Gaia News Brief 2.11.2014
Dr. Mom
I 'sense' it is time to let you know a little about me, and about my day I had today. Some people might think that I am 'special' or 'different', and I am not. The only thing I can say is that all in all I am about two years ahead in the awakening department than most people, and if I understand correctly, you won't need a whole two years to 'catch up'. Time is accelerating, and so is your growth. I am a pioneer, but not one of the first ones...there are many others before me who helped guide me...like my teachers Anne Reith, PhD, and Margaret Mc Cormick.
I am fifty years old. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California. I attended public schools my whole life. Father was an elementary school teacher. Mother stayed at home. I have a younger sister, Christina, who is about four and one half years younger than me. Mom had a 'change of life' baby when I was fourteen. This is my youngest sister, Vanessa.
I have been married twice. The father of my son asked if we should get married. I said I'd had bad luck with marriage--let's just stay together and see how it works. I really loved him.
He left, but has been involved with raising our boy. He found someone else when our boy was two. They moved in together. And it didn't work out. I am proud of myself for opening my heart to this woman, and for always keeping the best interest of the child as my first priority.
My mother is still alive. Her name is Nicki. She had bladder cancer in 2013. It was a very long year. My nana Angelina almost died and needed to be put into a long-term care facility right before mother got sick. And once mom had her surgery, my niece--who has a living related donor kidney transplant as a teen--had an episode of rejection for her kidney.
It was a lot of driving between Kaiser in LA, Loma Linda, and the high desert where Nana was located before we moved her closer to us. I am glad that year is over.
My birthday is July 7, and I enjoy everything that has to do with sunshine and summer.
From a very early age, I have had a passion for animals--and have had just about everything you could have for a pet, as my pet. I have had snakes, fish, hamsters, rats, mice, turtles, tarantulas, a bird, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats (even though I am allergic and it was short lived being a cat 'mom'--one ran away--Cleo--when I was a tot. The other I gave back to the pet shop in medical school.) My hobby is whale watching and dolphin watching. I travel just to see whales. I have seen grey whales, orcas, minke whales, risso dolphins, common dolphins, harbor porpoises, seals, sea lions, humpback whales...my dream is to one day see a fin whale.
My other dream is to have a goat, and be able to milk it. I've wanted this since I was in grade school. For some reason I can't understand or explain, I just LOVE goats and also drinking fresh goat milk.
I love horses, and I ride English saddle. My other hobbies are surfing, swimming, paddle boarding, and ballet..
Today I woke up in my scrubs. I had been first call last night. I take call from home, but I sleep in my scrubs because the nurse supervisor can wake me up and I have to drive in to do the anesthesia for emergency cases. My son was at his grandmother's house. So I woke up and saw sun and was thankful no one called me in!
I wrote today's News Brief. Then I just spent some time with Ross. We talk. We are close. And we have a happy relationship. He is the nicest person I have ever known. I feel his love, and kindness. He touches me, and I can feel it. It is like energy that touches me, and I can tell it is him, just as I would with anybody else.
It was picture day at basketball. I didn't go for that, just for the game. I learned the child is sick. But he played ball, and did well. I also learned that the father's family didn't want any pictures, except for the team picture, that is free. I went and found the place and ordered some. I think it is important for a child's self-esteem to have a recent photo of them doing something they enjoy that is BIG in their room. I learned this from photographer Ana Brandt.
Once home, I became Dr. Mom. I drew a warm bath, put eucalyptus salts in it, and had the boy soak. I asked more about the symptoms, and made sure there were no rashes. At his request, I made butternut squash soup from scratch, with squash I had grown in the garden. I made tea, herbal tea, for us both too.
Because my boy had threatened suicide due to school bullying last June, we go to the counselor once a week, each of us. I know a nurse who is a single mom, and for her, it was the same, for many years, but her daughter who is heavy and bullied like my son, has done well.
Last Tuesday I had to cancel my appointment because of a school project with a tight deadline. So today was the make-up. I REALLY wanted to cancel. But the counselor didn't get paid for my son's visit. I pay her for both when I go. So we went. It was good to talk to her. I appreciate her input when it comes to raising him. He is doing much better, and is cheerful now most of the time. He enjoys school.
I took him for ice cream after. And when we got home, he had a fever. I asked him, 'Can you name me ONE good reason why you shouldn't rest?' He is always alert, even when sick. This time, he couldn't think of one. So he napped, and I did the puzzle, my thousand piece one on the kitchen table, of a 'country manor'.
But I wasn't just working on the puzzle. I was using my anesthesia ears, and listening to his breathing. The respiratory rate was high as he was bundled up on the couch. I had a list in my mind of what could go on clinically, and what to do next. (my plan is viral illness, permitted fever, and lots of fluids, and REIKI : ))) )
I also 'picked up' he is going through a 'cleanse'--this has to do with a big energy upgrade. Although he's a Reiki Master, he doesn't really work at it, his spirituality. Many times physical symptoms like this happen at the same time as spiritual rapid growth spurts.
He woke up. I ordered a pizza. We watched a movie. Now he is in bed.
I smile because spirit told me to 'Do what YOU want to do!' today.
I had wanted to put away the Halloween decorations really nice.
They are still out.
You might wonder, 'how much Spirit went on with her today?'
A lot. In the shower. A meeting of sorts. Nothing much to share--I just laughed because the 'reception' is best in there for some reason. I saw people you would know if I mentioned them, but right now, I am speaking about my day, and this is all that is needed to be shared. I sent the healings to our readers with Ross when I was on my porch swing in the back yard. And I tended to the pages and blog. A new Divine Healing Code came through. I checked it. And added it to the list.
Ross
Carla is the same as you. She is a single mother who works to support herself and Anthony. Some days are better than others. She doesn't enjoy chores, but she does them as best as she can. She stopped 'pushing herself' to make the house 'pretty' some time ago--Carla watches her energy and cuts back now when she needs more rest.
Today threw her. It was a total curve ball for Anthony to get sick. She knew he was really having illness because she has had the feeling of 'coming down with something' herself. For two days.
Please note how Carla wrote about her day, for all this time, and never once mentioned how she is not well. She worries about Monday--who will watch Anthony--and she is totally prepared to go to work sick on Monday.
Many anesthesiologists go to work when they should be home in bed. Carla has thrown up in the toilet and gone back to do a case. She has spent lunch huddled under a blanket on the couch. And once in residency, as a surgery intern, she collapsed in the hall with fever while taking care of someone who was less sick than her.
The nurses came and helped her. It was tonsillitis. The on call ENT resident opened the clinic and got her samples of antibiotics.
She never went home. She kept working while she was sick.
When Carla had campylobacter, she finished her twenty four hour shift, putting in epidurals, while cramping and having diarrhea in the call room. At the end of her shift, she went straight to the ER and admitted herself.
What kind of world is this? Where doctors can't be sick in order to make the money for the surgeons and the hospital? Where a mother can't take time off to be with her son, to nurture him?
Reiki isn't a cure all. People still get sick. There are reasons for it.
The most important thing for you to know right now, is not to look for change. Carla used to look for it--for 'signs'--in the newspapers, in the alternative news. It was an 'if-then' type of thing. 'If' I see enough 'signs' that the Light is beating the darkness, 'then' I will know it is safe and I will enjoy what they have done for me to set us free.
(shakes a finger and shakes head to say 'no')
That is 3D.
There is no 'winning' a war like that.
In 5D we open our hearts and our minds and our bodies and our spirits to the energies of Unconditional, Unlimited LOVE from Source. We do this FIRST. Then the energies and the vibration on Gaia increase (lifts hand up to gesture), and then the old horrible ways are totally incompatible with 'what is'...
That is when the solutions take place, and the victory is complete. Because THEN and only then, all hearts are in 5D, where intuition is NORMAL, and kindness is the only option there is for most people because love and respect are normal and natural, every day ways to be.
Inside (gestures to heart) we all have our growth, our lessons, and we aren't perfect.
(smiles) But we 'aren't perfect' in 5D, not 3D, and imperfection in 5D is a much easier thing to overcome and live with than imperfection in 3D....isn't it?
This is why we say, 'Raise your Vibration'.
Carla's aura is more protective against the viruses because her vibration is higher. It's just like with Reiki--you heal faster, you throw it off.
If you are riding a bike, and you don't want it to wobble--you want it to go straight and almost effortless, what do you do? You pedal FASTER, right?
The same is true with the vibration, the energy. And your thoughts (points to head) are crucial to keeping the vibration UP--way more than eating gluten free or GMO--although diet and lifestyle is a good thing, it is the FOCUS, the general 'mind-set' that REALLY makes a difference in the quality of life you will experience. Head and heart working together, is the best way on earth to be...
This has been a long lesson. I want you to have time to digest it.
We have come a long way with these messages, haven't we, for me to be able to teach at the same level I once did when I walked the earth. (smiles and waves--he IS so handsome! --ed)

An Observation Inside The Healthcare System
The last time I worked anesthesia for labor and delivery, I was finishing up some charting, and wondering when the next anesthesiologist was going to show up to relieve me.
Sitting in a chair, on the edge of her seat, three computers down, was the ward clerk. She had worked all night, and I thought it was unusual of her to sit there instead of at the front desk.
Seven a.m. came about five minutes later.
She logged in to this computer time card system, clocked out, and literally RAN out the door!
The nurses have to do this on this little machine in the hall. There is one by the elevators, and another by the main O.R.
I see them waiting near it at the end of the day, waiting to go home. I also see people clocking in and out for lunch relief at the operating room too.
I have to admit, the only way I can do my twenty-four hour call, is to count down, just like this, in my mind, 'they can only hurt me for seventeen more hours...' all the way down to the end of my call shift.
Is this part, the 'running a business' for a profit or non-profit facility healthy?
I read an E.R. Doctor's column on 'Wellness' today--and he said, 'I hadn't seen the beach in one year. I live five minutes from the beach, and to see the ocean, all I have to do is look out my window. But with my stressful life, and busy schedule, I hadn't seen the ocean, or been to the beach, for a whole year.'
That is was started his search to seek wholeness and wellness in his life. He says it's like a sitting stool with three legs--one is sleep, the other is exercise, and the last is work. Without all three, you're not going to have a stable chair, or complete health.
He has a good point.
What do you think?

Medicine Of Tomorrow
What is the medicine of today?
Well, I practice it. I am a graduate of a US medical school. We practice 'evidence-based medicine'.
Who pays for the studies? Well, it's usually a big drug company that provides the 'evidence'...except in the case of Mangano who created his own research body, and proved that a drug was causing harm, and got it taken off the market for use in cardiac surgery.
Evidence, right? And medical research leads to new protocols, new treatments, and then in turn, to new technologies.
We also practice 'evidence based medicine' in that we do histories and physicals, asking for symptoms and searchings for 'signs' of the presence of disease. For example, you might present with the symptom of abdominal pain in the right lower quadrant of your abdomen (the appendix area).
We examine your abdomen at some point, starting at the area of least pain first. Then when we get to Mc Burney's point (one third the distance between the anterior superior iliac spine and the umbilicus--which is right over the appendix) we push once, and hard.
If you are in so much pain you practically jump off the table, the test for appendicitis is positive. And it is called a 'chandelier sign' because you practically hit the chandelier. Actually, any peritoneal signs of inflammation will probably cause a 'chandelier sign'. So in the past where we would proceed with exploratory surgery, now we get you scanned with ultrasound, CT or possibly MRI for other symptoms, and get an image that a radiologist says is 'positive' for appendicitis.
Then we cut.
We book emergency surgery.
Everything in medicine is 'evidence based', both in what leads us to our treatments, as well as the decision-making process to figure out what is the appropriate treatment to give.
Except for one thing: the intuitive process that is based on all of the patients the doctor has ever treated before, that base of experience and training, that leads to the clinical 'hunch' almost every doctor has in a given situation.
This is the medicine of the future.
It is understanding the energy body, how it works, and how imbalances (in energy work that are called Dis-Ease) lead to manifestation of disease in the physical body.
It is not 'mind over matter'. My father was a Religious Scientist. I went to church with him a lot, plus mom's Catholic church. 'Thoughts are Things!' they would say. It is true to a point. But really, what makes the whole thing work is 'Thoughts and FEELINGS are things!'
So both the physicians of the future and the patients are going to explore the thoughts and the emotions that accompany Dis-Ease. Dr. Bernie Siegel started this exploration in his cancer patients--noticing a pattern. Some want to die. Some want someone to heal them, or maybe, take a pill. And some are totally invested in getting well no matter what, and put one hundred percent of their effort into the process.
And as a sign, an unconscious sign of empathy and wanting to experience that 'rebirth' of his cancer patients, Dr. Bernie Siegel shaved his head.
He was 'connected' to his patients more than most.
He was a pioneer.
Doctors of the future will be spiritually robust, and trained to use their intuitive gifts in the care of their patients.
They will be taught in medical school about the energy body, and healing, of which Reiki is one method of working with this aspect of the human body.
Insurance companies will realize the incredible savings that are offered by people having good health. And all of the corruption that leads to others getting rich off the medical treatments, and medicines, will be taken OUT of the medical system.
People will not be stressed and exposed to environmental toxins like they are now, which weakens the aura and the body, making one susceptible to disease.
In the end, everyone will know, Science and Spirit are One Circle--both lead each into the other--for healing to take place.

Love Is Beautiful
This rose is in front of a church, which is near my favorite castle in all of France, Azay Le Rideau.
Right next to the stone wall, the effect is striking--living beauty against cold, man-made, ancient wall. It is an antique rose, you can tell by the petals. It has a good bloodline. It isn't something that could be sold by a florist...it is not 'that kind' of rose, and yet it is undeniably beautiful, is it not?
Let me tell you something about this rose, and why it is so fascinating. Here is the church:
It has an altar in traditional gothic style
There is a crucifix
Candles are lit...
...in petition to Our Lady
there is a baptism font
And little inverted, 'horns up' stars at the door
there are two doors on this church
the door on the left, facing the church, doesn't have stars
here it is, closed and locked
here is the stained glass window above it
Here is the stained glass window over the open door
and from the inside, looking out, there are the stars 'right side up'
this rose does a wonderful job for the Light
Be that rose
no matter what may be around you
and it might seem like you are surrounded
by everything that was built
for some purpose
that might not be Light,
Your Light Matters...
it matters to me
and to everyone else in your midst.
Be that Light
Embrace goodness, health and prosperity.
In time, stones can crumble,
but only roses LIVE!
You have good bloodlines,
you have no idea how good they are.
This is soon be be discovered,
You are like Heaven On Earth...
It is that wonderful!

Hawaiian Longs Drug Store
Nowhere is the life of the local people more evident than where they shop. On the shelf I saw Jellyfish Goo spray to ease the burning of jellyfish sting! A very large section of power bracelets and necklaces, including University of Hawaii logo ones, near the joint pain aisle. Just like the Kahuna days of long ago, with sophisticated gourds with goose neck shapes to use for enemas, the digestive remedy aisle at Long's was packed from the floor to the ceiling with healing for the gut.
What surprised me was the wound care supplies--as stocked as a medical supply store back home, or like a cabinet at my OR--gauze rolls, kerlex wrap, fluffs, four by fours, ABD pads that are thick to absorb drainage, Vaseline gauze (xeroform), cling wrap, ace wrap, and every kind of tape.
A couple of things stand out--the section on Hawaiian tropical floral lotions, soaps, and fragrances. The aisles with local food items ...there are shelves packed with soy sauces and barbecue sauces as much on display as the stomach remedy section. There are Asian foods, the real ones, taking a whole aisle with noodle, candy, spices, and condiments. I look for the familiar Rooster Sauce I love, a red pepper dressing made by Sriacha, and I put it in the cart. We are at a friend's vacation home in Kapolei for one week, but I can't leave home without it!
On the way to dinner at a local favorite, Zippy's, I wince as I see the brightly lit sign Kapolei Dialysis. Nearly all Chinese I know, including a close Taiwanese friend and colleague, have diabetes and hypertension. Am I the only one to make the connection between the chopstick, the hypertension, the diabetes, and the dialysis? This is a slow kill with the intent to extract as much moneyoutof the patient as possible before the end--and that is not cheap too, the funeral!i recall the times my friend took me to 99 Ranch Market deli, and how I did not share his delightin any way for the smoked duck...and other salty sweet delicacies.
I used to like Zippy's. Last year I got saimin bowl and was happy. This time I 'saw' the health on the menu with wide open eyes. My strawberry salad was not organic, the dressing was oily sugar, the vegan chili had GMO corn, and my last thing to go 'cheat' wafer thin single slice of spam. I love spam! Oh how I've missed it! I watched my boy have chocolate shake, New York steak, and corn. I kept glancing at the ninety pound preschool boy with the long Hawaiian hair, jumping in the booth across the way, gnawing ona malasada (Portuguese donut pastry), and with my doctor's heart, know he never had a chance to escape the island slow-kill plan of death by fork.
Mitraic symbols are rampant in the architecture. They built it up brick by brick so carefully, leaving the signs to pat themselves on the back.
When is everyone going to wake up? Big sigh. Until they do I'll just keep blogging.
Now it's time to make myself a cup, Organic Island Coffee cup of Joe.

Why I Don't Have a Life ; )
I am in the active practice of Medicine. My specialty is Anesthesia. I am a board-certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist. It took five years of undergraduate work to get my major in Chemical Engineering. I worked and saved money for more time before applying to Medical School. The application process is not cheap! You have to pay for the MCATs and you also have to pay for the applications and all of your travel to interviews. Once I was admitted, I spent four years pursuing my MD degree, followed by five years in Residency (one as Chief Resident) and one more in Cardiac Fellowship.
At the time of my training, Residents were encouraged to 'put the patient first' and therefore be a 'good doctor'. Long hours were encouraged! The reason that I left my surgery residency and 'switched' is that I was so busy I had given up time for family but I also lost time for going to church on Sundays. That was just too much of myself to be giving up.
Now, Residents have work hour limits that are enforced quite stringently by 'the powers that watch those things'. Attendings do not have any work hour limits whatsoever.
I blog. I used to wake up at four in the morning and go on the treadmill in my home (busy doctors don't have time to go to the gym, they buy gym equipment). Now I go straight to the computer.
Then in the mornings I tend to the needs of the family and the house. Laundry, lunches, breakfast, searching for items for show and tell, etc. Mornings are always a race against the clock and the number one thing I am looking to disappear after the Ascension Process!
Once in a while, at work we have meetings for the entire department that works in the O.R. The last one, surgeons complained about the 'turnover times'. After a surgeon walks out of the room, they sit in the lounge. I wake the patient up, the bed comes in, we take them to recovery. One minute after I leave the room, cleaning crew comes in. The scrub tech takes out all the dirty instruments and readies a cart for clean ones. The floor is scrubbed. The new case gets set up once everything is clean and new (my circuit for breathing on the anesthesia machine, suction, are all new). There is hardly any time to eat or take care of your body functions, never mind a phone call, since the new patient has to be evaluated prior to surgery in pre-op holding.
I asked my boss, in private, 'What do we sell?'. He looked at me like I was from Jupiter--he is so ingrained in the system. 'We sell Health. Wouldn't you agree?' (he nods yes). "Well, assuming the turn over times decrease, when are we going to eat?' (many times 'lunch' doesn't come until three p.m., and the last meal before it was five a.m.) He explained his way of going from PACU to the Doctor's Dining Room, getting a box and eating what he can after seeing the patient first and leaving the box in the Doctor's Lounge. He said, it's easy. Well, sometimes there is a four hour case to do after getting a few bites out of that box! LOL. 'Do you exercise? I don't. I don't get enough sleep. Do you? How can we be in the business of selling health?'. I knew that I made my point because he stopped talking and relaxed--and that as a man in his sixties, he will have to face the price of this lifestyle sooner rather than 'later'.
Oddly enough, it is this lifestyle that puts me in place for fascinating Reiki advancements. The circulating nurse is interested in taking one of my Reiki classes. She came to me during the long case while the patient was stable and things were going well, and asked me about Reiki. I shared about Usui, Hayashi, and Takata. She gasped at the story of Takata jumping off the O.R. table and cancelling her surgery! I gave her a copy of Reiki News, and she came back to me several minutes later saying, 'I had this happen to me!--contact from beyond with the smell of roses--it was in the car and all her family had to roll down the windows it was so strong!' She is one of the next 'phases' of Lightworkers starting to 'wake up' and doesn't realize it. I do. Right now, my 'wave' is strengthening--my buddies from Psychic Development classes from a few years ago--and we are the 'support' for the newer ones.
I had two chances to be relieved from my case last night. I declined them. I promised the patient I would be there for them. I gave the personal touch. I exchanged time spent with family (from six to nine at night) to be there with the patient. This is what makes Private Practice great. We go out on a limb for you.

For My Colleagues
Native American Healing Product: note 'depression' is the most sought after remedy...
You are my heroes, my mentors, the ones I emulate with every bit of my training in anesthesia. You are my colleagues and my friends. I have worked with you in surgery almost every day for twenty-years. Together we have saved the lives of many. Together we have laughed and we have cried. We have worried about our livelihood at times, with all the changes to health care as we have known it, being cast out as 'doctors' and recast as 'anesthesia providers' and 'healthcare providers' by the bean-counters in hospital administration and the insurance industry at large.
I was both excited and enthusiastic about the week that I just spent with you at conference. I enjoyed hearing what you had to say. I knew all those four one-hour lectures took much time to put together, from research to making the slides in your power point presentations.
My take-away from this conference is that you are willing and able to explore the possibility that 'as we were trained' and 'as usual' management of patients might have some gaps in light of new information gathered from cutting edge research. You have forged bonds with your surgeons and your neonatologists, vital lifelines of communication branching out across the borders of 'hospital turf' for the better care of your patients. Your hearts were open, minds working actively in great focus--to put together what you know so that we may go home and take better care of our patients back home.
As I sat in my conference seat, turning pages of the syllabus as you spoke, and writing notes in the margins like I used to do at school...I both welcomed the familiarity and smiled inwardly at the irony of it all: what you can't see and what you can't measure is the coming trend in taking care of health.
Let me repeat: the unseen, which represents the ninety percent of the brain we do not 'use', is the Next Frontier of Medicine. Watching your Mastery over the ten percent 'that we can establish in a random-double-blinded study, or a meta-analysis' is both admirable and sad.
There is a beautiful world out there ahead of you to discover! I have learned, with pure delight:
- I get the big picture.
- I talk with patients on a soul-level while they are asleep.
- I am committed to the Highest Good that is obtainable in that Therapeutic Relationship.
- I work in partnership with Spirit, Intuition, and Light.
- I am a better person, a happier one, and a Healer instead of a 'technician' in my work.
Medicine right now is in the Dust Bowl of Oklahoma in the Great Depression in the 1930's.
Medicine is headed for the lushest, most gorgeous tropical Utopia, right around the corner...
People have been hiding things from us. You know the part about 'half of everything you ever learned in Med School is antiquated by the time you graduate, but they do not know what half, so you have to learn it all while you are there?'--there are technologies that have far surpassed our Journals, that have been 'not shared' by the Illuminati and the Anunaki with the rest of the world. In fact, these 'groups' have been doing everything possible to keep us away from our own innate healing capability. It is going to shock you when you find out, when you are 'waking up'.
People everywhere are excited about a new tomorrow in Health. Note that I do not call it, 'the Health Care Industry'. This is going to start with an increase in the Level of Consciousness of the Collective Consciousness. Then it is going to get more 'experiential' with Energy Medicine. Just as acupuncture and yoga have become 'mainstream', 'auras' and 'chakras' and 'physical manifestation' are coming down the 'pipeline'. Patients are going to look to us for guidance and reassurance in their self-empowerment and new-found health. It is going to good for everyone, and you might find you have some time to enjoy your hobbies that you have given up in the taking care of patients all your adult life...
I couldn't educate you at conference. You were not ready. But in my clinical judgement, you are very, very close to the level of Compassionate Awareness that is right around the bend. I forsee that the future is bright for all of us.
Who ever really wants to be sick? Isn't it time we made strides away from disease and hardship?
I know that I used your names in a prior blog post. You are my heroes and I deeply respect you. But if you ever Google yourself, and find that post, it is my hope that you will soon come across this. I am waiting to help you rediscover that which you already know and have always felt at Truth about Medicine within your hearts. This new energy is going to steep in and invigorate health care as we know it today...
