"Why? Because I Like You."--A Study On The Closed Heart

How does the heart close?

This is important for everyone--more so for those who have open hearts and are concerned about a loved one whose heart is tightly shut.

Here are three examples of 'hearts' that I have recently observed--The Closed Heart*, The Bypassed Heart*, and the Open Heart that is filled with Love and Gratitude.

* = please note there is no judgement on the person or their heart, other than noting the energy pattern that is present. Closed hearts can open, and bypassed hearts can also find healthy energy flow. There is no limit on when the open heart is achieved, but once it opens, it prefers to stay open, and not close.

I Don't Like My Dogs And I Want To Get Rid Of Them:

A coworker was talking to three of us at the nurses' station. The conversation went like this:

Closed Heart: I don't like my two dogs. I want to get rid of them.
Nurse 1:  WHY?
Closed Heart: I don't get attached to animals. I grew up on a farm. We raised a cow that was named T-Bone.
Nurse 2: But why are you wanting to get rid of the dogs?
Closed Heart: one of them is my daughter's dog. She's lazy. The dog needs exercise. She thinks that buying food for it, feeding it, and picking up poop is taking care of it. The dog stays in the side yard. When he is in the back yard the poop is there and the kids play on the grass I don't want that. The other dog will go and poop on the side yard and can be allowed the bigger space, but not this one. Plus when I leave it in the yard it digs. My husband has spent a lot of money on the garden.

(Nurse 2 shows a picture of her mom's pomeranian, who has a tongue that's too big for it's mouth, and Nurse 1 shows a picture of her spaniel. Closed Heart shows the dog with a child--both seem happy).

Nurse 1: If you liked the dog you would walk it.
Closed Heart:  (doesn't notice that there are three open hearts in front of her, defends position)
My father taught me a lesson. When my car broke down, he made me sell my horse that meant everything in the world to me to pay for the repairs. I stopped loving animals like that ever since.
Reiki Doc: That is a form of abuse--taking away something that somebody really loves a lot.
Closed Heart: It was a LESSON! All lessons are painful! My father made me ride the horse into the auction. Only a few could ride it, and it has to be ridden to be sold at auction, so he made me do it.
But my daughter is LAZY and I need to teach her a lesson so I am going to get rid of the dog because I don't like it.
Nurse 1: I wouldn't have done that to my kid, make them sell their horse to pay for a car.
Reiki Doc: There could have been another way.
Closed Heart: he told me it was either my car or the horse, I had to choose one. (almost in tears)
Nurse 1: Exactly WHEN did this happen?
Closed Heart: When I was seventeen. It was like, seventeen years ago.
(Nurse 1, Nurse 2, and I exchange a knowing look)
Nurse 1: If it had just been a lesson you wouldn't have carried it around like this for so long.
Nurse 2: How long have you had it? The dog?
Closed Heart: It was a puppy and we got it in July.

Do you see the pattern of the closure of the heart?

Do you see the cycle repeating itself from Father to Daughter with the horse and now from Mother to Daughter with the dog?

In cases like this of vibrational mismatch, there is no amount of 'convincing' the nurses or I could do to open the heart of the Closed Heart.

All we can do is speak our Truth (we love dogs) and plant the seeds (your father did not have your best interest at heart). And let go and trust the Process. When her heart is ready, it will Open. But only when she is ready to let go of the pain that is 'good' and she carries around.

If you ask me, things are going to get a lot better for the animals when they stop being money to someone. Ranchers, farmers, puppy mills, breeders, and dairy farmers all see animals as a source of income, a commodity, and not a living being with Consciousness that is filled with Light, just like us.

Expectations And Concerns Of The Hypervigilant

I think this one has been traumatized by a lot more than fish! I shared with the nurse who is taking care of the same patient with me. (It's a long story, but long story short--the patient does not eat fish.)

Sometimes hearts close not because of pain, but because of tremendous anxiety. The concerns are so pressing, that the mind is occupied, and the heart is unable to engage or acknowledge others on an energetic level when the heart is stressed.

It's like being in solitary confinement, energetically, because the swirling pattern of fear and anxiety is in an endless loop.

I couldn't break it.

Sometimes in cases like this, all you can do is 'hold the space'--that is, maintain your vibration.

This is one situation where the strongest vibration wins, and the fear at three in the morning won out over my sleepy Reiki heart. I was asked to change something that was working, and wasn't sure if overcorrection would be 'okay' in this person's 'world view'; in essence, I felt like I was being asked to do the impossible--scientifically--and I overreacted. Yes. my energy got out of balance. But it is back in balance now.

I am also counting the hours until I get off my shift. There is only one hour left...

With people whose heart center is 'bypassed' by anxiety and fear, the common goal is to be reasonable and be firm in the expectation that the other be reasonable with you in return.

You're not going to win a popularity contest.

Are You The Lady Who Put That Thing In My Back?

I want to thank you for it. It didn't really hurt when you put it in, and with the labor I was comfortable and able to push. I wanted to say this to you.

This is a beautiful example of an open heart. Not only did this one narrowly miss a c-section (I waited for one hour on the labor deck, and all of the surgical instruments were 'open' in anticipation of a possible 'crash'.)--she was filled with Love and Gratitude for everything, both what she knew (I put in her labor epidural) and for what she didn't but only sensed (we were standing by for her safety and that of her baby). Her heart spoke volumes in the tone of voice and energy she used as she thanked me.

And I gave her a spontaneous hug, in return, to let her know how she had touched my heart.

Be the light in other people's darkness. You don't have to say a thing, just be YOU and be Present with an open heart.

Windows In France

One of the things that makes the home in France so charming is the window. You can see on the right, above, the shutters are open. And on the bottom floor, the one on the right is closed.

There is a total Zen to waking up and opening the window.

The inside windows, which are very much like ours back home, do not slide but open into the room. As you can see there is another layer between you and the outside world. There is no window screen.

This outer layer accordion folds on hinges until it rests just at the edge of the window frame.

The result is this--open to the world!

I think this has a lot of Spiritual Relevance for us. Our Hearts are like these windows. We can open them a little or a lot. But how beautiful it is when our Hearts are OPEN like the window to let in the view and beauty and fresh air!

12.21.12: Are We Going to Die?

Dear Jackie:

You asked this question on your Facebook page today. 'Are we all going to die in three weeks or what?'. The answer is 'not what you think' and 'yes'.

Some will transition from this world to the next. It is part of their Life Contract that was signed before birth--everyone has one, even you. There are several 'exit points' built into it, usually about five. At each one the higher self has an option to take it or stay 'alive' by choice. But by the last one, although there can be extensions of up to three months, that is it. The tourists in Thailand that died in the Tsunami would be an example. It was no accident that they were there on vacation at that time. It was their Time to cross over. So, if you are one of those people who have a life contract that is just about up, yes, you will die.  But you are going to be greeted by all of your relatives who have passed, and it shall be a joyful reunion, for there is Home and it is more 'normal' than Here.

What if I do not have a Soul Contract for my Life that is about to expire? What then-- you may ask?

Parts of you are going to die. Not all of you. And yes, you will have an option to stay with your body in a new three dimensional life, or in one that is a little different from now, but rather like more spirit-based, not quite angel, not quite human, something in between.

How is this?

The concern for Survival is going to be gone forever:
In Duality (life as we know it, that was cooked up by the Cabal, a group of about twelve men who decide when the wars are and who will win), we are constantly struggling for survival--money to pay the rent, for insurance, for energy, for food. When the banking system and big Oil-pharma are out of the hands of the Cabal's control, guess what? There will be abundance and prosperity. And health. You will have a Right to Exist--just like everything else in Nature. There is enough for everyone.

The Emotions-Mind/Worry endless loop will be interrupted by the Heart Center:
That is how the Cabal controls you. By giving Information that evokes the Emotions, powerful skills of manifestation THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE are hijacked into creating a reality that is not of your choice.  It is what they picture in the news. Not only will the fear of survival be gone, so will the fear of worry, the fear that keeps you up at night, the endless chatter shall be replaced with joy and delight just to be alive. You have a Right to feel Happiness and Pleasure.

The need to Control will quiet:
The third chakra--power, to do, to act, control, Will--is what keeps the lower two (red--survival and orange--emotions) in line. It is how we function in Duality. As Dr. Phil would ask, 'How is that working for you?'--look at epidemics of obesity, diabetes, pancreatic cancer, high blood pressure/kidneys/adrenals...diseases of the power center overworked. You will learn to love everyone for who they are, and cherish them. You have a right to Act based on honest information about others: with auras perceived telepathically, no one will be able to 'fool' anyone, ever.

Here is an example from my personal life.
I noticed guy, who noticed me. Months ago.
Today we talked. Both of us have a love of France (I know you hate it, but I love it Jackie)
We even both have good luck from the number 13.
He is a doctor. You would approve.

On the way home I started to think about him.
Right in the middle of some romantical fantasy, I stopped cold.
I just didn't want to play that game any more.
The one of player-conquest, the one of hard-to-get, make him work for it.
I realized I did not want to be in my body any more (long story short--this is a higher dimensional thing)
I shut down.

Then there was a nudge from my angels...they showed him doing something kind for me.
Just to make me smile.
They let me know that all the love and innocence I had when I was young
That Open Heart--it would be coming back for Everyone.
There is no possessiveness in an Open Heart.
Just joy for the sake of loving, and happiness...

Having to be dumped and get over it is just a lie of duality, of conditional love.
It will be different after Ascension.
But everything will be the same in the most important way of all,
the way of Love.
Love for family. Love for friends. Love for lovers.
It is good. It is healthy.
Isn't that what Reiki is all about? Universal Life Force Healing...
All over the globe.

No Jackie, we will not all die. Only parts of us. The parts were taken away from us already by the control of the Cabal. Now we are given them back, with freedom, love, and tenderness of spirit.

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

OMG! Obesity in Labor and Delivery

"I know", I said to the charge nurse at ten o'clock last night, as she looked at me and tried to explain what was up in Labor Room 4.

"How did you know??!!", she exclaimed.

"I looked it up on the computer system before I came upstairs. There was something in your voice that made me look." I replied. "What did you tell her?"

"That we are going to put in the epidural." she said.

I matter-of-factly said, "How can you promise that? It might not go in."

"What are you going to do?" she asked.

"I am going to stick her until it goes in or she tells me to stop trying."

The charge nurse left to see the patient, while I got my cart and bag of local anesthetic from the pyxis. she came back and said, "I told her we are going to give it the good old college try."

"Thank you."

I get in the room and there is an enormous woman, with full make-up. Why they try to make the face look so nice when the body is, well, enormous with rolls of fat, is a mystery. Fake eyelashes, everything applied like a cosmetologist, hair perfect. What I see is the red thigh-size cuff barely fitting on her arm, because the arm in obesity is shaped like a cone, and the cylinder of the blood pressure cuff poorly fits. I take a large cuff on the forearm over a thigh cuff on the arm in the O.R. any day. It reads more accurate.

As I take this in, I take the energy read of the room. It is survival. Is there dark entities in her? They are going to make it tough. Is she stable, mentally and emotionally? The critical thing is, where are the folds in her fat? Back pannuses are thinnest at the fold. She could barely spin in the bed to expose her back. She had concern because her internalized monitor 'was coming out'. The external monitors can't read fetal heart tones or uterine pressure due to the insulating nature of fat.

Open mind, open heart, and prayer to St. Michael to protect and aid me, I got ready.

Twenty cc's of saline, not ten. And the local with the 22 gauge needle, not the 25, to the hub, and no contact with bone. (I had prepped wide with the betadine and draped first).

One hundred percent of my attention was on that back, with the family member in the chair I could see out the corner of my eye. Tuohy needle, to the hub, contacting bone, the spinous process. The epidural space was going to be about three centimeters in past the hub. I took care to stay in the midline. The needle, as I pressed, swerved and popped, as if guided by unseen hand. The interspinous ligament. Almost there. I leaned with all my weight with the Tuohy needle hubbed to get the three centimeters and loss of resistance that indicates the epidural space. The husband put his head in his hands as I did this. It was gory. No blood, but a needle going more than all the way in is a trip. With firm grip, I held tension on the Tuohy, took out the stylet, and grabbed the extra long spinal needle. A pop through the dura and CSF would mean I was totally in the right spot. Sometimes extra fat people have a loss of resistance outside the ligament, and the catheter will thread. No pop. No CSF. I threaded the catheter to fifteen centimeters at the skin, a first, the deepest placement ever. And when I went to remove the Tuohy needle, with all my force, I couldn't. It was stuck.

I never had been in that predicament. I pulled, and I asked gently, "can you please bend forward?' She did. The bones loosened their grip on my needle, and it came out. Test dose felt good. And it was negative. Her blood pressure dropped and she had relief of her pain.

It is better to be lucky than good.

What I have learned through the years is not to judge.

To stay in the moment with a challenge.

And to know that in that moment, once handled, lies the opportunity to show your skill set.

In this woman, as a Reiki Master, I asked for Divine Intervention in my work. I got it.

"How did you ever get that epidural in?" Lorna, a seasoned RN, asked in amazement.

"It's easy," I answered. "I prayed."

Lorna laughed a big belly laugh at that one. She knows. Poor charge nurse needed me to hold the other leg so she could put in the foley. That was a sight I would like to forget having ever seen--it was not pretty.

I did not have time for a cho ku rei. But I did have a partnership with spirit, that worked. And I did have humbleness about being there sincerely to take away pain. I also took away my judgement of how she would have terrible insurance. I was wrong. Blue Cross PPO, one of the best.

'You take care of me, and I will take care of you." said the father-to-be, on talking about his job as a server at a swanky restaurant, and what celebrities tip better than others. For a while I had thought about my role in medicine, "I will take care of you and maybe you will pay me and maybe your insurance will and maybe they will not." But I plucked it out of my mind. It was not healthy. And look! Good insurance after all!

Do not see like everybody else sees. A challenge is a gift to let us manage it. We discover how much better we are at what we do. Others show us pieces of ourselves. Embrace differences. For what we do to them we also are doing to our own hearts. Love is the only thing that will protect us and save us from any challenge.

Choose love. Hold tight to it, no matter what the challenges. And love will find the way through the challenges that await you.

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

P.S. Labor epidurals are put in by sight and by feel. When you can see the interspaces between the spinous processes, you go there. When you can't see them, you go by feel. The times you can't feel the bony prominences with pressure, you have to guess. Sometimes you go in by bouncing off the bone. You have a mental picture in your head of the space, and recreate it by bumping into the edges around it.
The reason I have a gift for the morbidly obese moms on labor and delivery, is that I have 'the sight', intuition. I go by feel. And also by guidance. I get direction like, 'that won't work there' or a feeling of forboding at different sites. I go for the one that seems 'right'. And that is how I get it. I did a four foot nine inch four-hundred pounder that way. It is never easy. But take away what you see and feel and know, and go in blind...that's where I come ahead of the rest. : D
