Something For Nothing--Luxury For Everyday

'It's very busy here. Yes. Yes I will. It's our pleasure.' the host was saying on the phone at the fancy coastal hotel I had taken my son to eat breakfast, for our relaxed, no-reservations one-day-early Easter celebration for just us two. He was talking to his boss, who thought he was doing nothing. I could tell, I'm intuitive, and I just know. I smiled.

We had to wait in the lounge before our table was ready.

This is a five-star hotel.

At the five-star range, money is like monopoly-money. It almost doesn't exist because the hotel charges what they want, and the guests act like they don't care. The rooms here--the worst view ones--are six-hundred-ninety-five dollars a night.

That's why we ate breakfast only, and did not stay at the hotel for the night. No matter how much my son asked for me to book us a room. The place is very beautiful.

I like the view.

It was also a 'do-over' for me. My first Easter without my boy (he was at his other side of the family, and I wasn't invited), I cried. My girlfriend took me here, and we ate by the pool. The views were amazing, and they really lifted my spirits up.

In the picture, above, of my place setting, the flatware is silver-plate, and heavy. The to-go cup has free lavender Earl Grey tea with Bonne Maman honey in it, and a little cream. The 'banana bread' is vanilla square that was free from the Chef. So is the water--Free.

So here you have free food and hot beverage with an ocean view, and silver flatwear, too!

Why does it take enormous amounts of money for people to be nice to each other, and to share nice things?

They actually screwed up my order, big time. I ordered the huckleberry-pine nut crepes, to go with my Kir Royale, and I got a huge stack of pancakes. I am like, 'What's this?' They said, 'You ordered pancakes.' I said, 'No I didn't, I ordered the crepes.'

The waiter apologized profusely (a different person brings the food to your table at places like this). He offered to comp me for it.

But when the bill came, he didn't comp me.

I pointed it out and asked,  politely, 'Didn't you say you were going to comp me?' (the dish was seventeen dollars)

He denied it.

I accepted it and said, 'Okay, fine, I'll pay for it. No problem.'

And he said, 'Unless you want me to comp you.'

I said, 'No, no, no, that's okay' because I could tell he really needed the money. You should have seen them taking off the jam and the syrup (real maple!) from the table before I had a chance to think about taking them home! I decided not to, even though I really wanted to, just to be nice.

When the bill came, he did comp me, for my drink. I was like, okay, and he ended  up getting about that much in a tip, because the rest of the meal was certainly NOT for free.

See this lady to the right? Why is she sitting there? Does she look like she is having fun? Can she swim? I don't think she doesn't enjoy sand, or the ocean. Is she following some rule someone told her is what we do (in her native country)?

I don't know.

But to me, her behavior is very much like the reverse of the luxury hotel. She is the only one who is not participating in the fun at the beach. You should have seen the African-American family making a beautiful picture of their daughter on the rock in a mermaid costume for her birthday--she looked about three. And you should have see the Mexican grandmother (this is common coastal access, Treasure Cove Beach) who was like, 'I am having just as much fun as those rich people for FREE!' with her umbrella and chair she brought with her family from home. There was an artist making an Easter Bunny on the beach in the sand as a sculpture--for free. Most of the guests at the hotel were white, middle eastern, and asian...and very well-to-do.

The luxury hotel says, 'This is the only pocket of really great service and luxury' and everyone else can't have fun.

That doesn't make sense.

Shouldn't we all take super good care of each other, and ourselves, and have five-star service every chance we can give it or receive it?

Isn't the service up to us? Even with paper napkins and plates, the concern and caring and attention to detail can be present if we wish it to be so.

We can make it look nice. And neat. And clean.

Yesterday I waited at a local drug store because my son was in the restroom. Did you know minimum wage is $7.50 an hour--and that's before taxes and union dues?

Who can live on that? Rents in the area are SUPER expensive! People need to have two and three jobs to make ends meet.

If you ask me, this whole money thing is really jacked up.

It gives us the excuse to think less of ourselves, and to treat others better or worse depending on how much money they have!

Ewwwww!

That's not how things work in Heaven.

And soon, that's not how things are going to work down here on earth, too.

Hold on to your hats!

The Role Of Surrender In Raising Kundalini

I am reading with less interest than I thought I would have when I bought it, a book called ' Spiritual Nutrition' by Gabriel Cousens, M.D.

He writes about himself in the third person to show there is no ego. How strange is that?

Anyhow, I am only on the first chapter, and I feel I have to speak up. He has a lot of good points, but the 'follow my recipe to Enlightenment (Kundalini)' approach is bothersome, as well as his disclaimer that 'if you don't have LOVE of God in your heart none of this recipe will actually WORK'.

Here is the deal--he's half 'right'.

Yes, these Six Foundations for Spiritual Life ARE indeed correct, and are in NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

  • Nutrition--vegan, organic, live-food, high-mineralized, low-sugar, individualized, moderate food intake diet, well-hydrated with pure living water, and including Spiritual Fasting
  • Building Prana--Yoga asanas, yoga pranayama, ohpnim, t'ai chi, reiki, tachyon energy, other energy practices, sacred dance.
  • Service and charity--this helps expand consciousness through direct experience
  • Spiritual guidance and inspiration--satsang--being in the presence of an awakened one brings a human 'touch' to spirituality
  • Silence--meditation, prayer, repetition of mantra, chanting. Silence is the doorway to the Heart of God.
  • Kundalini Awakening--initiation, with is the awakening of the Divine force that is resting in potential within us.

This is where I take out my hands and do a HUGE 'Time Out' signal to everyone!!

Time Out!
Hold it!
Do not pass GO, do not collect two hundred dollars!

Hello????

YOU are in the perfect place and perfect Time right this minute NOW for all your spiritual development!!!

Everything you need to awaken that KUNDALINI is right with you, right here, in perfect balance, in this moment NOW.

SO CHILL!!!

This all started for me by following that 'little voice' inside that 'wanted to know more about my psychic  gift' because I figured, 'God wouldn't have given it to me if He didn't want me to use it. He wouldn't waste it, so I might as well go to psychic development classes and learn.'

There I found Reiki. After that I went on a no-holds-barred mission to jack up my vibration like Totally as far as it could go!

Next, some time later,  I met Lady Isis. I wanted what she had, her energy. And she did the Goddess Initiation on me, opened my nadis and stuff and the Kundalini has flowed ever since.

I didn't read a book.

Books are amusing, and good to increase your knowledge.

But Kundalini flows with the HEART CENTER. It must be open and ready to handle all of 'That Energy'!

Allow, ask, and surrender yourself to the process. Your guides are ready to help you!

Do 'What Feels Good' until your Kundalini kicks in.

There is no test at the end of the semester. There is no DEADLINE by which the Kundalini will 'go bad' or 'not work'.

There is all of ETERNITY for you to 'get this' and 'get this RIGHT'.

Here are my thoughts on the six pillars:
  • Nutrition--don't go crazy here! Just avoid eating crap that will numb your energy body out. Always cheat, just a little, because of the situation or your being human. Never rigid unless your health condition requires. Just do what feels right to you.
  • Building prana--the more the better. I do yoga, Reiki, and Tachyons. T'ai chi bores me to death. And my sacred dance is ballet, or just by myself to a song I like. Being in sunshine, the water, and with animals helps me lift my vibration too. I'm sure good sex is in this mix somewhere, but the author Dr. Cousens didn't mention it.
  • Service and Charity--this often ties in with your Purpose. Mine is working with the sick. You'll get lots of energy when you are 'on the right track'. Be careful about charity--some organizations are not reputable, so be sure to check them out.
  • Spiritual Guidance and inspiration--a lot of good stuff is out there on YouTube and the Internet. Seek 'like minded souls'. If it 'resonates' and 'you feel good', go for it!
  • Silence--I don't think Dr. Cousens 'gets it'. I can meditate in a bus station. I can meditate on a Roller Coaster. I can meditate in a Buddha Shack. What is going on in my ears, mind, and mouth are NOTHING to do with the Silence of God! After many years of practice, that 'heart connection' to guidance and SOURCE are Open! Nothing can shake it. And I 'tap in' when I want, when the need arises. It feels pleasant and I love to do it whenever possible. I don't know how to help you discover it, but that Silence of God is with you no matter what once you discover it. You can laugh and tell jokes and be in Silence too. It's that 'God connection'. Don't suffer needlessly and burden others with attaining 'silence'. Be cool about it, and you will find what works for you.
  • Kundalini Awakening--just go with it. It feels wonderful. I had a teacher open mine up. I felt 'called' to ask her. I was 'ready'. Trust. It will happen. When the time is right. And no one can take it away...
Be YOU. Be who you are!!! You are not only the student--you are someone's TEACHER just by holding your Vibration where it is meant to be.

I love you very much, and I don't want you to worry that you aren't following a 'recipe' to the way it was written on your 'enlightenment'. Real cooks don't measure anything. Seriously. They 'just know'.

So do your best, and you'll 'get it right'.

Have Grace

When you are aligned with Spirit, you have Grace.

Grace brings you fortitude and right-thinking when the going gets rough.

Sometimes you can ask for help--Divine Intervention--and it is given.

I know. I ask for Grace every time I take to the keyboard--that I will serve.

Who do you serve? That is a very important question. Undoubtedly, for all my life, to the best of my knowledge, I have served the Light. 'Make me an instrument in thy hands, Lord' I would pray. As an Intuitive, I always knew the right word to say at the right time, or the right gift to give, my whole life. But Reiki gave me a foundation to do work with Spirit in an interactive way. I allow Healing to pass through me, and to make everything right.

That is not to say, 'Everything right the way I want it at this time'.  Reiki has NO placement of intent on outcome. There is acceptance of what constitutes 'Highest Good'. And Reiki practitioners learn, in time, that Reiki takes time to accomplish great things. Because sometimes the Highest Good is accomplished on a different Time Frame that anyone would anticipate.

I got to do Meditation Uphill today at work. Unhealthy patients in a not-so-used-to-dealing with them outpatient setting. I carried my weight and much of the weight of the team. It takes work to make it look easy. And today, I did not have the steadiness of schedule to factor in that prep time to make it look easy! Today, I just made it look like work. I had a lot of difficult patients, health-wise. It was a struggle.

Underneath that struggle, I found a Test. Have you felt them? Something is really trying to get at you, and you sense it, and you do not want to give the satisfaction of giving in to anger, frustration, and despair. I call that tug-of-war a Test. Today, I decided to hold my own within that test. And to stay pleasant while keeping patient safety intact. A patients spouse said a great big, 'I appreciate what you did for my loved one.' today when I explained to her specifics about what I actually did to stabilize the patient. I said, 'There is much more to giving anesthesia than giving anesthetic'.

Who do you serve?

Today, I saw the teacher who is serving Tomorrow (taking care of the children today)

I saw nurses serving their financial obligations and families by working, and doing well.

I saw schedulers serving the needs of many by coordinating the OR cases for the next day.

I saw a colleague serving justice, possibly not Divine Justice, but their version of it.

I saw sushi chefs and servers serving the hungry with a smile.

I saw my son serving himself, by reaching into the cupboard and pouring a glass of milk for the first time.

I serve patients, people who want to get better. I serve family, friends. You don't get to see all that. But know in my heart, I do my best to give a service to you. And I enjoy it so much, I do it for free!

Today we talked about five important things:
1) Understanding whom you serve and why. Ultimately it will be either a Light or Non-Light based thing.
2) Who we serve and why leads to connection. We are family, interconnected in Light.
3) God wants us to have FUN being alive. Things that aren't much fun for us often indicate our misalignment with Source.
4) Always take the time to acknowledge and love one another in our Work. Much as I love all of YOU.
5) Grace is always there for the asking. Ask, and know it is being sent right away. Whether you acknowledge it or not, it has been SENT to give you extra Grace to Overcome Something.
