Whisper

The most powerful manner of speech is a whisper.

Do I have your attention?

"Free Energy is here, mommy. You don't have to pay the electric company any more. All you need is this box. An electrical engineer can build it. Do you know any?"

http://hopegirl2012.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/qeg-user-manual-3-25-14.pdf

Better print that one out fast before the electric company finds out about it! And all the solar energy and wind energy people too!

Build the box just once, and you get free electricity out of it FOREVER! Don't wait to buy it at Costco! The manufacturers are taking it directly to the people, one at a time, because Tesla's patent belongs to humanity, not to big business, right?

Here's another one, in the picture, actually two pictures--so there are THREE devices out there that use quantum energy and make it into electricity FOR FREE!!!

"I heard that over in Egypt, the Egyptian Military has been given the first advanced technology for healing that cures something that kills and hurts many people who suffer from it once they catch it--HIV and AIDS."

The disease itself was caused by hybrid DNA in a lab with some really advanced DNA technology before it 'got out' and affected the general public.

Here is something that people who were concerned about this advanced technology being used to cause harm, and they are sending something as a cure for it--no triples--no pills--just light and energy like this:
  • A handheld device that looks like a blender handle with an antennae uses electromagnetic energy scanning to detect HIV, Hepatitis, and other viruses. This device is called i-fast and C-fast.
  • Then a device called Complete Cure filters the blood like a dialysis unit.
  • Here is one link: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/feb/28/egypt-unveil-device-detects-cures-aids
  • A patent has been filed under the name Armed Forces Engineering Agency
  • The technology is not welcomed by the scientific community, as a google search will show
Since everything is energy, and imbalance of energy leads to Dis-Ease and susceptibility to pathogens, then why shouldn't energy medicine be able to 'tip the scales' toward cure?

It is well-known in the Reiki community that patients given Reiki with surgery heal about one to two weeks ahead of schedule, experience less pain, and do not have postoperative nausea and vomiting.

I should know. My recovery room (PACU) nurses always are eager to take care of my patients. Why? Because there is not much to do--and the patients are happy--because I give Reiki to every single one (or their Guardian Angel to give it to them).

People are spiritually awakening right and left!

Key codes and activation sequences for Ascension are being given out left and right. Those who are clairvoyant are actually seeing people's higher selves 'drop' into their Merkabas, the balanced energy 'blueprint'' of the human body as it was made to be by Creator.

And those newly awakening are getting pretty excited about the opportunity to help heal, support, and awaken others!

There are over THREE HUNDRED groups on Meetup who currently gather on Sundays at noon PDT across the earth to get ready for the changes as Gaia herself Ascends.

How will this look to you? Well, here are some things I see:
  • people are nicer and less argumentative. Those who continue to be oppositional in their behavior are regarded as being inappropriate by the majority of the group.
  • The Goddess is being respected for her opinion, and males who are becoming increasingly Divine Masculine (due to their acceptance and welcoming of the Divine Feminine energy they carry within--all of us carry both Masculine and Feminine energies together)--are concerned and caring, and reach out to a woman in distress and expect nothing in return. When my tire went flat, a truck driver stopped and helped me at the gas station, and made sure everything was okay before he left.
  • Old ways of 'ridicule, separation, and trying to control the masses' with media broadcasting and print are rapidly becoming stale, trite--it's not fooling anyone.
  • Interest in a healthy diet--free of artificial chemicals and pesticides-- is on the way up thanks to the excellent world-wide information that is available on GMO and similar 'slow kill' poisons that are placed in the food supply. (Thank you Moms Across America! http://www.momsacrossamerica.com)
  • 'You read my MIND!' people are starting to say with wonder and delight...this is because as the vibrations that surround us increase, more of our intuition--which has been actively suppressed by society and those who control it--is going to be emerging once again.

Guess what?

There's something MORE amazing, just up the road, ahead of us!

I see it clearly...

But you would NEVER believe it if I shared.

So let's all hold hands and look forward to a HUGE HUGE HUGE unbelievably WONDERFUL surprise.

Reiki And The Hepatorenal Patient

The patient was jaundiced. 'Jaune' is the French word for 'yellow'.

When liver disease gets advanced, not only the liver but the kidneys fail too. This combination is lethal, but it takes some time for the end to happen.

Recently a patient was DNR, but 'wanted everything done' for palliation. The GI doc and I had a heart to heart for a good long time before--because 'this could be IT'--death due to sudden massive blood loss that was unable to be stopped.

We decided together on conservative management for the anesthesia, which involved intubating the patient, who didn't want mechanical ventilation.

Everyone had to be on board to proceed.

This is what happened:

  • a conference call with family, durable power of attorney, patient, GI and anesthesia in presence of the RN.
  • The DNR was rewritten to allow for the procedure and possible cardiac arrest--yes to electricity, chemicals, chest compressions and intubation until stable after the procedure.
  • This took three phone calls to high-ranking nurses and much documentation
  • A chaplain came before the procedure
  • I went to the washroom and sent Reiki ahead 'for the highest good'.
It took a while to get my equipment ready. Due to risk of infecting myself with a blood-transmitted disease the patient had, I put on a full gown, gloves, and mask with eye protection. As I walked over to the head of the bed, the patient said, 'I figured it out! You know who you look like, doc? The lady from Heat, you know, the movie with Al Pacino...'

It was surreal. I was all gowned up and expecting Rene Russo in one of those Ebola Virus movies! Instead it was 'you look like some famous actress' (I get 'you look like somebody' often.) I gave some off-handed  comment about looking Italian (I am half Sicilian), and positioned myself at the head of the bed. I instructed Respiratory to start preoxygenating the patient. I took a big deep breath myself, asked everyone if they were ready, and committed to starting anesthesia for the case.

When I gave the drugs to start deep sleep of anesthesia, I made sure the patient was comfortable and ready. I had selected my safest drugs in advance to keep the hemodynamics stable while on pressors. Tube went in, it got secured, and the vent started to go.

Surgeon came in and looked. A big nothing! No blood. No terrible findings.

It took about forty-five minutes to get everyone together enough to 'take the risk'. And about seven once we did.

Reiki is of immense help to the healer such as myself. It is 'zen' that calms the room and the patient. It allows for 'the situation to play itself out' with complete and total acceptance on all parties involved.

We didn't want for that patient to pass today during the procedure, although it could have happened.

We are most fortunate that it did not.

I will never forget the sister crying on the phone when we agreed 'it was a go'.

The first thing I asked the nurse to do after it was over was to 'call the sister and tell her the patient is still alive'.

The nurses in the unit thought that was funny.

I didn't think it was funny at all.

Angel Devil

I saw a sticker on the back window of a pickup before me that looked like this on before I got to work. The devil was on the left, and both looked hotter than even this image.

I never understood the appeal of having horns and  a tail...

_______________________________________________

My friend Lola, who ran the willed body donation and also participated in a group to help others cross to the Light (souls 'stuck'), confided to me when I was a med student: she had never been faithful to any man her whole life.  Furthermore, her father had been a cheater, and she thought she must have inherited the 'cheating gene' from him...

________________________________________________

Dr. Jetson was the 'cute ski instructor and chef' a friend in high school met on a ski lift. I was surprised at the suddenness of it all, but she was happy. Ten years later I was surprised to learn I was Dr. Jetson's attending. He was the father of three kids! He had done something outrageous to get into the program--he cut a deal as a medical student to go outside the match. After pulling off THAT, he 'changed his mind' after the match and did a year on obstetrics, with the plan to become an OB-GYN. After internship, he changed his mind AGAIN, and went BACK into the anesthesia program.

After graduating as Chief Resident and starting work in the community, it turned out he had helped himself to the anesthesia narcotics the whole residency and had a serious problem. He was sent to rehab by his new anesthesia group.

His wife stood by him. Only to have him leave her for an x-ray tech at the new hospital he worked at after he graduated from the rehabilitation program.

___________________________________________

Dr. Fang was also a student of mine. However, he switched from anesthesia to general surgery. He liked livers, and was very involved in the liver transplant program.

We ended up at the same hospital after I left academics. He was devastated. His wife (a mutual friend and doc) was coming home late. She was cheating. With a real estate agent.

It was hard for me to hear. He used to work all hours, and she used to complain when I was with her that she was lonely and the kids needed a father. 'Why be married when I am like I am single?' she would ask.  Her parents lived with her, and that is how she was able to find someone else.

I didn't like it, how she hurt him, but I understood enough about the situation to remain friendly with both.

It wasn't until three years later, I learned the truth: he had been involved with the liver transplant coordinator while they were in residency (they had married in medical school).

She kept confronting him. He kept denying it. She got anonymous letters and emails about his cheating--OFTEN--and finally she confronted him with 'there people don't care and feel the need to say something--is this cheating TRUE?'.  It was, and he swore to change, but he never did, so she left.

Is doctor Fang a devil? I thought he was an angel when 'he was wronged'?

Guess what he shared today in the O.R.?

The Best Answer to the question Does Vegan Diet Heal Cirrhosis and Hepatitis C?

  • The liver makes albumin, a protein, which helps with fluid balance
  • If not enough albumin, then fluid collects in the gut, which is called 'ascites' (ass-sigh-tees)
  • Liver makes antibodies and immune proteins
  • Liver makes clotting factors
  • Liver makes glycogen, a sugar storehouse of energy that lasts twenty-four hours
  • Liver metabolizes drugs and proteins.
  • When liver is cirrhotic, it can't process amino acids with a benzene ring structure--these are false neurotransmitters. They build up, and cause hepatic encephalopathy (mental deterioration). In vegetarians there are none of these proteins that are found in meat, and the encephalopathy does not occur.
  • Without meat, the diseased liver does not make albumin. The patient is malnourished, and develops ascites. Therefore vegan and vegetarian diet makes poor health with respect to albumin and immunoglobulins and clotting factors and drug metabolism.
  • The liver needs to eat. The digested nutrients that are absorbed in the gut go through the portal vein straight into the liver. Patients who are on long-term TPN (i.v. or 'parenteral' nutrition) have the liver eventually 'go bad' on them.
Is doctor Fang an angel now for answering the question?

How about this: the patient is an HMO. He gets paid for every six months the patient sees him, whether it is for an office visit, a hospital stay, or more. The surgery that he did when he was with me recently, a risky one on a cirrhotic, was FREE.

He took on all that risk because 'he never bases his clinical decisions on the patient insurance'.

It was elective surgery.

I wonder if I got compensated for my work too?

There are no cheaters in Heaven. There are no cheaters in Heaven-On-Earth, which is about to happen after the Event.

Why?

Because our auras interact. We pick up a 'vibe' of someone's 'intent'. Cheaters are so 'stinky' in their cheatin' hearts that everyone can 'smell a rat' from a long ways off.

No one will get hurt by cheaters.

And everyone will be angels. Whether they like it or not! LOL

Angel romantic adventure is incredible!  The energy is amazing and totally new.

Or so I hear ; )

(coughs to change the subject--AWKWARD!)

How about a little Sublime? I grew up in the LBC. This video is the story of my neighborhood...I did all of that and more...LOL ; )

Is Bee Honey Kosher?--An Evening with Paul Nison

I adore watching 'famous vegans' lecture. I see a side of their talk like nobody else in the room--I have my medical expertise to 'filter it'. Here is what I have to say about a recent lecture I attended from Paul Nison, who is 'famous' on the internet. On YouTube he is--thedurianking. On Facebook he is--healthwatchman. On Twitter, he is @paulnison. On Tumbler he is -- rawpaul. On LinkedIn he is --paul nison.
_________________________________________

Before me there was a man in linen, looking like a cross between Jesus and ZZ Top. I honed in on his aura. It was hard to see in the light. I scanned his chakras: grounded, very grounded, more so than most people I have met. I next put my attention on his personality: fast talking New Yorker, funny, and like all New Yorkers, 'not holding anything back'.  If he thinks it, he says it. He is a straight shooter. He cracks jokes about being mistaken for the homeless because of his look.

At these lectures I call myself 'the voice of reason'. Today, the question I wanted answered was the claim one of my patients made that 'his coach for his new vegan diet of one week says that it will cure his Hepatitis C'. In fact, statements like this are indefensible in court; It is 'practicing medicine without a license'.  I wanted to KNOW what kind of stuff goes one with 'these folks' before I align myself professionally with any 'group', both as 'Reiki Doc' as you know me, and as my anesthesiologist 'self' too.

What unites most of these 'organizations' is a 'how I healed myself story' in the context of 'how I hate doctors that are so dumb they can't cure me and make me worse'.

Right on scheduler, the opener was, 'I had Ulcerative Colitis. It was miserable. I went against everything the doctors said by going raw. And I haven't had a symptom in years.'

'Is anyone here a doctor?' Paul asked.

Spirit nudged, not to raise your hand!

'Good! Because I HATE DOCTORS! They don't know anything!' he exclaimed to a room full of cheers and whoops and applause.

I wanted to hide! But SOMEONE has to take first steps to begin a dialogue with the medical community and raw vegans! Just minutes before, at the hospital,  on my way to the parking lot I ran into a nurse I know. She asked about my plans. Sweet RN Loan was excited about my plans to attend the lecture, and asked me to talk to her about diet later. Loan is Vietnamese and works in pre-op. She shows more respect to me as a physician than anyone else has in my entire career. She knows how hard I worked to earn the title 'M.D.' and I can hear it in her voice when we talk. It used to be like that in the past, but now almost everyone treats me like it's nothing. Except her. : )

During the coarse of the talk, Paul Nison won me over to his side, all doctor-slamming excepted. Here are some of his main points:

  1. He no longer eats a 'raw' diet. Some things marketed as 'raw' are 'candy' such as energy bars. He has re-phrased his life style to a 'Fresh Foods Diet'.
  2. A person doesn't have to go 100% 'Raw'. Some people are 80% 'Raw' or 50% 'Raw'. That is okay. The optimum plate has 75% 'raw' on it, preferably as sprouts, and 25% fruit or carbohydrate. You are to eat the green sprouts first.
  3. Every body is different. There are sick people in both the raw vegan camps and the meat-eater camps! Optimum Health is MORE than nutrition. It is healthy sleep and healthy movement too. We need to be actively moving about 30 minutes a day and sleeping 8 hours.
  4. He is against the 'what food do I eat to cure breast cancer?' magic bullet approach. (See number 3 above)
  5. He recommends blood testing to assess nutritional levels and 'how is that working for you?' to make changes to the diet with supplements, etc. to achieve optimum health.
  6. He supplements with Vitamin B-12, probiotics, and Natto (a fermented soy product).
  7. Sea vegetables such as nori and kelp are highly good for you.
  8. Stevia is the sweetener of choice for him.
  9. Raw Chocolate is considered by him to be 'Crack-cao' instead of 'cacao'.
  10. Dry brush your skin daily to eliminate toxins (exfoliation speeds up growth of new skin cells)
  11. Chew Foods well until the food is liquid
  12. "Health begins by what we eliminate"--inferring that processed foods, etc. are on some level, 'toxins' and that although the human body can 'adapt', it is not 'optimum fuel' for it.
My delight was when a man in the audience raised his hand and asked the question, 'Is there a non-medical cure for sleep apnea?'

As a board-certified anesthesiologist who does much anesthesia for bariatric surgery, and as one with a history of over ten years in academic medicine before THAT, my toes curled with delight as I waited for the response from Paul...Sleep Apnea is the perfect question for my expertise, more than anyone else in the room, or even, at the hospital!

I looked at this man. Anterior chin and about eighty pounds overweight. Tongue is too large for mouth. Entire airway (tongue, throat, trachea) collapse upon deep relaxation of sleep, obstructing the movement of air.  There are three ways to deal with this--lose weight, surgically 'open' the throat to accommodate the tongue, or CPAP (a mask that is strapped on to the face at night to keep the airways from closing).  The man's question is important because if left untreated, sleep apnea wreaks havoc on the body (hypertension, then pulmonary hypertension, then right heart failure with swelling of the legs) as well as the sleep (the patient is unable to achieve 'restful' stage IV REM sleep because hypoxemia 'wakes him up' every two minutes as a reminder to breathe. He is not aware of it, but his sleep is RADICALLY ALTERED and of much poorer quality because of it.)

I also 'scanned' the man asking the question's aura. He 'likes to eat and does not want to wear the mask'. It is going to be a tough sell getting through to him that 'something needs to be changed because your body does not like how you are driving it'.

What did Paul say? YES! YES IT CAN CURE SLEEP APNEA!
I was fighting every impulse I had to get in to that conversation.
And then Paul BACKPEDALED! He said, 'It has worked for some people in the past, yes, but everyone is different and no one can tell for sure what is right for you until you try it and see how it works'.

With that one answer, Paul Nison saved his reputation with me. No practicing medicine without a license! No 'magic bullet cures' for diseases, although he openly admits his Ulcerative Colitis improved with the entire lifestyle change of 'fresh diet' for him. Actually SUGGESTING blood work (unfortunately by a nutritionist and not a doc) as a QUANTITATIVE WAY to measure how your diet is 'working for you'.

So, I support him. How couldn't I after finding out he once ate EIGHT durians in one sitting? You gotta love him. And love durian too. Today he, and his work, are the subject of this blog. And I give him the pat on the back we give each other as doctors--'Strong work Paul!'

Point and Shoot

Are you Medical? If you are, then tell me what this pnemonic is for? Any M.D. and most likely any D.O. will recall at once that the P and S have something to do with something essential to human kind.
Not so sure? I will give you a hint: parasympathetic and sympathetic. Does that ring a bell?

I doubt it.

Only someone who has walked the walk and talked the talk would know that this pnemonic (memory aid) describes the male sexual response nerve pathways:

  • parasympathetic--point--erection
  • sympathetic--shoot--ejaculation
Prostatectomy used to carry with it severe side effects. One, was loss of urinary continence due to the reconfiguration of the urethra. But the most devastating was the loss of the nerves in the pelvis, the ones on each side of the prostate, I believe where the lymph nodes are which are dissected out for staging of the cancer. They are parasympathetic.  Lose one, and there is a twenty-five percent risk of impotence, loss of the ability to have an erection. Lose both and the odds are fifty percent.  These facts were drilled into my head by the established medical system. Over the years, we have found by using the robot and even cryotherapy, nerve sparing technique dramatically lowers this risk of impotence with surgery.

Today, my favorite gastroenterologist shared with me a lesser known fact: in the 1950's and 1960's, the technique for hysterectomy at the time routinely severed both of the pelvic nerves, the ones that govern the female sexual response like the ones that do for the males. Furthermore, in that time was the highest rate of cesarean section and hysterectomy (not c-hys) in all history in the USA. Over forty percent of women at that time had female sexual dysfunction. And no one at the time ever was taught to ask. Everyone asked the men. But not the women. It wasn't until the 1970's that the female sexual response was anybody's concern at all in the field of medicine. (Fortunately someone researched a nerve-sparing technique then too, which is what is used today.)

How is that different from female circumcision--physiologically?

Whether the anatomy is intact, or not, if it is not functioning because of surgical intervention, isn't it the same as that barbaric cultural ritual that is still practiced in some parts of the world?

Why didn't anyone care? Didn't they know?

The first thing they taught  in 'How to interview a patient', is 'that everyone wants you to ask about it.'
  • are you doing it?
  • does it work?
  • is there anything more you would like to talk about it?
And the things patients say? Sigh. Some things in fact I wouldn't want to know, but that is the job. Someone's got to do it.

I am still in shock that such disparity has existed for so long. It wasn't until the eighties that anyone thought that women's cardiac disease might be different from men's, and that the treatments developed for men might not be the most effective for women with cardiac disease.

No wonder why he is my favorite gastroenterologist!

For the rest of you, who are discussing Obamacare, here is one important thing to know if you have Hepatitis C:
The Medicare/Medicaid/Cal Optima protocol for treatment of Hepatitis C is from 1991.
(He would be dead by now if that was the treatment he was on. He has it* and has been kept alive by the latest technology on Hepatitis C)

He also shared that a colleague of his at another institution, a radiologist, said that 'barium enema is enough, and that colonoscopy is not indicated. If you don't see a mass on the film, there is no need to do a colonoscopy.' This is against the standard of care that has been in place since my training. But who is to stop some insurance company, some administrator, or some health care policy maker from enforcing this cheaper and technically backward policy into effect if there are doctors out there who promote it?

What I am trying to share with you is that there are a lot of diseases and treatments for them that are highly 'open to interpretation' between your caregiver, where they work, and the socio/politico/economic milieu. There is no time like the present to have your Intuition be in tip-top shape, and to follow it. It may save your life. And Reiki is an exceptional way to increase Intuition.

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

*there was another patient, a former health care worker, who had hepatitis and cirrhosis with portal hypertension we took care of recently, too. We really do put our lives on the line for our patients.
