Something To Add: Mc Medical 'Info'

I just read a very disturbing 'article' that was shared on Facebook. It has to do with the 'Most Dangerous Prescription Drugs'.

I am compelled to add my expertise both as a physician and as a holistic energy healer to address this Disinformation effectively:

Number 15:  Just Because It Is Prescribed, Don't Trust It

Here's the linkhttp://precious786.likes.com/the-most-dangerous-prescription-drugs?pid=118591&utm_source=mylikes&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=ml&utm_term=26712190

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  The authors are telling you THIS: 'trust us--who have NOT gone to medical training for ten years--to inform YOU of what your doctor WON'T TELL YOU'. This is a substitution, asking you to take your trust in your doctor and give it to them, the writers of the post. What does your heart center say to you when you read this? Your mind is probably like, 'Cool! Secrets! I'm in!' but listen to your heart. The fact of the matter is most prescriptions are written on a 'standard of care' basis. Yes, there might be unscrupulous 'outliers', My advice to you: read Wikipedia, or Up To Date, not this article, for balanced information to help you decide on whether this drug is right for you. Do NOT read the drug inserts--they aren't helpful, and show every bad outcome. Do your research online, and ask your doctor too. Look at the page again. It is a vehicle to sell adds! Three-quarters of the page IS adds! And you need to click to fifteen different pages to read the whole article! This makes about four pages of information and roughly twelve of Advertising! I see this:

Does this author have your best interest at heart?

Number 14: Use Antibiotics In Moderation

Here's the link: http://likes.com/misc/the-most-dangerous-prescription-drugs?pid=118591&v=eyJjbGlja19pZCI6IDIyNzUwMTc2MDYsICJwb3N0X2lkIjogMjY3MTIxOTAsICJjIjogIm90aGVyX3N1c3BlY3QifQ&page=2

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  STOP! Time out! What is this???

  • The three most dangerous drugs are--levaquin, Vancocin, and Bactrim? Why? For creating multi drug resistance in bacteria?
  • Levaquin is a fluoquinolone. It is big for pneumonia and urinary tract infections. It's a 'big gun' as far as pills go. Levquine and the family aren't to be used in children--it affects growth and development of the body.  http://www.medicinenet.com/levofloxacin/article.htm
  • Vancomycin is i.v. 'big gun' antibiotic used for surgical prophylaxis in heart surgery and other cases where the patient is penicillin-allergic. Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus and Vancomycin-resistant staph aureus are being seen and this makes the news. Vanco can cause 'red man syndrome', where histamine release makes the skin turn red as it is given. It also can cause nephrotoxicity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vancomycin
  • Bactrim causes a reaction that makes sunburn worse. It also has sulfa in it, and some are allergic. It also might cause weakened bone marrow (myelosuppression) and liver toxicity. Here's wiki for more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bactrim
  • See how easy it is to find real information? It takes no more clicks and not much more reading than the original article about the "Most Dangerous Prescription Drugs'.

Number 13:  Beta Blockers 'weaken the heart in its pumping over time' so 'keep your regimen short term'

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add: If you were healthy, would your doctor even be WRITING you for beta blockers? NO. Beta blockers are used to rate control atrial fibrillation, to support the heart and increase lifespan/quality of life in congestive heart failure, AND to control blood pressure. It is used for migraines, anxiety before public speaking, and essential tremor. Please know WHY you are on it, and then read this link--I didn't see anything about 'weakening of the heart' here--do you? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_blockers  How do you think your health will be if you go untreated with your medical condition out of 'fear of the long term heart weakening'. Always keep in mind the risk to benefit ratio--and go for the most benefit with the least risk to you. If you don't like the side effects, you can explore alternative medications with your doctor. This includes going RAW Vegan. It lowered a friend's triglycerides from the 1000's to the 100's in three weeks. (always be sure to test and recheck if a treatment, any treatment, is WORKING).

Number 12: Cold and Flu Over-The-Counter Medications

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add: One summer I worked for a major consumer products company. They made these things. Do you know what the research scientists on the projects called these products? Garbage Medicine. I kid you not! There was NO benefit from them, and this was decades ago, but people liked them so they kept selling them! I agree with the authors on this one. Pediatricians do not recommend any decongestant or over-the-counter like this for infants and toddlers for a reason. Why take them for you? Especially if you have high blood pressure, these medications will raise it. I wouldn't recommend 'colloidal silver' routinely--some have turned gray in the skin from its overuse.

Number 11:  Arthritis Medications Only Cover The Pain and Speed Up Joint Degeneration

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  Again, it is a question of risk to benefit. The risk is kidney toxicity (increased exponentially if tylenol is taken at same time as NSAIDS), GI bleeding and ulcer, and accelerated cartilage destruction. The benefit is pain relief and increased motility. Other things to try? Well, it depends on whether it is Rheumatoid arthritis or Osteo arthritis. One college classmate was bedridden until he learned he changed his diet--no 'nightshade family'--eggplant, tomato, potato--and he could walk and function with his juvenile arthritis again. Daily self-Reiki is going to help with the pain. And here is an affirmation from Louise Hay: I am Love. I now choose to love and approve of myself. I see others with Love. The more debilitating the illness, the more other options need to be explored; find 'what works for you' and stick to it.

Number 10:  Antipsychotic Drugs Have Long-Term Side Effects--Research them well

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  Again, I agree. My ex-husband was a Seroquel rep. We knew Zyprexa made people gain a lot of weight. Everyone in the business knew it made people get high cholesterol and diabetes. But it was a living. (This concept is called career-ship--an excellent lecture is here: http://youtu.be/L7pBpvFHO2g)

this is a researcher, a physicist, who understands the 'research game'

Again, it's a tough call--psychosis and possible harm to self or others, or serious side effects? Look things up on the Internet. Ask other patients. Ask doctors and nurses. Try it and see what works for you. As an aside, I shudder inwardly when I have a patient on Duloxetine (Cymbalta) for surgery--the blood pressure behaves erratically, and my standard medicines to correct blood pressure don't work 'right'. All of these inhibitors affect some of the 'fight or flight' biochemicals that affect blood pressure as well as the brain under anesthesia. I work hard on those patients to keep their blood pressure stable during the case.

Number 9:  Proscar Is Unsafe For Sexual Partners--to touch or have sex with

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  It is a known teratogen--induces mutation in human embryology--Here's Wiki on it:

Teratogenicity

Finasteride is in the FDA pregnancy category X. This means that it is known to cause birth defects in a fetus. Women who are or who may become pregnant must not handle crushed or broken finasteride tablets, because the medication could be absorbed through the skin. Finasteride is known to cause birth defects in a developing male baby. Exposure to whole tablets should be avoided whenever possible, however exposure to whole tablets is not expected to be harmful as long as the tablets are not swallowed. It is not known whether finasteride passes into breast milk, and thus should not be taken by breastfeeding women. Finasteride may pass into the semen of men, but Merck states that a pregnant woman's contact with the semen of a man taking finasteride is not an issue for concern. Finasteride is known to affect blood donations, and potential donors are typically restricted for at least a month after their most recent dose.[35]

How many men with big prostates are going to be fathering children? This is like, men over Fifty! And even if it was a 'love at last starting the second family', the sperm is okay, the pill is okay, only if it is taken by the woman or the pill crushed would it cause harm. So don't freak out, okay? It's do-able. And just go and get a TURP (trans-urethral resection of the prostate). You'll pee better too, and won't need that medication. Here is the rest from Wiki on this drug to 'open a large prostate'; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finasteride

Number 8:  Long-term Use Of Diuretics Has Potentially Serious Side Effects

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add: If your doctor is prescribing you diuretics. your body has been in 'imbalance' and 'Dis-ease' for a very long time. This is a serious 'wake up call' to you. The things the article says are basically true, but 'slanted' to frighten you. This is unfair because you don't have many options. Research everything you can, including major lifestyle changes, and alternative treatments. Keep a check on your 'target organ function'--blood pressure, heart studies, kidney function, to make sure you don't waste what time you have left. Twenty years can pass by very fast, and you might stretch it to thirty, forty, or longer with 'what works for you'. Here is an affirmation, again from Louise Hay, for hypertension: I joyously release the past. I am at Peace.

Number 7:  Cholesterol Lowering Drugs

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add: I remember the lecture when the famous researcher taught us that cholesterol and lipids and plaque rupture led to heart attacks. He was creepy. And very arrogant. I was like, 'how does he know that this far-fetched fairy tale is the REAL reason behind it?' I was skeptical. Yes, we do know that aggressive lowering of cholesterol prevents restenosis of coronary artery stents. This is achieved with medication. However, we are also starting to learn that the low-fat diet which is promoted for Heart Health almost guarantees diabetes and kidney disease. Everything is connected. If you have serious requirement for health reasons to lower your cholesterol, don't just 'eat healthy'--go RAW vegan. Bill Clinton went Vegan. He hasn't been back to the hospital since...just saying....

Number 6:  Ritalin

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  This is way outside the scope of my practice. What I DO know is that if you study with it, you need to test with it too. Caffeine. Music. It has something to do with the way knowledge is stored. Here's the link to Wiki on the drug: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ritalin . And what I hear in my studies on Spirit online is that these souls are Higher Vibration, and don't need Ritalin. They 'remember' their origin, and how education was done there, and just aren't a good match for our 'dumbing down' system of control through education in society today.

Number 5:  Coumadin

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add: This post has gross medical errors. The newest drug on the market, Dabigatran, Pradaxa, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dabigatran, does not need the patient to 'keep coming back'. However, it is more expensive than coumadin alone, perhaps not more so than coumadin plus monitoring. (Here is a link to anticoagulation, in general--from the best medical reference site out there--Up To Date. It's subscription, but perhaps your library might 'connect' for the whole article for you. http://www.uptodate.com/contents/anticoagulation-with-direct-thrombin-inhibitors-and-factor-xa-inhibitors). Vitamin C has nothing to do with coagulation--it is Vitamin K--which is a typo but also dangerous because then the Coumadin can be reversed. It takes 10 mg intramuscular injection for three days to reverse overdose of coumadin. And fresh frozen plasma transfusions.)

Number 4:  Prozac

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add: For some people this might prevent them from committing suicide. For others, who are under MK Ultra programming, it might be something to keep them 'controlled' and/or and 'excuse' for then the MK Ultra 'handler' sends them off to do a 'terrorist act'. We don't know. I know for me when I was depressed and getting treatment, my intuition said, 'talk therapy only, no drugs'. I only speak for myself. I do not know and do not judge another's depression.

Number 3:  Prednisone

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  I, too, fought prednisone for years with my chronic sinus infections. They'd prescribe the pills, I wouldn't take them. In medical school I learned about adrenocortical suppression, and always refused the drug when it was prescribed. But the last few bad sinus infections I had, I took the prednisone shot, along with the antibiotic shot, and it saved me from surgery. Again, know there is a definite pattern of side effect from prednisone--http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prednisone
But for some people, like my niece and mom who have had kidney transplants, my father who had pulmonary fibrosis, the life-saving anti-inflammatory effect of the prednisone justifies the risks.

Number 2:  Methotrexate

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add:  Methotrexate is a very big gun. It frightens me. That being said, when nothing else works, what else is there to do? It is a chemotherapeutic drug, but my grandmother took it for her rheumatoid arthritis. Again, it's all with the risk to benefit ratio. Here is what wiki has to say: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methotrexate. I choose Wiki for the links because it is more 'reader friendly' than other medical sites, and pretty balanced...

Number 1:  The Determination--All in Moderation

Here's what Reiki Doc has to add: Is this a drug? Wasn't it Fifteen Most Dangerous Drugs? And this is number ONE?! 'Moderation' is a tricky concept.  Let's call it, 'Inner Knowing'--get your facts, and listen to your gut once you have good, non-fear-based data. And sleep on it! In this day and age, know that 'food is a medicine' and further, getting rid of poisons that are marketed as 'food' is going to have a pretty dramatic effect on your overall health. Crystals, energy healing, Reiki, sound therapy, light therapy are all the ways of the future. Do what 'feels right' to you, and be sure to test, test, test to measure your progress with each form of treatment. Be sure to make an informed decision every step of the way.

Then again, there's always the Pendulum! Here's how to use one to have Spirit 'guidance' when making a decision! http://reikidoc.blogspot.com/2012/11/vote-your-pendulum.html

Aloha and Mahalos,
Namaste,

Reiki Doc

I've been in the MRI scanner for a pituitary tumor, and my right ACL--and I STILL do not like it! (If you ever have to go, ask for music or earplugs, and a blanket. It's cold and LOUD.)

Mr. and Mrs. Scooter

Today I was guided to take a left instead of a right out of the Doctor's Parking Lot. Both ways lead home, and it didn't make a difference, so I listened to Guidance and I changed up my route.

At the corner, on the main street in front of the hospital, I had to wait to turn left because I saw a couple like this crossing the street.

I couldn't believe it!

There are COUPLES in mobility scooters?

That's when my intuition went off...this is not an accident.

In the O.R. I have been noticing a pattern among couples: evidence of Mutual Poisoning.

For example, the patient for Gastric Bypass Surgery typically has a mate that is even more heavy than the patient. Many couples undergo it together, with the 'test' one going first by about six to nine months. It is a lifestyle change for both of them.

I see this too at the local steakhouse. Do you know how many handicapped parking spaces there are in front of it? Almost as many as at the hospital! I am not kidding. The entire front of the building is lined with blue parking spaces. And next door? Guess what they just built? A new dialysis center!

This is a slow kill, folks.

They are poisoning you.

They do it with a 'healthy ham sandwich'. You know I killed a turtle once by accident. I fed it some ham and it ate it. My other turtle, Rafaella, wouldn't touch it. I still have her now. I didn't put two and two together for a long time. It took me much longer to realize that if the ham kills turtles it might not be that good for me, either. I lost my beloved Michaelangelo. At the time I thought maybe it was the spray for ants the manager put into the apartment....My snake also died too, and both were near the window. It could have been the sun, but that is unusual because there is no direct light because of the balcony. I think it was the snake never eating once, and the turtle eating ham. It 'resonates'.

So what is wrong with ham?

I don't know where to begin. Is it because it is a dead animal? Is it the hormone shots and antibiotics? Is it the miserable conditions for them to live? Or the filthy slaughterhouse where they know they are going to die? It is the saturated fat? Is it the curing it with chemicals and salt and sugar? Is it the way they make it taste good so you eat a lot of it?

I don't know for sure. I could be wrong. I like ham. At Easter it is the best, and last year I bought a spiral $$$ one.

I have evolved in my own path. This is not to say that what is right for me is right for you. It is, though, time to share openly 'I have my questions' and in fact, perhaps you might have some questions to bring up together too?

That hand made a lot of sandwiches. And bought whatever was being marketed to it.

That's how they do it, the slow kill.

What comes next? Matching caskets? I saw a casket truck on the way home yesterday. I have never seen one on the road going TO or FROM work, ever, not for many many years. What a coincidence!

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

The Pattern Again

I saw it again. The double cancer. This time it was thyroid first and then breast. I couldn't get an energy read on the patient. I was too sick.

Yesterday I wanted to go home. I listened to my body. Through a case cancellation and a gap, I was able to rest in the car between cases for two hours. That deep sleep is helpful.

I have suffered from chronic bronchitis/sinusitis since my surgery when I was 25. I tried healing on my own, when there was bloody purulent pus coming out of my nose. I went to the doctor, and he almost did surgery on me. That is when I started the antibiotics. Lots and lots of them.

My asthma makes it hard. Every February, I get very sick. This time it was the babysitter's sore throat that went to my son that went to me. The babysitter never needs antibiotics. Maybe half the time, I guess.

My son's cough is better. But his post-nasal drip is worse. And me, my eyes are all glassy. My cough in the OR yesterday was scary.

As if by chance, one of the surgeons I worked with was my own doctor from a place I used to work at before. He knows how sick I get. He has put me on super-doses of antibiotics to clear something I just couldn't. He was kind and asked me if I was taking anything. I said, 'no, I haven't had time to go to the doctor.' I could have asked. Curbside request for antibiotics. But it just seemed not cool.

I am listening to my body. Before, I knew that infections left scar tissue, in the sinuses and the bronchi. My bronchi are expanded from so much asthma and infection in my life. But I have listened to me body. It wants REST. And not to eat.

I feel better today. Yesterday I just sat in the OR for three hours, with the Bair Hugger on me and on my patient. It felt great. It was the first time I have been present in the OR in a long time. Usually I read the paper, catch up on paperwork, or go over my schedule. This time I self-Reiki'd. I also asked for angelic intervention with our illnesses at home. For the first time I am aware I live in this magnificent body, which is capable of self-healing. I want to listen to it. And I see like the animals, antibiotics allow us to work more, endure more stress, when we should be treated better and allowed to rest. Antibiotics are a scam for those who work too much. My body is trying to tell me the hours I work are too rough on it.

Anyhow, last night I got home at 8:30 p.m., and my son had the choice to go home with the sitter or stay with me. I have an insane 7:00 a.m. start. We normally start at 7:30. That extra half hour puts an hour on my schedule in the mornings. I have to drive ten minutes away to the sitter's to drop him off because the school is not open. I have to be there at 6:40 a.m. for a 7:00 a.m. start.

Time to make tea, lots and lots and lots of it. And some warm oatmeal too.

Namaste,

Reiki Doc

The Moribund: times when it is too late

This is mom saying goodbye to dad.

There is an expectation in the community that is not balanced. Actually, there are several of them. Today I am going to share stories with you I have seen in practice as a resident and as an attending that are important for you to know.

1) Your loved one will get better
Infection is a time race between the infecting organism (a parasite) and the host (your loved one).
It is a race of time between when the host immune system will beat the organism, or the other way around.

Sometimes the organism wins.

I have to intubate patients anywhere in the hospital who are in trouble. I was called once, while about five months' pregnant, to intubate a three year old in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This kid was toxic. When infection spreads fast and far enough, the coagulation (clotting) mechanism is overwhelmed.  This is a late finding in the battle, and is not good. Blood comes out every poke hole in the skin, in the mucus membranes, everywhere. I intubated him. And even though I was in and the sats were up, he coded. I watched the PICU team code this child a half hour and give it up. I saw them go to the hall and tell the parents that their boy had died. I heard the scream.

I will never forget that scream for as long as I live. It was agony voiced.

The mistake that these parents did, is that for whatever reason, medical care was not sought until the infection had the upper hand. There is a race of time. When the bacteria or whatever is about to win does not give enough time for the medicines and therapy to work.

Any temperature over 101.5F is a fever. I know there are lots of parents out there that hate to go to the doctor. You have to take time off work, and it can be the middle of the night. But I think most parents should know that A) this is YOUR kid and B) YOUR kid is sick and you need to do something about it.
I don't care if the authorities are going to deport you back to someplace you worked hard to escape and you are here illegally. I don't care if you believe in antibiotics or not. If you are not trained in the medical field, you are going to miss some important signs and symptoms of illness if you do not have a trained person on your side. Give them a call as soon as possible. Ask them what to do.

This is NOT GIVING UP POWER! This is using an important resource that is available at this time on Earth. Be sure you know when and where to use it.

2) The doctor is always right

I can't begin to tell you how many stupid doctors are out there. I diagnosed my own mother's cause of kidney failure. Her protein in her urine and blood was high when she had had nausea and barely eaten for six months. I asked for serum electrophoresis to make sure it was not Multiple Myeloma, which presents like that. I was close. It was a different antibody and was Goodpasture's syndrome.

My niece around kindergarten had bloody diarrhea. This was not good. The doctor said it was the flu. That's what they said about my mom. My sister kept taking her back. Sure enough, full blown e. coli. Very severe. Almost died. My sister trusted her intuition and kept going. She has saved the life of my mother three times and her daughter once because of that.

Your intuition is as right as the doctor

Listen to it, if you are a child, a parent, a friend. When there is a conflict with what the doctor says, and your heart, always listen to your heart. For after all, you will have to live with your heart and the result of this decision for the rest of your life.

3) Natural is better

Primitive Mommy posted about 'was your birth plan respected?'

She and the entire birthing rights community has it backward. All births are special. Yes. Are all births normal? They are not.

If Nature was to rule, we would have to accept Natural Selection at work. That would mean, acceptance of death and injury to the infant/mother in childbirth.

People die. They always have. In less advanced societies. And historically. People die while giving birth.

There is only so much a midwife can do. I work with them. Sometimes they have to call the doctor. And we have to operate. This is called a 'crash section'. You do not want to be that.

Let me explain. A crash section means we rush to save the life of the baby and/or the mother.
Under good circumstances it takes less than five minutes to take a child out of the womb with adequate dissection of the bladder off the uterus to protect it. In lay terms, we 'make room' to get the baby out.
In a crash that child is out in less than a minute.

If you are faced with the prospect of a c-section, wouldn't you rather  have it be under non-Crash circumstances so they can take care of 'everything else' down there? I would.

And for those of you wary of epidurals and anesthesia in childbirth, here are the facts:

Onset and placement of epidural: fifteen minutes if mom holds still and has normal palpable anatomy of spine

Onset and placement of spinal: ten minutes if mom is not fat or thrashing

Onset of general anesthesia: less than one minute.

That's right. If you go through labor with no epidural, and crash, guess what? You are going to sleep. The event you are hyper-focused on will take place while you are unconscious and your spouse nowhere in sight. And you put your child at risk due to the general anesthesia that is in your bloodstream. They are born 'asleep' and have to 'wake up' in addition to going through a traumatic birth that made you need a c-section.

Bring your birthing balls and candles all you want. We honor your birth plans as much as possible. BUT, when birth starts to be anything other than routine, your Labor team will start to give suggestions. Try pitocin. Take an epidural. Why? Because these have helped us to avoid doing c-sections in the past with mothers whose labor patterns were like yours.

Healthy mom plus healthy baby. Isn't that both of our goals?

4) Our loved one is a FIGHTER!

I am sorry. When more than one organ system starts to go, in the ICU we call that circling the drain. Add any more organ systems (on a ventilator, with pressors to help the blood pressure and the heart, and add hepatic failure) and the chances of recovery are next to nothing.

This is the time to accept.

We did a take back on a patient with Hepatitis C with a large brain tumor who was bleeding into the wound. There had been a heart attack in the past. And coma with the hepatitis c. Why put your loved one through all that? Why spend your copayments and your loved one's insurance to stave off the inevitable? Give them comfort. Give them care. But don't try for heroics.

Last week a pulmonologist had a patient who was hypoxemic and and endotracheal tube of 7.0 mm diameter in. He wanted a tube of 8.0 mm, or at least 7.5 mm, so his bronchoscope could fit.
I got a partner to help me do it. Sats were 80% and weight was BMI of 80. I had said no to the doc but my partner said yes. I got the soft exchange catheter. We stick it in one tube, slide the old one out, slide a new one in back over it. Mine did not have good ability to ventilate, but it could. The partner wanted better. They went back to the stockroom and got the fat yellow one. Guess what? In shoving it down, the mucosa bled. Although the exhange was 'successful' all the pulmonologist saw in the airway was blood.
I think of situations like this as 'giving them their chance'. I think that sometimes we should not be so generous in doing so. This patient died the next day. The low oxygen sats took their toll on the kidney, and it failed. Patient was too unstable for dialysis.

5) They are THEM and we are US

That is not true. My fearful Bradley method mother in labor with the piercings, tattoo, dark as Priscilla Presley hair and husband from Portland had couplet contractions. They were two contractions close together with not much rest in between. She knew enough that this was not normal, listened to her body and knew herself, saw the big picture, and listened to her labor nurse and got an epidural. She was concerned that once her water broke she was going to have pain she could not tolerate any more. That is what made her decide. And after she did, she was glad.

I told her 'healthy mom, healthy baby', 'enjoy your labor', and  'at each step of the way, we make an informed choice'. Baby does not read the book on natural labor.

When the nurse left the room, I shared, "I gave you Reiki. I am a Reiki Master" It was a total disconnect for them. Their jaws dropped as they were struggling to understand. I had to rephrase it, 'I may not look like it now, BUT I AM ONE OF YOU! I can't tell anyone here now, but I want you to know I am working so that one day I can.'

Do you KNOW how many doctors and nurses have published about Reiki and Intuitive Medicine and Energetic Medicine? There are a LOT. Meredith Kendall. Mona Lisa Shultz. Caroline Myss. Many many big names. Look at Dr. Oz! Deepak Chopra...There is a movement. And for every one of them there are hundreds of healers like me who are afraid to talk.

Dad touched my arm and thanked me for what I did. I felt the Reiki coming back. They were healers too. That newborn was going to be lucky to have them.

Friday, I was at Starbucks with a Mormon coworker to discuss politics at work. We are both single parents and can't afford to follow the lead of others who had left over the disagreements. While we were talking, my first patient I gave Reiki to openly in the hospital was there. Evan. She was a nutritionist who told me to get off soy. And I did Reiki on her postpartum. I blogged about it. Well she said, 'You were the one that did Ray-i-ki on me' right in front of the Mormon. I was glad she did well, and would have loved to talk more, but I couldn't. Not with him. But she looked great and the child was a little crystal child. I could feel it.

Things are moving up towards enlightenment and ascension in the practice of Medicine. Give it time. Until then, please leave your expectations at the door and go into the medical center with an open heart. And listen to it!

Namaste,

Reiki Doc
