Rebirth At The Ross Fountain ; )

This is the fountain at the end of the Butchart Garden

They were installed by Ian Ross in 1964 to celebrate the Sixtieth Anniversary of the Gardens (more about Butchart here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butchart_Gardens)

 Under the bench where I was going to sit to watch the fountain, I saw this small animal. It is a bat. I used this paper to move it out of the walking path and into a bush so no one would step on it.

What are the odds of finding a bat in broad daylight where you are about to sit? Why is it that many people, in fact, everyone who saw it, was concerned about it's well-being and wanted it to be moved out of harm's way? The  paper that I used to move it was given to me by another guest at the gardens.

Now that I am home, I took the chance to look it up in the Animal Medicine Cards for it's meaning. It is 'Rebirth'. For example, the Shamanic death is the symbolic death of the initiate to the old ways of life and personal identity. The initiation that brings the right to heal and to be called a shaman is necessarily preceded by ritual death. In every case Bat signals rebirth of some part of yourself or the death of old patterns. If you resist your destiny if can be a long, drawn out, or painful death. The universe is always asking you to grow and become your future. To do so you much die the shaman's death. 

Sacred Bat...flew to me, From the darkness of the cave. Womb-like reflections, Answers it gave. Birth, death, rebirth, Cycles of the whole...Never-ending, just eclipsed, The journey of the soul.

A Good Dream About Frogs

Last night I had a dream (usually I don't dream). I was an intern at a nature center. And frogs kept hatching and quickly changing from tadpoles into full-grown frogs. They were strong, and I could hold them in my hands. I felt great joy as I ran to find the teacher and show them what was happening.

In Native American lore, frogs signify cleansing and rebirth.

As you know, frogs are almost extinct right now on earth, due to a combination of loss of habitat and a fungal illness. I believe 2011 was the 'year of the frog' to raise awareness for their plight. In this dream, they were rebounding back. All of them in the lab, all different colors, and one could tell that they were off to a good start.

I can't think of a better mascot for the Ascension process and the 12.12.12 Portal than Frog.
