they are. For everyone to learn at their own rate, and not be separated out so much by age and by academic ability. Some of the kindest kids on earth are the ones in the special education department. Their humanity is a shining example for love to reach beyond the confinement of Down's Syndrome, developmental delay, and physical special needs.

In addition to a brightly colored place where children helped to run it and decorate it and maintain it, there would be a curriculum to spur one on in the life experience. There would be cooking, woodworking, and computer skills from a very early age. There would be classes in metaphysics, the true history of the Universe (not this pack of lies that everyone has spoon fed you), and practice in honing the intuitive skills. Reading, writing and arithmetic would be there, of course, just like the science that I adore. There would be music and dancing every day. Lots of art in many different types of medium--clay, paint, computer just to name a few.  And lots of time for playing in the sunshine! It would be a place to build hope, confidence, and mutual trust in the skills of one another.

There would be animals and plants, and ample opportunity to get to know and take care of them.

There is so much to learn from the direct interaction with Gaia.
