On Facing My Worst Nightmare Tonight ((( Heart )))

I faced my worst nightmare tonight.
It wasn't in a hospital.
It was at an 'Open Mic' night at Au Lac.

I went there for a friend, my friend and Reiki student, Amber.
It was her twenty-fifth birthday tonight.
She invited me to come.
I knew it would mean a lot to her.

The OR ran late and by the time I arrived it was three hours late for her party.
I waited for a guitarist to stop, and I walked to where she was sitting.
I gave her a big hug, from my heart, and had her open her present.

I chose the new Doreen Virtue Virgin Mary Oracle cards--
Amber sees Blessed Mother now, too.
And with Doreen's cards there is never anything 'reversed' or 'upside down'.
They are all positive. (I also gave her a pendulum, and a little more, and a card.)

I don't like crowds.
I am uncomfortable around people I don't know.
Especially ones that look like the people who used to smoke pot with Dad at the nudist camp where I 'grew up'. (there's a blog post on 'Growing Up Nudist', if you're interested).

I didn't like the Vibe.
The 'searching' and the 'playing' with Consciousness.
It was like the giggles from smoking pot--I couldn't take them seriously.
Or Dad.
I was old enough to know the difference.

Pot smokers can be okay--Wes Annac--go ahead, Light Up for God's Sakes--I know you think my 'wine with dinner' is toxic so we're even! LOL
Incidentally, Edgar Cayce enjoyed his cigarettes--he used to say, 'there is no tobacco where I am going'…

But for me, with that type of crowd, I get nervous.
Very nervous.
It's because of when I was a kid, and Dad seemed, well, out of control momentarily by these people.

Anyhow,
Tonight was OKAY.
Everything was FINE.
No one hurt me.
And Amber gave a beautiful tribute to the magic that has brought us to be friends:

  • I gave her anesthesia for her c-section, and forgot about it. She did too.
  • Amber sought me out for my Reiki when I was at her work (she is a server)
  • I taught her Reiki to help her mom who has end-stage breast cancer.
  • She asked me to look up her file at work--did I do her anesthesia?
  • She was right! We marveled at the coincidence...
  • I also wrote a letter for her to get into a Master's program, and it worked!
Everybody clapped and cheered to learn of my role in her journey! All of the ones that looked like those people I feared-- loved me, and accepted me, not as their own, but as Amber's.

She also gave credit to my Twin, my brother, who owns the restaurant but used to be my kid brother when I was alive while he was an infant…He is important in her Path and Magic too…He was just as embarrassed as I was, but glad in the heart, and walked out of the room when the crowd started to clap and cheer his name.

On the drive home I sang to keep myself awake.
And I thought. I thought about the people that make me nervous, and why?
I couldn't figure it out.

I pulled in to the garage, and saw the snowman had fallen over completely. It is my boy's treasure and delight, and he would be upset to know it was not standing up. It is one of those inflatable eight-foot tall ones that lights up.

So I checked.
It did not have the pegs.
The little pegs that anchor it had come out. There are three and none of them were in the ground.
I fixed them, and it stood up.

Then I understood!
They do not have the pegs!
These people who make me nervous are 'flighty' and 'top heavy' or 'airy', with 'too much spirit' and not enough of solid contact with day-to-day 'earth'.
They do not have the pegs…

Their reality is not like mine as I know it, a world of discipline and structure.
They do not have the pegs…
For years I looked for someone to 'anchor me'.
I deliberately sought out partners who were 'big' like bouncers just to help me 'ground' and feel 'protected'; I was so spiritually 'flighty' that I was afraid without it I would 'float up'…It was uncomfortable!
It wasn't until medical school and splitting up with my baby-daddy that put me Here and Now all the way--LOL.

No wonder why that personality 'bothered me'…I was looking at part of myself--floaty, otherworldly, yours truly.
I was that way for most of my life!
Until I woke up.

Always look past the 'uncomfortable feeling' to see what is True in your Heart Center.

I'm glad I did.
Happy Birthday Amber!
There is magic for everyone tonight.

On Reincarnation: The Borrowed Body In The Big Picture

Yesterday at a family gathering there was a spiritual surprise: my cousin's daughter stopped by with her cousin and my uncle to drop off old driver tests to my mother who is taking her renewal examination next month.

I hadn't seen L except once or twice, and at that, only briefly.

You see, this cousin, along with his brother, and my uncle, got upset how my father's parents put together their will; the inheritance was to be divided among the LIVING children only.

My aunt predeceased her mother by around six months.

As a result I did not see those cousins ever since. The exception was my uncle and his youngest son, my cousin Kenny.

My niece is my grandmother 'come back'. My nephew is her husband, my grandfather, 'come back'. My boy is my nanu Filippo 'come back'. (One of the kindest things I did for my son is to get him into swimming lessons early--my nanu  never learned how to swim and also regretted it).

I see the 'Lessons' continuing clear as day, and although the children are not aware of it, there is a closeness and 'connection' to their 'former selves'.

But my cousin's daughter?

I was the reason she was conceived!

No I was not in the bedroom! LOL. I am a 'good luck charm'! My sister was getting married. I could not sleep at my parent's house because they have a cat. My cousin and his wife let me have their guest room. It was a kindness they did not have to do.

When people extend to me such kindness, the kind that helps me deeply in so many ways--to save face, to feel loved and welcomed, to understand and lesson a burden in my life--guess what?

They have a baby.

They had been 'trying' for a long time with no luck. She was an older bride. But that morning, when I woke up, there was a long delay before breakfast and I could hear them in their bedroom. I could feel the energy of lovemaking. It was genuine and open in that room, healthy between a man and woman who were married. I lay there in my tiny bed, hungry, patiently waiting for them to finish. And their energy was way up as we ate. I was glad to be able to shower and go to the wedding. Always the bridesmaid but never the bride…that's my life! In more ways than one might think!

It's been that way for as long as I can remember, being a 'baby charm'. LOL. The lady who hired me one summer at the car rental place had an 'oops' (Sandy was really nice, even had a cake for me on my last day, and welcomed me back 'whenever I needed work'), teachers, coworkers, my cousin and his wife, I can't remember exactly all of them but you get the picture…

L was the spitting image of my Aunt Jean. Right down to the Vibration!

I am used to working with people 'on a soul level', and I could tell, in the subconscious, Aunt Jean 'knew I knew'. This time she is going for education, in college, and aiming to be a hospital administrator…

A big 'tip off' is that the 'borrowed bodies' tend to resemble the older bodies a LOT.

Same height, same build, same facial shape…Cayce studied it too…as well as some of his modern researchers: http://reikidoc.blogspot.com/2012/09/update-research-on-reincarnation.html
This article has pictures of how they look just like they did 'the last time around'…

David Wilcock is the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce, supposedly, too. David gets his spiritual connection in the form of dreams…prophetic ones. ; )

So this is enough to get you thinking about some pretty fascinating 'stuff'…

Your Past Lives

Has anyone ever come up to you and said, 'You are an old soul!'? If they have, this article is for you.
Our past lives are an important part of us. Let me say that again: our past lives are an important part of who we are right here right now--today!

How are we to go about discovering them?

Do you have any identifying marks on your body, such as a birthmark? Sylvia Browne has noted that many birthmarks coincide with lethal blows from a past life that 'carried over' to the next.

Have you ever visited some place you've never been, and felt amazingly 'connected' to it? Chances are good that you spent a past life there, possibly a happy one. New England has great call for me...

Are there any fears you have that are irrational--such as fear of falling, fear of choking, fear of dying young? I thought I would never make it past my sixteenth birthday. I thought something would happen to me before I reached that age. Little did I know, in the immediate past life before this, my life was cut short before I became a teenager. These fears come from how you died. A soul 'can remember' certain traumas from one life to the next.

Any triggers--foods you love that are ethnic, fondness for a certain period of fashion (I myself adore the thirties and anything art deco) might possibly be a clue as to where your 'connections to your past lives' are.

How does one go about and learn more on past lives?

Part of it is from being open and being still. I have learned most of my past lives that way.

Another part is from taking a class on or doing a meditation on the Akashic records. The Akashic records are in a library not on Earth, and the volumes are big golden books as tall as you. Inside is everything you ever thought or did in a lifetime. Typically, your ability to view your current lifetime is 'cheating'--and when you go to look at it, all you see is blank. That happened to me once, in meditation.

I took a class from Kevin Todeschi, the head of A.R.E., the group founded by Edgar Cayce, on The Akashic Records. It was an e-class online, and it was very simple and well-thought out. There were guided meditations to do at your convenience and questions to answer. Kevin was very active in moderating the boards and answering questions. It was there I discovered, of all things, in a past life I had been a man who was a brother in battle with my father (in this life), sometime around the civil war.

Just as a deck of cards, especially Tarot cards, can be spread out before you and have a deeper personal meaning, so it is the same with all of your many past lives.

Allow them to come to you. You are normal and healthy when this happens. The memory block that has been place on every inhabitant of Earth has been lifted. Everything will all straighten out, and you will begin to see evidence and gain comfort from your lessons learned and wisdom achieved in your past incarnations on this planet.

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

The Energetics of Tobacco Use?

Do you smoke tobacco? Have you done so in the past? Have you thought to quit?

If you have quit tobacco, congratulations. You have kicked the hardest drug known to man, tobacco, the most addictive substance on earth. You also have done more for your health than a thousand doctor visits could achieve.

Tobacco use is prevalent in patients that I see. This is out here in California, where non-smoking is somewhat more popular a trend than in other parts of the country. I took care of a former smoker, who was 'known for his violent wake-ups' recently. 'It took six nurses to hold me down when I woke up from anesthesia. I didn't know where I was at the time, and when I realized what I was doing, I stopped. I kind of felt bad about it.'

Patients hurting their caregivers is a not-often discussed part of medicine. I know of a psychiatrist who was super gifted at their art, who had to quit in the devastating psychological aftermath of a patient attack that was so severe this doctor had to be taken to the Emergency Room.

The turbulent wake-up of a smoker is not seen in the non-smoker patients. For some reason, the smoker, especially the younger male patient, wakes up looking for a fight. Recently, I had my surgeon a big man (and also a lifelong vegetarian!) not leave the O.R. in order to help in case the patient was too much for myself and the four Filipino nurses in the O.R. Fortunately everything went well. I kept the breathing tube in, while this patient was breathing on their own. And upon waking up when the patient was ready, I came to the bedside and pulled the breathing tube.

The little wheels in the back of my subconscious started to turn. Upon my own waking up from sleeping this morning I had this connection flash onto my mind:

In Spirit Work , the breath is important, it is a part of the soul
think about it: in Yoga, meditation, and Higher Spiritual work, the breath is a point of focus
(it is called Prana, Qi, Chi, Mana, and The Violet Flame)

In Smoking, the fumes of a burning plant are inhaled, and nicotine goes into the bloodstream
Nicotine will calm you down if you are anxious, and perk you up if you are sleepy
Edgar Cayce, a chain smoker himself, used to say, 'there are no cigarettes in Heaven' and smoked more
An entire industry is based on this practice

Where did tobacco use originate? Was it with the Native Americans, and their Peace Pipe? I am not sure. But what if sharing a pipe to 'seal a deal' had a metaphysical side linked to it that has been lost in History? Those First Nations people are descended from the Star people. They know what they are doing. (Just yesterday I read about Time Masters, and how the Mayan Calendar was a gift to Earth from them.--it has to do with the 'year' of the sun. Just like how we circle the sun, the sun has an orbit around the galactic central sun that takes about 13,000 years.)

I don't know metaphysically, the exact impact of tobacco on the  human soul. Not yet.

But for the human body, it produces a profound peripheral vasoconstriction in minutes (that's why it helps headaches, but also creates non-union of bones that are trying to heal.) It affects the heart and lungs in the short term, and in the long term. Skin loses its elasticity, and the smoker appears to age prematurely. But nausea and vomiting after surgery is less of a risk in a smoker. But in putting something into the mouth, and sucking on it, it triggers all of the early childhood bonding mechanism of 'latching on' and 'having oral gratification'. There is a lot of money to be made off of the addiction to the substance plus the health effects can be fatal in the long term. An entire industry of 'smoking cessation' is now doing well too! I don't know for sure, but I know enough to ask the question:

could it be possible that the nature of tobacco and all of its metaphysical and physical effects on the human body have been exploited in the submission of others?

If sports are the opiate of the masses, could tobacco be a similar substance introduced to keep population down, population 'happy', and everyone sinking in Vibration with every puff, only to be more beholden to Big Tobacco?

Update: Research on Reincarnation

I was in on a long case, the patient was stable, and I pulled out my July/August/September 2012 Issue of Venture Inward the magazine of the Edgar Cayce organization called A.R.E.

This article resonated with me deeply. The photos in it are uncanny. Facial features reincarnate with marked resemblance. Plus, there is actual research that has been done on children who recall past lives, give data, and it turns out to be true. Children are studied rather than adults, because they have no other way to obtain this information. They can't read and are spiritually closer to Source than adults.

Here is the link to the article:
http://media.edgarcayce.org/venture_inward/07092012/index.html

Ian Stevenson did an incredible body of work Reincarnation Cases. Here is a link to the University of Virginia Division of Perceptual Studies in the Department of Psychiatry which has carried on his work since his death in 2007:
http://www.medicine.virginia.edu/clinical/departments/psychiatry/sections/cspp/dops/home-page
It makes this phenomenon seem more 'legit', in a way, that people would study it, and record cases. There are 'affinity cases', such as Dorothy Dandridge/Halle Berry, where the reincarnated one is inexplicably drawn toward the previous life persona. There are also some where the soul splits into two incarnations at the same time! It is fascinating, from both a scientific and a metaphysical perspective.

Here is a video that illustrates how memories, emotions and even physical traumas carry over from one life to the next. Consciousness is something separate from the brain itself, and these studies lend evidence to the existence of the soul.

This weekend, Walter Semkiw and Kevin Reyerson will present Soul Connection: Reincarnation, Past Lives, and Soul Groups Reunited, September 21-23 in Virginia Beach.  Visit EdgarCayce.org/conferences or call 800-333-4499 if you are interested.

I shared this article with my mother and family over breakfast. Mom shared that all her life she has had memory of two prior lifetimes: the first as a daughter of a count, and the second of life in Egypt. The first memory she loved her dad very much, he was important, but she thinks she died young because
'the memories stop after about age ten'.  We had never had this discussion before. I know of three past lives clearly for myself. And both my mother and I suspect my oldest boy, the Reiki Master, is her father come back. We both had been incredibly close to him in Life. And when he passed, I helped him cross over to the Light. He was surprised and angry at his sudden passing. For ten years I paid for flowers to be on his grave, every week, automatically by the cemetery. He was afraid of being forgotten. Now my son, and her grandson, looks like him, and acts like him, but doesn't know this. He loves pasta, meatballs, and canned peaches just like my grandfather did. He even makes the same slurping sounds when he eats!

Mother shared with me something she had never told a soul: the moment she first lay eyes on me at birth, a flash of recognition went between us. 'I have known this one before!' she thought to herself with relief. I opened my eyes, looked into hers, and smiled moments after we met for the first time.

I hope this topic helps you find connections like it has for me.
