Daily Self-Reiki--As Simple And Healthy As Brushing Your Teeth

Good Morning! Aloha and Mahalos! For all of my Readers--on Doctors With Reiki and Twitter and This Blog, I did a 'mass attunement' to Reiki One on an emergency-basis only (for self-treatment and the treatment of others you care about when the Reiki starts to 'flow') last week at the direction of Spirit.

I know this is controversial, and not everyone will support me in my decision to follow Spirit instead of Tradition on this.

But for those of you who feel so moved, and this 'resonates' with you, here are the steps you need to know in order to activate this gift if you have not done so:

Ok--everybody, you are ALL Reiki 1. Either already if you were attuned, and if you ask your Guardian Angel with your mind and heart together, they have your attunement for you 'waiting'. They will 'download it'.
Self Reiki 101:
1: ask your guides to assist and help you with the Reiki.
2. mentally think 'reiki on' or if you know it, say and see and make hands go shape of CKR (a symbol, not the letters). Both will work.
3. open your aura by mentally or physically moving your hands from your head slowly down to your feet about four inches away from your skin.
4. At hip and also at feet, 'grab' a handful of your energy and cast it deep to the core of Gaia to 'ground' you and help you anchor the energies. (mentally is okay, but physically is best.)
5. As you open the aura you are 'scanning' yourself for imbalances. You may or may not feel them.
6. Repeat the head to toe as it 'feels right'. Reiki will flow from your Guide to your top of your head (crown chakra) and out the palms of your hands. You may feel sensation in your hands.
7. At end, mentally protect and seal your aura--ask guide for help. I imagine 'frosting a cake'.
8. Ask guide to 'turn Reiki off'.
9. Imagine wrapping yourself in a sheet--pulling it up the front-tying a knot over your head, and drawing it down the back and tying a knot under your feet. This 'seals' it a little better.

Repeat this once or twice a day for maximum benefit. It will work. Keep at it. It will get stronger and easier the more you do. Think of it like brushing your teeth. It's a daily energy self-care.

The New Chakras from Ascension

I am smiling and laughing as I write this. I didn't think it could happen to me. But it did!

I feel wonderful. Radiant. And happy.

Why?

I feel the way I do because my chakras have 'shifted'. And I passed two 'tests' and 'know' it is true.

Yesterday when I was doing self-Reiki, something was 'missing'! I reached down to my red and orange chakras. It was just 'empty space'. It surprised me, and I felt higher towards the yellow to make sure that I was not imagining things.

The yellow one was magenta-golden, not lemon-yellow like before.

Up from that was totally normal--for me, there is the green, then at the manubrium (the bump where the sternum joins the bone between the clavicles--not the sternal notch, about two inches below in me) is pink, then blue (I got a lot of energy there yesterday--and after that energy I think I wrote like eight blog posts!), indigo, white,  silver, and gold.

These new chakras are working! In yoga class, a woman came in late and put her mat next to me. 'She has cancer!' I thought. I felt the energy and I 'knew' by clair cognizance. About five minutes later, when the teacher asked if anyone has any injuries or physical limitations, she raised her left hand and said, 'I am fighting breast cancer.' The left arm had the sleeve for pressure to treat lymphedema from node dissection (her cancer had spread to the nodes for her to have had a complete dissection to need that sleeve.)

Yesterday was the acid test. My childhood was spent in bitter jealousy with my middle sister. Mom gave her everything she asked. Including the golden teapot, creamer, and sugar that was promised to me. At my grandparent's fiftieth wedding anniversary, on my father's side, my MOTHER'S side grandparents, Nana and Nanu, who are also my GODPARENTS had given that gift. Mother promised it to me to inherit it after Grandma and Grandpa 'passed' because since I had the job of the reception table and signing in guests, they had forgotten to save me a seat. I had nowhere to sit to eat. All the tables were full. I had to eat with remote cousins whom I had never met. For a twelve-year old girl, social 'shunning' like that is extremely painful. The scars ran deep, and I cried bitterly at the reception that my own family would 'forget' me as easily like that, and my Aunties and Cousins would laugh and say, 'sorry, no room here!'. Only the 'strangers' understood and made an effort to make room for me. And I was squeezed in, as an extra setting, and needed a plate and fork and napkin to be brought.

Anyhow, every time I went to my sister's house and saw that gleaming in the china cabinet, the added betrayal gave me rage. I couldn't look at it, I couldn't think straight, and the nerve of my sister to ask mom, and take it, when she very well KNEW what I wanted and why was salt in my emotional wound of 'rejection' by my 'family of origin'.  That wasn't the last time my family let me down. It was the first of many, that fiftieth wedding party! And the emblem of the broken promise was illogical and childish of me, because my sister and brother in law are the kindest people who probably had forgotten not that I wanted it, but the pain that had been caused by being forgotten. That 'tea service' was the emotional 'band-aid' that had gotten me 'over' that 'wound'.

The worst disappointment from my family was their buying a cat. I am allergic. My eyes swell shut, and my skin gets welts if I touch one, even if I am on medication. I remember the longing and jealousy I felt once when I went into the home of a classmate in high school, Melinda. She and her brother had severe allergies, and the home was the first one that I could breathe freely--no dust (like where I grew up). And after college, and marriage, that cat literally slammed the door to 'run home to safety' in my face. I could not BE in that house without getting sick. As a result, I suffered four years too long in a marriage that had been abusive emotionally. I didn't know where else to go.

I once confronted mom on the teapot (the cat got put down while she was in the hospital with her kidney transplant. The box wouldn't have been safe for her to clean, and the cat too, the hospital said. Mom still thinks the cat 'ran away'). 'How COULD you?' I asked. Mom remembered. She knew. But she said, 'Your sister ASKED. And I NEED her.' She was right. In all of this illness, the sister is the one who lives closer and has done more than myself and the baby sister to help mom. More time. Runs mom's finances. Visits and coordinates an ambulance for mom to have her follow up visit today.

Yesterday we were at the house for my niece's sweet sixteen birthday. And the china cabinet, with the shiny gold teapot, creamer, and sugar, were not even a BLIP on my 'radar'! I LAUGHED inside at what a funny story it was! A remnant of my life in the Third Dimensional 'game' of Duality, where it was 'her or me' and 'respect' and 'honor' and all of those 'messy' emotions having to do with 'survival'.

I felt great. It was the last big hurdle. Now with my new chakras I feel like a big teddy bear inside, all warm and fuzzy, all of the time! My life is turned into a 'drama-free zone'! Woo hoo!

I have to be careful though. At dinner on Saturday night I sat near a Selenium Lamp. It made me giddy without my knowing it. I had no alcohol on board--none whatsoever--and I was on an energy 'high', looking back.

Life in the Higher Dimensions is going to be a blast! I can't wait to discover MORE about it!

For Caregivers

Five chapatis. That is how many pieces of indian bread, chapatis, Mother Teresa's doctor said she and her Missionaries of Charity had to eat as a minimum each day for optimum health. Totally immersed in her vows of poverty and service to the dying and sick, Mother Teresa had to be told she had to eat in order to be there for the people she loved to serve.

Tequila upstairs. A friend has a marriage with a big age gap. When health issues arose, this friend was cast into the caregiver role for six months until the health issues sorted out. Every night, curled up on the loveseat next to the patient at home after living so much in the hospital while the loved one was an inpatient that showers at home were every two days on a quick trip from the hospital. 'You can't get anything done--the minute you start doing something the patient calls with something for you to do. It would drive me nuts. I would have to go upstairs and take a shot of tequila every now and then just to relax.' Fortunately, this patient got better...

Although by all intentions we hope as caregivers to emulate Mother Teresa, in the trenches, the approach of the friend with the tequila is the way it plays out for most of us. You do what is expected of you at the burning out of your own self.

Reiki is an incredible way to heal others without depleting yourself. I do self-Reiki every day. But when my loved one was in the hospital, and still is, as a family we took shifts at being in the hospital. As a physician, I was totally unprepared physically, mentally, and psychologically to take on these nursing assistant shifts with my loved one in the hospital. Every time this patient could think of something to do, I jumped. For days on end...Up to the chair. Back to bed. Up to the bathroom. Back to the chair. Open this package for me. Cut my food. Small talk because they were afraid of the silence--and silence can be most healing!

In a thought--nurses get forty-five minute breaks for lunch for a reason. Caregivers do not get any breaks at all.

On the drive home, in shock that  a patient would refuse a treatment to get them better because of fear, I had to breathe. Breathe in what you need, breathe out what you don't need. Breathe in what you need (Light), Breathe out what you don't need (Fear).  I have been learning in Obstetrics that it is the Lack of Education and Understanding of Medical Basics is what makes for a needy, hard-to-please mother-to-be that screams when the i.v. is inserted and jumps around when the epidural is supposed to go in. Lack of education. Lack of Medical Insight. It will rear its head in an ugly need to establish control, especially when the patient is in denial about what is a reasonable expectation for their inpatient experience.

As my friend said, 'When you are told to go home with a tube, as a lay person, it is extremely terrifying. But when you come home, and the home nurse comes two of three times a week to visit, you are able to cope. Then you get the hang of it. I had to do things to my partner I never thought I would have to do (basic nursing functions)! When you have to do it, you just do.'

I ask, 'What about basic self-care for the caregiver on an energy perspective?' Here I am, all plugged in to Healing and Meditation, finding myself at the end of my rope--starving for energy, peace, calm, Light, and Love after being with a member of the family who is sucking me dry.

First I went to my doctor--who gave me strict orders--'no more than one hour a day'. Medically, the loved one got worse. I had to go back to twelve to twenty-four hour shifts in the sickroom to keep the family peace.

Second, I reached deep:

  1. I asked Archangel Michael to cut the etheric cords between this family member and me. I was being bled dry of my energy.
  2. I asked St. Germain to help me blow the Violet Flame onto the situation. The Violet Flame is a breathing technique that is very cleansing and healing at the same time, energetically.
  3. I did a jigsaw puzzle. That is very grounding and renewing for me. I enjoy it.
  4. I continue daily self-Reiki
  5. I ate home-cooked foods and fresh fruits and vegetables that are organic to replenish myself after all that cafeteria food at the hospital. (althought 'healthy', there is not much Life Force in the food)
I don't know how today is going to go. I must go back to the hospital again. It is my turn, and things are not changing clinically. I acknowledge that I just spent my first winter break vacation in decades working harder in a hospital, with longer hours, and fewer breaks, than I do when I work anesthesia full-time! Without compensation, and at a loss of about fifty dollars a day to the cafeteria, too. This patient was there for me all my life, and never questioned helping me in my need. It is my time to pay this life debt back...

If you are a caregiver, the most important guide I have for you is this: Love yourself! Love yourself completely and nourish your soul in whatever way you can. You are in survival mode. You cannot make mistakes. You are perfect. When the going gets rough, reach into your back pocket and pull out this gem that gets me through the toughest situations: I am burning off some Karma! Let's do this thing! Let's burn off some Karma!!! If you are stuck, you are stuck, but you might as well make the best of it.

Love and Light for you who put your own needs aside in the help of others. I feel with you this ache.
