Cancer Wake-Up Call

For those of you who have experienced cancer, know that you are my favorite patient. My heart naturally fills with lovingkindness when I work with you. It is my honor and life's work to assist you.

Here is a film link on the harsh realities of cancer industry. The individual practitioners usually care a lot like I do-- but the system of treating it, and the medicines, do not pass the 'follow the money' test. It is not for the highest good and to relieve suffering, it is to make money, pure and simple, and put it into the hands of the cabal.

Here is my comment I posted on the website for the movie:

Thank you. I blog anonymously under the pseudonym Reiki Doc. I treat my cancer patients with Reiki while I give them anesthesia in surgery. I encounter many imbalances in the energy field of each patient, which I clear. Many of my patients, who do not know I am giving Reiki, love my energy and request my services again if they have follow-up surgery. The reason I am writing to you is that a colleague at work found a cure for cancer in PhD project. It was an antibody from a mouse, very cheap and easy to make. He did not understand 'why the drug companies showed no interest'. He switched to become an internal medicine doctor instead. An ER Doc told me an oncologist got upset a newly admitted patient died without his being called for a consult. Even though the cancer was end of life end stage, the oncologist was upset because he could have given one dose of chemo and billed for it in the short time between admission and death. This is the reality of our medicine, it needs change. Now. Namaste.

And here is the movie link itself:

Au Secours!

Moose is the Totem for Strength

I got out of work today before two. That used to be the time all of us in anesthesia went home--start early in the morning and finish by two. Then you could go to the beach! Well, today I left, but everyone else is still stuck there till way past dinner.

Spirit guided me to the local health food market to buy some fresh fruit. Once I got there, a wave of sleepiness overwhelmed me. I did my thing I love to do: I went in the back seat, covered myself with a blanket, used the pillow, and took a nap in the car. The sun was very bright, and streamed in through all of the windows and both sunroofs. I had wanted a Cayenne but when I went car shopping I was appalled how inside it was so dark! My car, a Mercedes E350 station wagon lets in so much light it is almost like being outside, and I adore this.

While I slept, strange sensations tingled all over my body. I was getting an energy upgrade. That is how it works, with spirit and the Ascension process. Download, upgrade, physical changes...rest to assimilate, then repeat. Exposure to sunlight is important in this; more information can 'get in'.

When I got up, I went to the local drug store. I smiled because ever since I was a child I loved drug stores. In my nana's neighborhood there was the pharmacist Bill, who would always make a big fuss over me. When I am emotionally 'down', that is where I go, any local drug store. I just wander around looking at things until I feel better. That is how I self-soothe, or used to.

This time was different. Much different. I could see--my consciousness did not 'buy' the 'status quo' this time. I saw it with new eyes. This is what I 'saw':
  • The scary Jesus in the bathroom. No, I was not hallucinating. Someone had tacked up a picture to scare the heck out of me and buy my belief with random quotes from the Bible at the bottom. It was a photocopy, and the eyes were really strange. I 'smelled fear-mongering' and 'control'. The REAL Jesus is handsomer than a movie star. And radiates such warmth and light. There is no doubt for one second who he is--and that He knows everything there is about you and loves you no matter what. But the image of scary Jesus set the tone for the rest of the store.
  • I followed the money. This is by a major retirement facility. Imagine that the store layout was a pie chart, with the amount of retail space dedicated to what sells best. The biggest slice would be Pharmacy--prominently located in the back of the store, with aisles and aisles of over the counter paraphernalia. Next came Alcohol, with one full aisle for liquor, both sides, top to bottom, in BIG bottles. The next aisle over was for Wine. After that was Makeup/Beauty/Personal Care, Incontinence supplies, and Family Planning--all of them were right next to each other and I laughed at the human condition of it all. In the middle was a 'slice' of Stuff For the Grandkids--cards, Easter candy. I smiled at the 'Cadillac of Shopping Carts' by the door for only $19.99. This my friends, is a well-planned out means to extract money from the population and at the same time keep the general Vibration DOWN.
  • The old chinese lady in front of me, with the nasty long toenails, Tory Burch bag, and Dior sunglasses, sent not one but TWO money grams. With cash. The first was for $550 (cost $573 to sent) and the second was $150 (cost $167 to send). The clerk knew her. She had done this every week. She smiled an apologized for the wait as she started her second one. I just watched, taking it all in. It was fascinating.
  • I bought sunscreen sticks for the kids. They hate to wear sunscreen. I have tried the sprays and I have tried the lotions with no success. When they were little I would not have been surprised if someone called the authorities on me the way they howled when I put that stuff on. I have seen the reports--I forget the name--but apparently these sticks are 'bad'. But my thirty dollar Lavera I bought at Target last year was crappy. It streaked and was greasy and made me white in the face. I know a good product when I see one. Our friends in the Natural Products business need to step it up. My dish soap was awful, my dishwashing detergent packets formed a lump of blue goo at the bottom of the dishwasher instead of working properly, and I noticed the surfactants in my 'Lorax-promoted' Seventh Generation High Efficiency detergent are exactly the same as the ones I used in product development fresh out of college. Not plant based. They were petrochemicals. Read the labels, and don't get fooled into using sub-optimal products just because you think they are helping the environment. Shop around all of the labels until you find one that is Green AND works for you.
  • The overhead music was filled with advertisements. It was horrible. Every other song was an ad.
Au Secours! was given to me by Spirit as I walked through the parking lot to the drug store. Here is what it means: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/au_secours

Next I went to buy the fruit at my local market. Here are some thoughts about that:

  • You have to hunt between Organic and not organic. They are labeled on the produce, but the word for Not Organic is like, a euphemism. I think today it was 'conventional'.
  • Today I asked myself when I looked at the products that were available, 'Is this from Nature?' A lot of products were not. Although I adore the taste of Teriyaki soy steak that is sold like jerky and cost six dollars a bag, it seems highly processed. I am on the fence about 'fake meats' now.
  • The Vitamin and supplement aisle is the money maker for the store. (Just like at the drug store, oui, n'est-ce pas?) The stock is endless supply. I recognized the pills I had been given for my headache. I think they were mushroom. Anyhow, although the sales people are highly knowledgeable, if you have any medical history whatsoever, in particular, liver or kidney disease, you might want to check with somebody in a medical field (naturopath, DO, chinese medicine, or someone like me) first before you add some of these supplements to the mix.  There is chance of interaction with drugs you are on, and also, that your clearance of the drug might not be normal due to your condition. Be safe. Be smart. Be wise. You only have one body, mother used to say; might as well take good care of it.
  • On second thought, ask somebody AND use your intuition/Reiki guidance. That is the safest way to be, all around.
  • There are two ways to grow old. The pharmacy way. And the health-food store way. But either way, you are not getting any younger. The difference is in your VIBRATION. Higher Vibration = Health, maybe not in body exactly, but you are more than a body, so keep that Vibration UP.
Here is the reason why I was sent. There are no chance meetings!

man in parking lot:  you look familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?
me: um. no.
man: Are you sure?
me: I work in a hospital. Maybe you know me from there. I hope not though, for your sake.
man: what is your name?
me: (I tell him)
man:  My name is Dan. (he is very large and very Jewish). Where do you work?
me: (I tell him)
Dan:  (tells me a horror story about his mother. He calls one particular chain of hospitals 'nazi euthanasia plants'. He goes on and on about how the hospital realized his ninety-two year old mother wasn't rich or profitable, and had a meeting where there was no opportunity to oppose the 'plan of care' for 'comfort'. The administrators knew that his brother was weaker psychologically, divided and conquered. His mother was kidnapped--his words--to a new nursing home because of the 'inability to pay'. He said that 'inability to pay' was a civil matter, not a criminal one, and the police should not have been involved. He said his mother said the caregivers kept asking her about her money. When they figured out that there was no money 'on record', they changed the course towards euthanasia--as he says, a medically-assisted death. Tell everyone FAR and WIDE today what I told you!.

And so I am.

Did you know that some oncologists are upset when a patient is admitted through the ER with such advanced cancer that they die before the oncologists have a chance to pump some expensive chemotherapy drugs into them? Even when the prognosis is poor and they know the patient is soon going to die?

Did you know that utilization of Hospice in Medicare patients has gone up three hundred percent in the last few years? It is a BIG money maker for the long-term care facilities.

Did you know the friendly nurse at nana's place, a personal friend of my sister, abruptly changed her interactions with me around the time nana started to take a 'turn for the worse' and 'go in decline'? This was right before the 'Hospice' 'extra layer of care' was suggested by the doctor. She couldn't look at me. She knew how to 'follow the money' and 'what was up'. My sister and I, at the family meeting, politely declined Hospice on the basis that nana was already a soft DNR, and she liked her caregivers.

Did you know that I believe Dan with his conspiracy theory about collusion on the part of the health care business, the police, and the politicians?

'Being old is a full-time job' mother said to me, with a sigh.

She is right. The system, like Dan says, treats you like a race horse. When it can no longer win, it is sent out to stud and make some new money making babies. When it has lost the desire to reproduce, it is off to the glue factory.  It is like chickens that no longer lay eggs and are turned into broth. Without the aged, hospitals would not exist. And when there is no more money to be had off a patient, here comes the morphine in the name of 'comfort', according do Dan.

As a physician, I have seen the 'morphine drip' in action. Basically, the attending physician deems a medical problem as 'going to make you die'. And when the problem gets worse, with the patient's consent, the morphine drip is begun. You dial it up higher over time, until the patient stops breathing, gets cardiac arrest, and passes. One day I was a medical student, bright and happy in my new work, and I remarked to a patient, 'a beautiful day, isn't it?'. He gruffly said, 'I don't agree' and explained today he was going to die. His COPD was end-stage, there was no lung transplant in the works, and they were turning on the morphine drip with the consent of his Durable power of attorney. He was angry, bitter, and afraid. I didn't know what to say to him, except a quiet, 'I am so sorry'.

Follow the money.

You'll be glad you did.

Reiki Doc

An Inside Job

I have dreamed to be a physician since I was four. At that time, most girls with a career interest were groomed to become teachers or nurses. I have never wavered in my desire to become a physician.

I went against my parents wishes and got accepted into a School of Medicine. They did not want for me the lifestyle and the loss of the best years of my life, as they called it. I paid for my M.D. myself.

I took on a lot of debt. I spent long nights busy studying for an exam. I spent sleepless nights learning the trade side-by-side with my colleagues in the hospital at the medical center. I liked it so much, I chose to return and be a teaching doc, an academic physician, in the field of Anesthesiology, which was my dream since I was in undergraduate training.

It is important for the changes in Medicine come from within. Why is this?

As a physician, I do not trust someone that has not paid their dues like me. I do not respect any consultant whatsoever. And people who have once been docs and now have websites and a following but do not set foot in a hospital or touch and actual patient? As far as I am concerned they are not physicians like me. End of story.

They sold out. Anyone who has a 'center' that is named after them, where people can go on retreat and meditate, is not a working doc. They are making money off their Alternative Whatever That Is Popular. They are not like the majority of working docs who are too tired out to fill out their reappointment application to their place of work every two years.

There are some, that left the field of medicine. I am sorry. I don't care if you keep your medical license current or not. If you have not done cases and seen patients, you are not going to be allowed to recertify in your specialty. You can't. You would have to go back to work, in a hospital, and how would you get back if for years you had not done anything surgical? You would not even have a referral base.

It is a one-way street, and the lay person does not know that the majority of folks that they look up to are 'former' practicing physicians but are now 'M.D.'s' in name only. (Mona Lisa Schultz M.D. is the first exception that comes to mind. There are certainly other exceptions.)

There is a story that goes with each one of them: Dr. So-and-So has been psychically gifted since youth. They come from a psychic family. After training to be a doctor, they left a career to find their TRUE CALLING, that of giving hope and inspiration to people like you.

That is fine. If that is your calling, I am okay with it. Only do not come to me and expect me to give you street credibility when in fact in my view you do not. And I am Reiki Doc! Can you imagine what the others who are more conventional than me are going to think when they are approached by someone like you?!?

Does this make sense? Is it logical? How can M.D.'s who are actually taking care of patients motivate themselves to change how they care for these patients from someone who never has to work a night or holiday or see blood all over their shoes like me? It doesn't make sense for us to ask this of them.

And that is exactly what the doctor-maligning community of Energy Medicine is almost 100% about.
Take away Conventional Medicine! Primitive Mothers in 100% natural childbirth! No drugs to offend my delicate sensibilities! Needles are okay for acupuncture but not for immunizations or blood tests or i.v.'s!

I ask of you, why is there such urge to throw the baby out with the bathwater? Why is the general dissatisfaction with the not-so-good parts of medicine driving emotional pleas to scrap the entire system that we have in place? Does it not do some good? I know for a fact once my fibroid was resected I felt so much better!

If you ever have been really sick, you know at once your's doctor's gift of training is priceless in that they can help you in your plight.

I have been that sick. I had a pituitary tumor that was giving me headaches. My team was amazing, very professional, and in my being exposed to them, I came upon the strength to pursue my dream of being a physician against my parent's wishes.

The way I see it, there are two means to achieve this goal of bringing energy healing into conventional Medicine:

1) through the desire of the doctor, nurse, or other worker in the field: Pamela Miles has done this in an effective way. She taught herself how to 'speak doctor' and gain credibility in the medical community with her Reiki Work. She trains others how to interact effectively with working health care providers. Already there are workers, volunteers typically, that offer Reiki treatments to patients. Some docs notice the benefits and request it for their cancer patients. It will take time and lots of exposure to it, to get the docs/RN's/others to try it for themselves. Or to be awakened and hear their calling. It will take a few hardy souls with very thick skin to get into the system. Something is in place that is 'mainstream' that is called 'The Healing Touch'. It is nursing-driven, but a method much like Reiki. But it is not well-known in the Conventional Medicine Community. We need something to reawaken the Healers within the healing arts to bring about the acceptance of Energy Medicine as a specialty itself. I think of it somewhat like Interventional Radiology, imaging and healing in one step.

2) through the desire of the patient and the patient's family: the best way to bring it into the conventional system is to ask for it! Talk about the Elephant in the Room! To take your Reiki with you into the hospital when you go. To be Reiki-trained yourself, and to be a continuous source of Reiki wherever you go. Anything it takes to raise the vibration, and to assist those like me who are at the front lines of this healing trend. I know for a fact that once I started Reiki training, a whole new side of me as a healer opened up.  I am more patient, compassionate, and willing to hold a hand or listen or offer a word or hope in my busy day. Isn't it worth it to do whatever it takes to bring the Healer back into Healthcare?

To achieve success, it is the heart center of the healers that will have to be activated. Going through the mind may open an opportunity, but only the heart center awakening is going to achieve the change that is so desperately needed in Conventional Medicine today.

In the future, everyone will take Energy Healing for granted. Right now we are at a standstill: conventional medicine is about as far as it is going to get. Everyone in the field is comfortable. to the point of complacency. The emergence of Alternative Medicine has not changed much about what we do at the Office or Hospital in the practice of Conventional Medicine. We who read these words are going to have to be like Rosa Parks that will keep their seat on the segregated bus. Doesn't it sound archaic--segregation? But it was once a way of life.

By the way, I am NO Martin Luther King! But I am honest in my assessment of the status quo. And I know what it is like to be a patient who is also a physician to bridge the gap between two realms of expectations.

The hook of Energy Medicine is the ease and speed and accuracy of diagnosis through the scanning of the sick. The hands of a Reiki practitioner are the way to sense an imbalance in the aura before it ever shows up on the body.

Our society will have to respect this, and allow for time for patients to return to balance and healing, when they are 'early sick'. Push this trend to the natural end point, and surgery will become a thing of the past. Pill-popping will be passe. There will be no more calls in the middle of the night to wake the healers up! And all will be healthier and happier as a result.

Will you take that first step? Will you find a class and take that Reiki 1? You can't do it from a book.

Spirit is guiding you.

Reiki Doc

What to Expect: An Energetic Look at Anesthesia

So you need surgery? Not a problem. You are going to feel better  in the long run. Let's do what I do best and take you through the steps on the day of surgery.

Waking Up and Getting to the Hospital:

Conventional Medicine Says: Do not eat or drink after midnight. If you take medication in the mornings, take it with barely enough water to get the pills down. Do not take insulin or blood sugar lowering medication. Seizure and blood pressure medication is most important not to miss. (This is to decrease risk of aspiration of gastric contents into the lungs during anesthesia). Candy, mints, and gum all increase risk of saliva production, and aspiration risk. Stay on the up and up and do not eat.

Reiki Doc Says:  Know that you have everything packed and ready to go. Relax. Take everything one step at a time. The Universe might have some Blessings to surprise you. Thank your Angels, Guides and Deceased Loved Ones at this time. They know what you are having done, and shall be with you when your Live Angels and Loved Ones cannot. Trust that your team is made up of Healers, who are doing what they have been Born to Do. It is their Calling.

Checking In:

Conventional Medicine: This is the business part. There are a lot of forms and insurance protocol. That band that they put on your arm is for your safety. The latest protocol is to confirm your identity by having you state your name and date of birth before every procedure and medication that is given. Be sure to tell about your allergies and adverse reactions, even to adhesive tape. Ask for an interpreter or AT&T interpreter services by telephone. Family members sometimes omit important information to spare you when placed in the translator role.

Reiki Doc Says: You are feeling the energy of the system taking control. Let it. It is easier to float downstream than swim against the current. Let go. You are you. Even without jewelry, makeup, and in a hospital gown. Enjoy the company of your loved ones. Note how much they care about you, and smile.

Pre-Op Holding:

Conventional Medicine: They help YOU prepare yourself for surgery. They start the i.v., have you wipe the surgery site with special scrubby wipes, and have the surgeon mark where the surgery is to be done. There is a lot of pressure on everyone involved to be efficient. They may not show it like you expect, but they care and want you to have a safe and pleasant experience. Anesthesia will offer you a choice, to partially numb and relax, or to go to sleep. Take their suggestion. And be clear about what you do when you party and how often, for your comfort may be compromised if you took a hit of medical marijuana on the way in and keep that knowledge only to yourself. All drugs can mix.

Reiki Doc Says: Feel safe here. Enjoy the warming blanket, although mine was too hot and I had to have the blower lowered. This is the last you will remember, if you ask. If you do not want to lose control, ask to skip the relaxing medicine until you are in the O.R. You still have some control at this point. Very few die in the Operating Room. Usually those who are so sick as to not know they are there are the ones. Prepare yourself for a profound healing experience, both conventional and energetic. You are going to be amazed when you wake up.

O.R.:

Conventional Medicine: Here is where all the technology available to man is in place for your benefit. Methods seem archaic and brutal, but actually they are quite advanced over 50-100 years ago. Many people have gone through this before you. They are all practice. Let go and Trust.

Reiki Doc Says:  If you are lucky, someone will take advantage of the weakness in your aura to protect and strengthen you at this time (like me). If you can, ask for Reiki from a distance to be delivered to you at this time. Ask that you do not pick up any energies from the healers in the room that are not From the Light.  (I woke up annoyed. At everything. That is not like me. I think I picked this up from my surgeon, who has a lot going on at home. It was only a week later, after asking St. Michael to clear and sever any ties to anything I shouldn't be tied to etherically, that I felt myself again.)

PACU:

Conventional Medicine: No you can't eat! Have some ice chips. Make sure to get your pain under control while you are here. The RN's are best at pain treatment in this part of the hospital. The personalities of the nurses here are varied, and pleasant. Relax and enjoy. You are through with surgery. Try to go to the bathroom and get urine out if you can before you are released from PACU.

Reiki Doc Says: You are at your most vulnerable at this time. Set your expectations low, and go with it. Trust that your normal energy and lifestyle are coming back in due time. Learn the lesson of the  healing that is before you. And ask your Angels, Guides and Deceased Loved Ones for help along the way.

Outpatient:

Conventional Medicine: The car ride home is going to be brutal, but at the end you get your nice warm bed. Be preemptive on pain medication, nausea medication, and stool softeners. Listen to your body as it heals. Slow down and take it easy for a while. And NO big decisions until the next day, the anesthesia might make you choose something you might regret in the morning.

Reiki Doc Says: Give your body time to rest and heal, including the aura. Sleep is most beneficial at this time. Enjoy flowers, and anything else that might comfort and support you. If visitor energy is too much for you, politely decline phone and house visitation until you are feeling your best. Take naps!

Inpatient:

Conventional Medicine: Do not assume that everything is going to go smoothly. Be ready to ask and ask for what you need, and if you can, have someone there to ask on your behalf. There is a lot lost in translation between what your doctor wants and what you actually get. Everything is negotiable, pain medication, nausea, itching relief--only if you ask. And do not eat what is on your tray unless your body wants it. You might get a regular diet but your stomach is not ready. Ask for assistance in getting around. And walk, walk, walk as much as possible.

Reiki Doc Says: This is the hardest energetic part of all. You are weak. Your family may help and they may have dysfunction. My nurses were making mistakes left and right, but I had to keep the peace and let them think they were wonderful. There is only so much you can do. If there is allergy and they want to give something that will set it off, throw a fit. But otherwise, a word to those in the know: you better have a bull horn and a cattle prod to get a floor nurse to come help you. I had to call their cell on the phone in the room. Nurses are overworked, tired, and want to make it through to the end of their shift. They are not Florence Nightingales. They are Florence Nightingales who spend more time at the hospital than they should, being worked by a system to make a profit. I picked up hostility and annoyance from my nurses, who were sweet and trying but deep down there was lots of discontent. The solution to everything is LOVE. Be Love, demonstrate gratitude, and make them laugh. And share chocolate. (Nothing makes them happier than to send you home. Do not take this personal. Once home you will be much happier too.) Self Reiki. Get Reiki. Put in your time and make it home. And Sunlight helps, too. Try to get some every day. About ten minutes.

Do not be afraid for the time it takes to recover. Both physical healing and energy healing require time to be absorbed by the system. Enjoy Nature, and the comfort of familiar faces. This too shall pass.

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

The Difficult Patient

Reiki is unique in that it heals without taking out energy from the healer. It 'flows through'. That being said, not all patients are equal. Some require more handling, some less. And how they act with you on the surface may have no bearing on the state of their energetic system. There is personality, consciousness, physical state, and transference from the patient to the healer to address. Here is what I do to keep me at the top of my game in the healing arts.

It all starts with you. Are you a healer? Do you have a calling? Do you take care of hurt animals and plants and get them better? Do people come to you with their problems out of respect for your success with managing their problems in the past? Are you one of those people who, like it or not, are drawn to the healing professions so much that you likely wouldn't be happy doing anything else, like sales or marketing? Some people are healers. It is their calling, and their interest and passion will lie in service to their fellow beings in this life. You don't have to be a 'healer' to do Reiki, but if you are, it really really helps you in your practice with the public when you interact with them.

What is inside of you? What are your predominant thoughts? Are they worldly? You will know. Daily meditative practice, be it Qi Gong, Yoga, Crossword puzzles, a sport that you do regularly, playing a musical instrument..anything to take your mind off the moment and allow you to 'connect' with your Higher Power/Source/God/ Spirit will give you a foundation for healing that will stabilize you in your interactions with others. Practice such as this will allow you to process your interactions and release any issues that may have come up with earlier days at work for you. You don't want to carry those around to the next day.

Are you present? Did you brush your hair and teeth? Did you take a shower? Did you get a good nights' sleep? Do you smoke? Patients are going to smell it on you. It is not so much what kind of image you project, rather it is your level of mental, emotional, spiritual and physical comfort at work. If your shoes hurt and your clothing is tight and you are thinking about when you can take your next break, it will affect you and the patient. When I was in residency, I was surprised at how often I was sicker than my patients! They do not know, or care, and take your time anyhow. The more you can buoy yourself up, and be in a good position to take care of others, the easier it will be on both the healer and the patient.

Do you smile? To a patient that means so much--an open heart and mind for healing. If your inner state is one of joy from living with Purpose of helping others, they will catch it. It is infectious, a light heart! The healing, apart from whatever your training and why the client comes to you, begins when your aura begins to interact with theirs.

Speaking of auras, there are some things you can do with yours to protect you:
1) shield yourself. This needs to happen two or three times a day. Your choices are (pick up to three)-
     a) white light
     b) pink light (love)
     c) green light (healing, love)
     d) violet light (very high energy)
     e) gold light (archangels)
     f) lead (nothing can pass through--might slow down your psychic ability a bit temporarily)
2) Remove your own attachments (negative entities and dark entities and implants. see www.margaretmccormick.com for details)
3) have a golden mesh shield permanently installed in your aura to prevent future attachments

I had the work done with Margaret and it gives 'insurance' that my life energy is for me, not some energetic parasite. And that no matter what my patient gives, it is going to stay that way. I am safe, energetically.

Drop your baggage. Many times a patient/healer interaction is going to 'stir something up'. Work through your past, your life lessons, and try to come from a position where ego does not play a role in the healing process. It will be easier for everyone involved. Ego is counterproductive to the healing process.

Be yourself. Your feelings, your emotions, your insights are valuable to use in the healing process. Through practice, you will learn how to play them up in their best light with the person at hand. With smokers, for example, one doc at the VA used to play hardball with them when they would give a barrage of excuses, 'what!? do you think I am stupid (to believe all that)?'. It would disarm the patient, with military-style humor and truth, and the healing discussion could start after that. This method would fail miserably in a different context somewhere else.

Take small breaks. Everything you do to take care of yourself, be it a cracker and some juice in two minutes, will fortify you to perform in the healing environment. Lately I just like to get a little sun, maybe ten minutes. When colleagues see me I tell them 'I am making some vitamin D'. Sunlight really helps to clear out the energy I pick up when working with patients, especially on L&D.

Know that your time of service will end. Your shift is a finite number of hours. You will be home to rest and recharge. But in a greater sense, your time as a healer will end. Your will wind down your career, and likely become a patient yourself. Remember that it is not forever, and enjoy your chance to make a positive impact of others through their lives.

Have a sense of humor and reach out to other caregivers. The one that 'makes your head spin' when you interact with them is likely to have been a hurricane of emotional and energetic destruction to others in their path through the hospital. You are not imagining it. Get a reality check ASAP.

You are not going to heal them like the evangelical preacher that says 'put your hand on the TV and you will WALK again!'. It isn't instant in the medical field, or anywhere else for that matter. There are factors going into it, and the energetic imbalance that led to illness did not happen in one day. You are, however, in the position to have a positive effect on the overall balance between negative and positive in your patient's perception. Try to tip it, tip the balance just somewhat toward the Light. The effect may take days, weeks, or years for the fruit of your interaction to take place. Plant the seed and trust that everything is happening for the best. Know that your work is appreciated very much, on both sides of the veil, by your patients, and by the guides that watch over both of you.

Love is the Solution For Everything. You will live this. You will learn this. And you will grow to like it very much.

Dear Patient: your Vibration affects my Ability to Heal You

Dear Patient:

You have come to many places where I work. Anesthesia goes everywhere in the hospital. My Vibration is very high, very Light, and healing. Because of my Reiki, I have come to notice how your Mindset, your Heart, your Belief, your Energetic state (vibration) interact with basic conventional medicine. Let's take a tour of the hospital and find examples of where it happens the most.

Labor and Delivery:

The interplay between your outlook and your outcome is SO obvious in this part of the hospital, that even nurses who are not into Metaphysics are 'on to it'.... 'we should start stapling the surgical consent to the Birth Plan!" they say at the front desk. It is true, my friend. Your fear and non-acceptance of conventional birthing techniques, for whatever reason, puts it on your mind. A lot. What you don't know, and what the nurses can see but can't explain, is a simple Law of the Universe: we create what we think of and expect to happen, and the Universe deletes the word 'not'. You constant worrying about the method of birth sends a stream of requests to The Universe: I want c-section, I want c-section, I want c-section. And nine times out of ten that is exactly what you get. Without an epidural in labor, when we get to that point of calling a c-section, there is not enough time to wait for a block to be placed and take effect. So guess what The Universe gives? A RISKIER one under General Anesthesia!

Another area of Obstetrics where the interplay between your energetic system and my ability to care for you I tract is in placement of the Epidural. People who store a lot of anger in their lower chakras, and possibly harbor negative or dark entities there, the needle won't go in. Remember, dark entities like to make their host suffer. Sometimes I swear on other patients, it's like the needle jumps in place as if an angel guided it. The opposite is found here when I work. The negativity is repelled by my Vibration and Intent to heal. I would suggest practicing forgiveness and asking Archangel Michael to clear you if you have a lot of trauma, especially sexual trauma, in your past.

The Cardiac Suite

I have spent more time than I care to admit in The heart room. It just gets spooky: there are some patients, who out of fear or whatever, do NOT want to be there. Like the patients with the epidurals that won't go in, these ones have the ability to block interventions ALL OVER their body. The I.v. Won't go in. The arterial line is a challenge. You try and try and try to get a central line. When it is time to put the breathing tube it's hard to see the glottis, the opening between the vocal cords where the tube goes in. The saw breaks, the sutures snap, and the vein graft is poor quality. The surgeon struggles. The negativity is pervasive. Other anesthesiologists, who are more financially motivated and on lower vibration, do just fine. But I struggle. And as I advanced in psychic development, the entire room got uncomfortable. Heart surgeons, in private practice, are very egotistic. They want power, money, and success. We are incompatible, for I want Heaven Dollars I can 'take with me'. My kindness and ability to heal on a different level are not a good match for the worldly ones that work I the cardiovascular suite.

Back to the Labor and Delivery

The Very Fast Parturient deserves a special mention. Something is taking over them. They are usually multips, and go so fast there is no time for anesthesia. They are under a force of life all it's own. And I don't understand it yet. We all stand back and watch and do what we can, all of us on the labor deck.

In Pre Op Holding

I see those that want to die. They are 'done' and want an easy way out of the family, and all of their commitments. They do just fine. I have seen people who due to brain disease aren't really 'there', they do just fine. The morbidly obese, although a technical challenge, are open to healing. Cancer, all types of cancer, are okay. The gynecological cancer patients show the most appreciation and are the sweetest ones on the planet. Everyone in the hospital notices this, not just the ones like me. Inflammatory bowel tends to be a little more on the controlling side than the rest, but not enough to impede medical care.

The worldly don't talk about their success. I have had some very important people, they reflect on the great equalizer, the hospital gown and bonnet for surgery, and they know. I usually am guided to ask them what they do, that's how I learn, and my matter of factness is therapeutic for them. I see through all that fame bullshit, and it dawns on them that perhaps they might want to start looking at it that way too.

What about the reverse? The metaphysical famous? I have worked on two. I did not know it at the time when I worked on them. One frankly annoyed me with his affirmations I pre op. her I.v. Was hard, and his blood pressure sagged with induction of anesthesia consistent with age and disease burden. I also worked with a person whose last name was so freakish 'Attitude' I had to ask on the pre-op call before surgery, " is that your real name? Yes? What to you do?'

'I am a writer.'

'do you write romance novels?' I asked, for my last writer did and I don't like romance novels.

'no, I don't

'we are going to be okay then.'

This last one is an open channel for Michael the Archangel. I found that out ten years after taking care of them. So no, I don't feel 'angelic presence' when someone I am with is more spiritually advanced than me.

The Future

What will come to pass is healing that is more vibrational, with light. There will be healing chambers and light chambers. Many will find cure in one session. Hospitals, pharmaceuticals, and the entire Healthcare industry is going to tank. And I can't wait. The way the system works is not sustainable. It is not fair equally. And the pressure has been p,aced on the providers much the way the education system has turned on the teachers. Last night I found out about a friend's experience with a malpractice attorney. I was shocked at how unscrupulous these people could be!

Everything is going to get better. If you find yourself anywhere near a hospital I the next few weeks to months, try practicing these steps:
Forgiveness
Release hatred
Release anger
Release sadness
Create happiness and joy
Courage
Divine knowledge
Reflect of the circle of life and it's cycles
God
Peace
